Archer continued to watch the Chull kill dozens of strange-looking fish monsters who were torn in half with ease. Their claws tore them in half thanks to their strength and by the time the fight was over the water was safer.
He teleported to the top of the wall and told the commanders to continue building the wall while being protected by his monsters below. After that, he returned to his private quarters, where Valariana, Aeliana, and Elara were relaxing.
When the three women spotted him, they beamed as the spider queen greeted him. ”Finally finished with your work, handsome?”
”Yes, the legion is attacking the city and wiping out their defences, but most are well protected thanks to their mages,” he answered while slumping down and getting comfortable.
Elara brought over a hot cup of tea as she added. ”Drink this and relax, Arch. The generals are watching the wall, and the enemy attacks have calmed down.”
Following that, Archer did as she said and started relaxing while the booms of cannons echoed out. The wall was shaking thanks to the force, prompting him to send out more monsters to haunt no man’s land.
Just then, the Burrowfiends and Broodmaw he unleashed on the Novgorod Capital connected with him. He could see through the eyes of the humanoid insects that were prowling around in alleyways.
The monster watched a group of soldiers pass by as it lunged at the isolated one at the back. It impaled the man with its talons before vanishing into the darkness as the mantis-like creatures killed the rest.
Archer figured out the creatures were causing chaos on Verdantia as they were being hunted by Demi-Gods. Many of his monsters were killed, but one Burrowfiend was alive and became a nightmare.
It would hide in people’s houses after slaughtering them before moving on to kill more guards. When the powerful enemies appeared, the creature scuttled off and hid in the city’s sewer. Hours later, the enemies stopped looking for the monster.
He watched as the sneaky monster slipped into a home through a shattered window, silent as death. Moments later, bloodcurdling screams pierced the air, abruptly silenced thanks to it killed the occupants.
Archer’s jaw tightened as the Burrowfiend emerged, its maw dripping with blood, leaving behind a house now still and lifeless. It scuttled toward the city’s guard post, where torchlight flickered and armored sentinels patrolled.
The fiend struck, its claws rending steel and flesh alike. Guards fell in sprays of blood, their shouts drowned by the creature’s guttural chittering, a sound that seemed to mock the living. Within moments, the post was a slaughterhouse, bodies strewn like broken dolls.
Panic spread like wildfire. Bells clanged in the distance, and civilians fled, their cries rising into a cacophony of dread. Archer observed the Burrowfiend weaving through the chaos, a specter of death claiming lives with each fleeting appearance.
It tore through a marketplace, upending stalls and gutting merchants who dared to stand their ground. Yet, when a squad of elites arrived, clad in rune-etched armor, their blades glowing with arcane light, the Burrowfiend’s demeanor shifted.
Its head twitched, sensing the threat, and with unnerving agility, it bolted, skittering down a storm drain into the city’s fetid sewers. Archer leaned forward, his pulse quickening. The creature’s cunning fascinated him. It wasn’t just a mindless killer; it was a predator that knew when to strike and when to vanish.
He could still sense its presence, a faint ripple of mana slithering beneath the streets. The defenders scrambled to regroup, their shouts echoing as they sealed off sewer entrances, unaware that the Burrowfiend was already biding its time in the labyrinth below.
A faint smirk tugged at his lips. ”Clever bastard,” he muttered.
The Burrowfiend was a problem for the Alliance, but for him, it was a tool, one he could exploit to weaken the enemy city from within. With a final glance at the smoldering chaos below, he melted into the shadows, already plotting his next move.
Following that, Archer jumped up and flew toward the Goldenmane city that targeted him with Mana Blasts. The wave of projectiles was destroyed by his Anti-Magic as he soared toward the walls and vanished.
Once inside, he found a dark alley to hide in as he summoned dozens of Burrowfiends and ordered them with a low voice. ”Kill all Alliance soldiers, spare the normal people. We don’t want them hating us.”
A loud chitter echoed out as the humanoid insects vanished into the darkness like ninjas, just as he used Mana Manipulation to turn invisible as he infected the city with his monsters, who quickly took control of the streets.
