They had a medical stretcher on the ground. Both read. The spearman was being guided to one by some guy, while he was pressing a piece of cloth to his face. Meanwhile, a few others struggled to the armor of the tank, who was already lying on his, with helmet taken off.

I shadow walked to the first guy, surprising the medical team, and the mage, who observed everything carefully. I touched his arm and dumped a heal into him.

- Hey! You can't be here - said somebody, but I ignored that.

Instead, I moved to the unconscious guy, pushing my way through the medics, touched him dropping another heal, and shadow walked out.

- Hey! - yelled the mage after me.

In the same moment, the tank took a deep breath of air and partially rose from the stretcher..

- Thank you! - shouted the spearman, as he just found out his wound was gone.

I went down the stairs, passing by the surprised broadcasting team members, who this time, just went out of my way. I headed straight to my room, where I found Vikram stuffing his face with some little sandwiches he took from the fridge.

- Hof if it go? - he asked with a full mouth.

- Good. They both will be fine.

On the TV there was still a debate about the past fight. The news about the team eight's members still didn't hit them.

Vikram gave me thumbs up. I kinda ignored it, and sat on the couch, then stole one sandwich, just as the host finally informed me that both Mr tank and Mr spearmen were safe and in a good condition.

The talks continued for a bit longer, to give teams nine and ten time to prepare for their turn. We finally got taken back to the arena, as the announcer spoke, introducing a bunch of randoms and a couple of familiar names: Ekenedilichukwu, Buhle, Lacey. They were from the American gate.

All of them entered the arena waving to the cheering audience. Ekenedilichukwu was a tall guy with short dreadlocks, freely hanging all around his head. He was wearing a heavy piece of armor, with a shield on his back, and a short spear in hand.

Buhle came out empty-handed. He was also a black man with a bald head, and dark bears filled with shiny and colorful beads. He had some leather armor on, and two short blades by his belt. Following him was Lacey. Black woman with short hair, and a beautiful smile. On her hand was a small buckler, and by the belt, she stuck a hatchet.

The fight was quick. Team nine charged at them, but after few steps one of their members drastically slowed down, grabbing his head.

Meanwhile, Buhle started chanting, and Ekenedilichukwu moving forward. He didn't even bother taking the shield of his back, he just ran, faster and faster as his friend's spell started working. He rammed into one of the guys who tried to swing a sword at him and send him rolling few meters on the ground like a ragdoll.

The other guy had an ax and tried also to attack, but Lacey moved her hand. The sand flew into the air, and hit his eyes, making him stumble, which was enough for the tank, to knock him with a clean hit of the spear handle. That was the end of the fight.

Arbiter stopped the fight. Probably scared something that happened with Gavriil might repeat itself.

- What do you think? - asked Vikram.

I took my eyes off the TV scream, where the viewers could witness the celebration of the winning team, and looked at him.

- Not terrible, but they won't go far if that's all they can do.

- I bet they can do more, just didn't want to show all their cards.

I nodded in agreement.

- Everybody does that. I did that too. That freaking vampire, the Chinese team... The real fights will start mostly in the second round.

- There might be one interesting one on the last day - he pointed out.

- We will see... I moved my eyes back to the screen as the sixth fight of the day started.

Marcella, Michael, and Juan were fighting. Against two mages, and one fighter. The tactic of the enemy team was simple, they wanted to take them down from the distance, but their firebolts got blocked by Marcella's barrier.

Then Juan charged with incredible speed, knocking down their tank with one hit, and as he appeared before the two casters, they just gave up.

- I wonder why people like them even wanted to come here - said Vikram. - It would be way more interesting if they didn't.

- So they could tell that they participated? Or maybe hoping they will get lucky? I don't know. There are some people from Arc like that too.

- I know, I know. It just seems pointless.

I shrugged my shoulders.

We kept watching the show. The next fight was also boring since Alban's team just slapped the shit out of their competition. The next fight was a bit better since it was some weaklings against other weaklings, so there was actually some stuff going on on the screen. Some guys from Arc that I saw few times, were fighting some tam from China.

They were winning at first, but more or less halfway into the duel, one of our guys left an opening and got taken down. From that point, it was three versus two, and they just had no chances.

After that, a team seventeen, from Brazil, showed an amazing synergy, and just smashed their opponents. If not for the show they made, the fight would be boring.

The next fight was Will, Boris, and Nobuo against another randoms. The samurai alone just beat their asses in literally two seconds.

The last fight though was a bit more entertaining. Some Brazilian team took on guys from the Hungarian gate and got smashed. It was still fun to watch though.

That's how the long day ended, and we finally could drive back. There was a lot of talking even after our return, since people wanted to share their thoughts about the fight, so the whole hotel gathered in the restaurant, and we had a fun time.
