Chapter 1778 Entering A Secret World In The Inner Court

1778  Entering A Secret World In The Inner Court

Grey defeating a Dragon in the same cultivation stage proved to Sir Astarot that he could survive in the secret world he was about to enter with the Magical Beasts. With that confirmed, he was told to wait a little bit. A few days later. Grey gathered with the elites from the Dragon Clan, their destination was a remote region in the western region of the Inner Court. On the way there, Grey noticed that they didn't get to this place when they were visiting the Clans the last time, only now did he find out that the region was not suitable for prolonged stay, hence the reason there were no Clans there. It took the group a few days, but they soon got to the region. Only after getting there did Grey understand why it wasn't suitable for prolonged stay. There was a faint hint of death essence in the air. Staying in a place filled with death essence like this isn't dangerous for a short period of time. The real issue is after staying for a prolonged time. The time needed before the effect of the death essence appears depends on the level of the expert. Someone in Sir Astarot's cultivation stage can stay here for a few months without any problems, but staying for more than a few weeks for people in Grey's cultivation will put them in danger. Those with even weaker cultivation levels can only stay for some days, with the weakest Elementalists holding on for only a few hours. The elites from the Dragon Clan were only twelve in number, and of the twelve, four were at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane. In the Pyro World, Grey saw top geniuses in the Ninth stage of the Sovereign Plane, but he didn't encounter any Peak Sovereigns. However, the Dragon Clan was different, as they had multiple Peak Sovereigns among their younger generation. Thinking deeply about it, the Dragon Clan having a Peak Sovereign isn't out of place. One has to know that the age of these Dragons is higher than that of humans. Some of these Dragons that are regarded as kids are over a hundred years old. Magical Beasts have longer lifespans when compared to humans, so it's normal for a hundred year old Dragon to be regarded as a kid while a hundred years old Elementalist is in most instances not. The Dragon Clan was the last group to arrive at the place. The other Magical Beasts Clans were already present there. Not all the Magical Beast Clans that attended the gathering were present here. This secret world is owned by a few Clans, and these Clans were the only ones present here. The other Magical Beast Clans had their secret worlds, so they wouldn't lose out. The reason this one is regarded as one of the top ones is due to the Dragons placing such importance in it. This secret world isn't the only one regarded this highly in the Inner Court. Any secret world that drew the attention of Dragons, Phoenixes, Griffins, and other rare and ancient Magical Beasts with top bloodlines. Take this secret world for instance, it was first discovered by another Magical Beast Clan, but one day, a Dragon who was traveling past was attracted to it and investigated it. After finding out what it contained, the Dragons took majority claim over it, and even the Clan that originally discovered it needed their permission if they wanted to use it as a tool to train their younger generation. Six more Magical Beast Clans were present at the mountain peak where they were gathered. The ones that caught Grey's attention was none other than the Ox Clan that would be sending their geniuses into this place too. Since seeing the Ox Clan during the gathering, especially after Void spoke about it, for some reason, he, too, is curious about how these Oxes taste. The perfect opportunity had presented itself, and that can only happen inside this secret realm. As long as he was discreet, he was certain that he could at least get some flesh from it. Sir Astarot didn't converse with the Clan Leaders waiting here. It only nodded as a sign of greeting before a powerful energy erupted from its body. The energy turned into snake-like tendrils that shot towards a particular spot on the mountain peak. A few seconds later, an invisible energy spread out, before a light flashed. With the flash of light, a portal came into view. This portal is around ten meters in radius. "You only have one year to stay there, make sure to take advantage of this opportunity…" Sir Astarot gave a short speech to the group gathered. The Magical Beasts present were all aware of the one year time frame. Even Grey had been informed about this, but since they were about to head in officially, Sir Astarot didn't see any problem with reminding them again. After all, it was better to be cautious. Grey listened to Sir Astarot's short speech. Hearing how he placed importance in reminding them to place their safety first, he couldn't help but wonder what dangers lay inside this secret world. He had been to a lot of secret worlds, and none of them was safe. The first secret world he entered was the Trial land back at the Azure Continent. He almost lost his life multiple times, and thinking about it now, that was also the first place he saw a real Dragon. He first saw something like a Pseudo-Dragon, before being chased by a Dragon that Void provoked. All the secret realms have untold dangers, that's for sure, but in those dangers lay shocking treasures. In the Trial Land, he acquired the Great Earth Essence Liquid. This was the first treasure that made his elemental grade see an increase. Not just his, but that of his friends as well. This treasure brought about disaster as the entire Continent later worked together in wanting to apprehend him and his friends. In the end, his Teacher, Chris appeared in the final moments and not only rescued them, but also easily dealt with the dangers they faced at the time. It has been a few years, and Grey has grown far stronger than a Sage Plane expert. At the time, Grey was only an Overlord Plane Elementalist and didn't have the ability to control a battle of such a level. With his current abilities though, a wave of his hand is enough to deal with the difficulties of that year. This alone showed just how far he had grown. Grey stopped reminiscing as the others had already started to step into the portal. According to what he knew, each person would be teleported to a different location, so there was no need for them to enter together as it wouldn't matter. If they encountered each other inside the secret realm and wanted to work together, then it was their luck. The secret world is quite large, so there are still a few that wouldn't even catch a glimpse of anyone they met here. Grey didn't have any plans of working with anyone, so even if he sees any of these Magical Beasts there, he would do his best to avoid them. Besides, he could sense that these Magical Beasts didn't have a favorable impression of him, even the Dragons didn't like him and believed that the only reason he could enter was due to using the relationship between his father and Sir Astarot. These Magical Beasts didn't see what Sir Astarot saw in Grey, but they were certain that he would die inside this place. Even some of these Peak Sovereigns would come back alive, much less Grey who had one of the weakest cultivation stages. This wasn't a problem for Grey as he has never had a problem with keeping himself safe in places like these. He didn't rush, and after watching everyone enter, he took a step forward. Sir Astarot took a glance at him and said just before Grey's shadow disappeared, "Try not to disappoint me, kid." Grey's eyes flashed with a bright light, and when he regained his vision, he was falling from the sky. He hurriedly tried to balance his figure mid-air, but he quickly noticed something odd. 'I can't fly?' This came as a surprise to him as he noticed that he couldn't fly. He was currently falling to the ground at a terrifying speed, and given the distance he had fallen since regaining his vision and the distance he calculated before he got to the ground, he still needed a few more kilometers. Falling to the ground under such an impact is enough to seriously injure any Elementalist, even Sovereigns. Luckily, even though he couldn't fly inside this place for some reason, it didn't mean he can't mobilize the essence in his body. Realizing this, he reacted accordingly. His figure blinked, and Grey, who was a few kilometers away from that ground, suddenly appeared a few meters above the ground, landing heavily on the ground. The place he landed caved in, a sign of the impact of his forceful landing. Here's the chap guys! Don't forget to vote!
