This was supposed to be a boring day filled with me killing time, and dying inside because I couldn't normally hunt. Of course, I did swing by the giants, to get some crystals, but it wasn't the same as exploring the reminiscent of the former empire of Yashasvee'mies.

It lacked the wonders of the alien civilizations. The exploration of what was left behind them. But most importantly, it lacked the ghosts. Enemies that could put me on the edge between life and death, and engage in a fight where one mistake could mean the end.

The first indication of the fact a lot has changed was information brought to me by Hatta himself. He found me on the roof of one of the buildings in the vicinity of the training grounds, where I could have my eye on Tihana.

- You turned into a stalker now? - he asked, as he climbed all the way up.

I was taken by surprise.

- I'm just having an eye on my kid. What's wrong with that?

- The fact that she is not your kid? Anyways... That's no way I came here.

- I'm all ears.

- I came to congratulate you on becoming a millionaire. Your crystals got bought by the Indian government. Ten million nine hundred eighty thousand Kuwaiti Dinars. That's thirty-something million dollars. Or shit ton more Indian rupees.

- Nice - I smiled at him.

My reaction was kinda fake, cause I didn't really understand what it meant to have that much money. My family wasn't rich by any standard. I would say that we were on the poor side of the spectrum. So such fortune was a concept as alien to me, as this world was for the people of earth.

- There is also one more thing, but I'm unsure if it's good information, or a bad one - his happy expression changed to a more serious one.

- Hit me.

- There is a visitor from Poland in my office right now. He would like to talk with you.

- Did he say what's this about?

- No. That's why I don't know if it's bad or good - he explained.

- Ok... Let's go then.

- You want me to be there?

- I have nothing to hide from you about my contacts with people from the earth. Maybe except for some juicy details of my time spent with Samantha.

- Ok, stop. I don't want to hear that - he rose his hand.

I couldn't help but smile, although I was a bit concerned about the guy in Hatta's office.

- Let me help you get down - I said, as I picked myself up from the roof, putting the notebook back to my vault.

I came closer to him and touched his shoulder to shadow walk us back to the city center. From there we went straight to Wusia's headquarters, where he was waiting for us. Sitting comfortably in the armchair in front of Hatta's desk.

He stood up immediately, after hearing us enter, and turned around, buttoning up his jacket.

He was an older fellow with dark grey hair shaved very short around his head, with a cluster of longer, but still overall short, hair on top. He was more or less my height, with a pretty impressive belly. Clearly, he was working behind the desk.

- Mister Karol - said Hatta. - This is Peter. Peter this is agent Karol Sie...

- SiemiÄ…tkowski - he came to help, with a smile on his face.

- Yes... Exactly that - said Hatta, a bit embarrassed that he couldn't pronounce the surname.

- Good morning - I said and went to shake the agent's hand.

He replied in the same manner.

- So, what brings you here? - I asked immediately.

- I'm from AW - he said, switching to Polish. - I came with an offer. Your government would like to form a relationship with this place, through you. Although we can't get our troops here, like the US did, because India just refuses, we would like your help with getting our scientists on the UN joint scientific mission to study and investigate this place.

I looked at Hatta, who was just standing, pretending to not be bored because he couldn't understand almost anything.

- Do you know anything about some scientific mission? - I asked him in English.

- No.

- It's something that was discussed just a few days ago, that's probably why. I came because It's Poland's only chance to have people here - explained Karol, in English.

- I can tell you right now, that if it's about examining the sapling, you can forget it will ever happen. We won't allow that. - I also switched to English.

The agent was a bit surprised but didn't say a thing, instead just looked at Hatta.

- We can allow the exploration and investigation of the world, mission to Uhm's settlement, but the sapling is out of the question - said Hatta.

- Well, it's not my job to persuade you to allow that. I'm here to establish contact with Peter. I came with an offer of bringing your mother here.

- Ok, sure - I said and looked at Hatta.

He nodded.

- I'm sure everybody here will be thrilled to meet with your mother - he said.

- Good. Great - sadi Karol, and extended a hand.

We both shook it.

- I need to make a phone call now. I'll keep you both updated - he said and left.

We waited for a moment, and then I went to sit on the chair the agent occupied not too long ago.

- Scientific mission, huh? - asked Hatta.

- I don't know what to think about this, but we can't let them put their hand on the device.

- I agree to that - he said. - I wonder when Indian officials will come to talk about this with me.

- Probably soon.

He came closer to pat me on the shoulder.

- We shouldn't focus on potentially bad news to much when we gave confirmed good ones. Your mom will visit. You can show her this beautiful place - he smiled at me.

- Yeah - I returned the smile.

- This makes me wonder how much longer will I have to wait for Singapur to make a contact with me...

- Maybe you should make contact with them?

He wiped his mouth with an open hand and nodded, deep in his own thoughts.

- Maybe you are right. Maybe I should.

At that moment a familiar voice appeared in my head.

- Hey, Peter! Good news. The divorce is done, and I'm returning to Ark. Elaine and I got joint custody over Dustin. We still didn't talk the details, but we will soon.

- Great news! - I almost jumped out of the armchair, surprising Hatta. - Will is coming back. He got joint custody.

Hatta nodded.

- So yeah. That's it. Now, I have to go - said Will, and that was the end of the conversation.

- Three great news today. Nice. Now if you excuse me, I need to go and talk with somebody... - said Hatta nad left.

I just shadow walked out of his office, and returned to my spot on the roof, thinking about my mom.

The day came to an end with 24 401 029 points remaining on my account, and 21 class points.
