A JOURNEY THAT CHANGED THE WORLD

Chapter 1287: I Have Something To Show You

Archer watched as millions of gold coins and gems poured out to join his current horde, which made his greed skyrocket. ’I can’t wait to rob the other banks, maybe I’ll hit more than five? It will be worth it.’

After all the wealth was gone, he turned to the artifacts that appeared in the room he made for them and the blackmail material would stay with him. Once he emptied the Item box, he returned to the living room.

Inara and Aisha were sitting there chatting to Llyniel as the sunset. It sent a beautiful pink shade through the window that lit up the treehouse which he found mesmerizing. While the three gossiped, he said his hellos before teleporting to Talila.

’Now it’s time to help these two out with their push forward,’ he mused with an excited smile.

After arriving at the eastern part of Duskfire, he flew toward the fortress he needed to take and quickly noticed the Alliance soldiers heavily defended it. Archer’s smile grew wide as he used Mana Manipulation to vanish.

He approached the walls and landed on a quieter section before bringing out four Oathkeepers. Two stood in front of him, with the others behind as they started walking forward.

In an instant, Archer dismissed the spell, and the enemy soldiers surged forward when they spotted him, eager to strike. But they were met with an unyielding wall of steel as he summoned his knights.

Thalion’s sword gleamed as it sliced through the air. With every swing, it cleaved through armor and flesh alike, its power unstoppable as it tore the enemy apart. The wall echoed with the sickening sound of bone being severed, as the knights remained an unstoppable force.

He watched as the Oathkeepers descended upon the fortress defenders like a storm of death. The enemies faltered in the face of such overwhelming force. Thalion led the charge, his sword cut through the enemy ranks to clear the way.

One swing cleaved a man in half, another carved through a shield like it was paper. The knights moved in unison. They killed every defender who tried to hold their ground, their cries lost in the battle.

Archer’s eyes narrowed as he could barely hear the screams, lost amidst the slaughter. It was a massacre. The defenders stood no chance as they crumbled under his knights, and with each fallen soldier, the fortress grew quieter.

Following that, the knights continued fighting the Alliance as the two in front started using their hands to punch and crush the attacker’s skulls. An hour later, they reached the courtyard with a mountain of corpses behind them.

’’This is becoming tedious,’’ he muttered in annoyance. ’’They keep attacking and retreating.’’

Archer dismissed the Oathkeepers before using his monsters to deal with the rest of the fortress. He waved his hand and opened a portal just as the Drakkuri poured out like a wave, which pleased him.

Hundreds of the centipede-like creatures flooded the fortress and started killing the remaining soldiers. The sound of chittering and screaming echoed out as the four knights surrounded him while he sat down to relax.

Ten minutes later, the battle had ended, and every soldier was dead while the Drakkuri started feasting on the bodies. Archer stood up and ordered them to return to the Domain while sucking all the corpses into the Shadow Realm.

Once the place was empty, he cleared the next two castles, which was easier than he expected. The enemies used cannons that could hurt him, but he happily dodged all the attacks before unleashing a swarm of Broodmaws.

By the time Archer was done, plumes of black smoke drifted into the air from his previous fights. He was sitting on the top of a keep while watching the stars above and sent a message to Elara.

’I have cleared the next three fortresses,’ he said with a smirk. ’You might want to advance before the Alliance reclaims them.’

Moments later, Talila and Elara thanked him for the help before he returned to the Domain to dump out more food. Archer reappeared not far from the Venomwing Colony and emptied the Shadow Realm of all the Wild Pigs.

Following that, the animals rushed off into the underbrush of a nearby forest before sending a fair share of bodies to the five colonies. The queens were grateful, but he waved them off before teleporting to the necromancer sister’s home.

Archer appeared at the entrance and walked down the stairs only to appear in their living quarters. He noticed Morena was busy reading as Demacia was fast asleep while letting out adorable snores.

When the older woman spotted him, her face lit up as she leaped to her feet and hurried toward him, a radiant smile on her lips. Morena wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him into a warm embrace.

’’Hello handsome!’’ she exclaimed. ’’It’s good to see you.’’

Archer smiled in return before leaning in, capturing her lips in a deep, passionate kiss. The necromancer melted into it, returning his affection. After a few lingering moments, they finally pulled apart, her eyes shining with excitement.

With a radiant expression, she spoke. ’’I have something to show you, husband. Now, watch.’’

Morena grinned as she spoke. ’’Rise, my soldiers!’’

In an instant, Death Knights materialized throughout the room, their dark armor gleaming as they dropped to one knee before their mistress. Archer’s smile widened at the sight. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into a tight embrace.

’’This is perfect,’’ he said before kissing her once again. ’’You’re coming to fight the Alliance on Avidia with me. We need to show the enemy our new weapons.’’

Morena was just about to reply, but Demacia spoke in a determined voice. ’’Husband! Witness my new skill.’’

’’Come forth my Tyrants!’’ she exclaimed.

Archer’s eyes widened as several giant humanoids covered in armor and holding deadly weapons appeared out of the younger sisters’ shadows. He instantly felt their power and declared. ’’You two are going to attack the army that’s attacking us through the desert. That should bring Duskfire to the table, just like Moonriver.’’

When the sisters heard this, excitement sparkled in their eyes. Without hesitation, Demacia lunged at him, wrapping her arms tightly around him. Her blue eyes gleamed with affection before she pressed her lips to his in a kiss even more passionate than her sister’s.

After that, the younger woman climbed off him as he suggested. ’’When the war calms down. Do you two want to come on a date?’’

Their eyes gleamed with excitement as Morena answered with a big smile. ’’Of course, husband. We would love to get out here once our projects are complete.’’

Archer nodded just as Demacia answered. ’’Yes! I want to spend more time with you husband.’’

After that, he spent an hour with the sisters, listening intently as they shared everything they had been working on. Morena, eager to show him more, insisted on giving him a tour. As they entered the prison, the air grew heavy with an eerie presence.

Tyrants and Blood Crawlers prowled the walkways, their monstrous forms casting long, twisted shadows against the dimly lit stone walls. Archer noticed the prisoners were trembling and trying to hide in the corner.

Without thinking, he cast Aurora Healing over the whole place, which healed the people and shocked the sisters. Demacia quickly commented. ’’They kept dying, but now you used your magic. We have more test subjects to turn into soldiers.’’

Following that, they led him through the dimly lit corridors of the prison. The scent of damp stone and blood lingered in the air. Tyrants loomed over the cells while Blood Crawlers skittered along the walls, their eyes gleaming in the darkness.’’

These prisoners are becoming worth all the food we supply to them,’’ Morena said while staring at a shivering woman who came from Earth. ’’Thanks to having no mana, they can become the perfect soldiers.’’

The prisoner spoke while looking at the three of them. ’’Why are you doing this to me? I didn’t mean to kill him. It was an accident!’’ she exclaimed.

’’That doesn’t matter, you belong to our husband now,’’ Morena replied with a look of hatred in her blue eyes. ’’I will turn you into a Death Knight to help us out in the war.’’Archer stared at the woman before grinning. ’’Stop acting like you’re innocent. I can smell death coming from you.’’

When the prisoner heard this, she started cackling, but he used Mana Manipulation to seal her mouth, which surprised the sisters, but they smiled. ’’Let’s continue, husband,’’ Morena said. The trio continued as they approached an exit.

While walking, Demacia turned to Archer, her blue eyes gleaming with excitement. ’’Our work here is fascinating, isn’t it?’’

They led him through a set of reinforced iron doors, which groaned open under their command.
