365-Day Trial Marriage With Hunk: Wife’s A Little Wild

Chapter 263 - Chapter 263: Chapter 263 Mind Your Own Business

Chapter 263: Chapter 263 Mind Your Own Business
This was the capital of his arrogance.

“Who you choose for your experiments is your business, but stay as far away from mine as possible. Give her any more hints she shouldn’t receive, and I guarantee your lab will be blown to smithereens,” Dan Hanjie said indifferently, every word brimming with possessiveness.

He saw the flicker of interest in Diwu Zexuan’s eyes, a man’s interest in a woman, no matter what its nature, he wouldn’t allow.

“Pretty ruthless.”

But his intuition was also prickling. He was able to tell from Diwu Zexuan’s glance that he wanted to use Jin Lan as an experimental subject.

Jin Chenye had assumed he was trying to curry favor with the Meng family, oblivious to the fact he didn’t even regard the Thai king highly, let alone the Meng family.

If not for his interest in Jin Lan’s condition and the presence of someone he wanted to see in Fico City, Diwu Zexuan would not have been so easily persuaded to make an appearance.

Of course, his biggest guilty pleasure was gossip.

Diwu Zexuan shrugged, “Jie, I heard Bai Wei has been found. She’s alive but traumatized, what’s your plan? I can help with her physical ailments, but when it comes to her mental ones, I’m helpless.”

“Mind your own business. Any more noise, and I won’t mind using your medicine to poison you to muteness.” Dan Hanjie’s voice was low, heavily displeased.

He stood up from the couch and paced towards the door.

When he reached the door, he paused, “Find your own hotel room. Let me see you within three meters of her again, and I’ll cripple you.”

“Jie, your medical report…” Diwu Zexuan watched as Hanjie strolled away, lost for words.

“Ever since he met Miss Qin, Mr. Jie hasn’t had to rely on sleeping pills in a long time,” Yao, standing next to Diwu Zexuan, reminded him out of the blue.

Diwu Zexuan was taken aback, turning to Yao, “Are you saying Qin Youxuan is like Bai Wei?”

“Similar, but also different. The nuance is only clear to Mr. Jie himself. I don’t dare to speculate,” Yao cautiously answered, “Mr. Jie doesn’t like any man getting close to Miss Qin. If you don’t want to provoke Mr. Jie, Mr. Zexian, it’s best if you leave the Qin Family as soon as possible.”

“Any man, including you?”

“Yes.”

Diwu Zexuan’s eyes narrowed slightly, his silvery irises deep and inscrutable.

Diwu Zexuan disappeared from the Qin Family home.

Qin Youxuan learnt about this from the butler.

She expressed a moment’s surprise before heading towards the guest room.

Opening the door, she found it was completely empty.

Everything had been tidied away, it looked like no one had ever lived there.

“He’s gone?”

Does it mean there’s no hope for Jin Lan passed away?

Looking back at the butler, Qin Youxuan was disheartened.

She had just confirmed that the man she bumped into for the first time was not Diwu Zexuan, and before she even had time to ask what those cryptic words meant, he had left.

His timing was impeccable.

“Mr. Diwu went out for a bit and then packed his stuff to go to a hotel. I don’t know what happened,” the butler shared, looking confused, his gaze falling on the empty room.

He had been a butler at the Qin Family for most of his life, and he had never come across such a strange guest before.

“You’re saying he’s just gone to stay at a hotel, not that there’s no hope for Jin Lan?” Qin Youxuan was startled.

He has yet to give up, could he really awaken a vegetative patient?

“Mr. Diwu hasn’t started treating Mrs. Lan yet, he took her medical records and left. The young master didn’t stop him. As for anything else, I’m not sure,” the butler shook his head.

“This Diwu Zexuan, is he a really good doctor?” Qin Youxuan furrowed her brows.

A man who even caught the attention of Dan Hanjie, she mused, was certainly no ordinary man.