The soldiers on the wall were next, but when the Burrowfiends approached, they were stopped by a mana shield. Just then, seven beings surrounded him that were either on his level or stronger, none of them moved as a man stepped forward.
”Remember our deal, White Dragon,” he warned.
Archer’s eyes narrowed and nodded. ”Okay. But that won’t stop this from destroying the shield.”
Moments later, he summoned several Jungle Rhinos and pumped tons of mana into them before ordering the creatures. ”Attack the shield and bring it down.”
The monsters let out roars as his beasts charged toward the enemy wall and slammed into it with a loud boom. When the Pseudo Gods saw this, the man turned to him with a friendly smile. ”To seal the deal, how about I introduce you to my daughters? They’re all beautiful.”
Archer’s eyes narrowed, and he shook his head. ”No, thank you. I don’t want any more women unless it’s the Pope’s wife or Catherine Volkovitch.”
When the group heard this, they were shocked as a woman mumbled. ”You want the Witch of Verdantia? I heard she’s evil.”
He shrugged with a chuckle. ”And so am I? No one’s good here, it depends on what side you’re on.”
The Peusdo Gods sighed before vanishing, leaving him inside the Goldenmane City that was being taken by his monsters. Archer glanced at the panicked people and ignored them as he explored the city.
‘Order an attack. My Jungle Rhinos will bring the shield down,’ he sent a message to the Dragonkin woman waiting outside.

While Archer was doing that, Elara was standing with the First Cohort, who were going to breach the walls. After hearing the screams and shouting coming from the city, she ordered them to attack, prompting the soldiers to rush across No Man’s Land.
Moments later, the battlefield shuddered with deafening explosions, plumes of fire and smoke erupting as legionnaires charged toward the towering stone wall of Southwood City after her lover gave them the clear.
Amid the chaos, Elara sprinted alongside her troops, her boots pounding the blood-soaked earth, her eyes fixed on the ramparts above. There, atop the battlements, Burrowfiends rampaged through the cannon crews.
Their razor-sharp claws shredded flesh and metal alike, silencing the artillery. The defender’s screams were drowned by the creature’s chilling chittering, and the cannons fell dormant, granting her soldiers a crucial window to press their assault unhindered.
Elara’s heart pounded with determination as she signaled her troops forward, her voice cutting through the chaos. ”To the wall! We take it now!”
Each legionnaire wore specialized boot spikes, forged with mana-infused steel that bit into the stone like claws. She was the first to reach the base, her muscles coiling as she drove her spikes into the wall’s surface.
The metal sang with a faint hum, anchoring her securely. She climbed with speed, the spikes granting her the agility of a predator. Behind her, hundreds of legionnaires followed, their spikes sparking against the obsidian as they ascended in a wave of grim resolve.
Arrows rained from above, but Elara’s Mana-shield flared, deflecting the barrage in bursts of violet light. A Goldenmane Soldier leaned over the parapet, hurling a javelin, but she twisted mid-climb, catching the shaft and flinging it back with deadly accuracy.
The soldier fell, plummeting past her with a scream. ”Keep moving!” she bellowed, her voice a beacon for her troops as they neared the top.
Following that, Elara vaulted over the battlements, landing in a crouch amidst a squad of Goldenmane Soldiers, their lion-emblazoned shields gleaming under the afternoon sun. Her blade, wreathed in crackling mana, was already in her hands as she lunged.
The first Goldenmane swung a massive warhammer, but she sidestepped, her blades slicing through his armor’s joints, felling him in a spray of blood. Her legionnaires poured over the wall behind her, their weapons clashing with the defenders in a brutal melee.
Seconds later, it became a maelstrom of violence. Elara fought like a tempest, her blades weaving a deadly dance. She parried a Goldenmane’s thrusting spear, spun inside his guard, and drove her dagger into his throat.
Another charged, roaring, but she unleashed a pulse of mana, staggering him long enough for a legionnaire to bury an axe in his skull. The Goldenmanes were fierce, their training evident in their disciplined strikes.
