Chapter 1918 - 1918: Don't Mess With My Commander (2)

Tang Shaoyang did not plan to stay on this floor any longer and used everything to end the fight as soon as possible. Right after the Bloodline Transformation, he used Heavenly Steps and appeared right before the Orc vanguard. The distance between him and the orc was less than a meter in merely a second.

His sword that was still in his sheath was glowing in gold as the Heavenly Energy gathered in his sword. He pulled his sword out and bright golden blinding light shone through as he swung the sword horizontally.

Heavenly Swords – Heaven Severing World

The Orcs in the hundred meters in front of him were cut into two. Their bodies split as the upper half fell slowly. Then he raised his sword up as his eyes locked on the Giant.

Heavenly Swords – Shimmer of Heaven

The clouds in the sky opened, revealing the golden swords in the sky. The sword made of Heavenly Energy filled the sky. He swung down and the swords in the sky followed, shooting down toward the giants. A bigger sword for a big opponent.

The sword cut through the unprepared giant. There was a little resistance, but the sword cut through their skin and flesh. Some of the Giants were split by the sword but still alive, some died in one strike, but many survived but suffered heavy wounds.

The march halted as the Giant and the Orcs’ attention was on Tang Shaoyang. There was a hesitation from the remaining of the Giants and Orcs, but they ended up surrounding Tang Shaoyang. Or it was more like Tang Shaoyang let them surround him.

“I guess your commander is a coward for sending you all to me after what I just did,” Tang Shaoyang’s grew colder, “But I don’t have much time for weaklings!”

In the blink of an eye, hundreds of dark-red swords appeared around Tang Shaoyang. The swords floated horizontally and started moving slowly. The movement was getting faster and faster, forming a tornado of sword, and it expanded in range, reaching the closer Orcs.

The Orcs tried to block it with their axe or even shields, but their equipment broke into pieces before their bodies were shredded, and killed right away. The Giants were not spared either as they got their legs shredded by the swords, not even bones left.

The Giants were still alive even though they lost their legs, but it was just a start. After the Giants lost their lower half, then their upper fell into the grinder, shredding their upper bodies. Something peculiar happened, their flesh and bones were shredded, but their hearts were intact.

Tang Shaoyang’s control over Chaos Blades had reached a perfection not to damage the hearts. He walked around, collecting the hearts as the blade of the tornado followed him. Only after thousands of Orcs and hundreds of Giants died did the others realize they could not beat Tang Shaoyang. Instead of pushing into him, they turned around and ran, scattered as they made a hasty retreat.

They had done everything they could, but no one could stop the blades from tearing them apart. Throwing their bodies into the blades was the same as a suicide. It did not slow the blades let alone stop them.

Tang Shaoyang gathered the last herd inside his own tornado blades. The enemies learned their lesson and ran away from him. As he put the last heart into his inventory, a massive shadow loomed over him.

He looked up and saw a massive body above him, swinging down a massive sword that matched the giant’s size. The swords tore apart the blade tornado.

Boom!

A twenty-meter-tall Giant slammed the massive sword and dust rose from the impact, covering Tang Shaoyang. The Giant felt something from his sword, reflected by the frown on his face. The Giant blew the dust with his mouth and revealed what was inside the cloud of dust.

Tang Shaoyang was still standing on his feet, blocking the massive sword with his own sword. The giant shattered the blade tornado, but that was not enough to take him down as he neutralized the strike without breaking a sweat.

“Bigger doesn’t mean stronger,” Tang Shaoyang smiled at the Giant.

He pushed the massive sword with ease, pushing the giant a few steps back. Each step caused a big vibration on the ground.

The God Rank Giant was surprised at how his opponent easily overpowered him. He regained his footing, and then he lost sight of his enemy. He looked around to find where his enemy was until he heard someone yelling at him, telling him to look up. His eyes widened in surprise as his enemy was above him, and there was a weird energy surrounding the man.

“As I said, I don’t have much time for a weakling. Let’s end it right here!”

Tang Shaoyang used the Ninth Heavenly Gate, Heavenly Beast – Heavenly Azure Dragon. An azure dragon formed around him as a roar resounded in the sky. The Azure Dragon coiled around him for a moment before shooting up to the sky.

At the same time, he used his sword’s innate skill, Azure Dragon Descent with his Heavenly Energy. His sword glowed in azure-gold energy, the signature Azure Dragon’s heavenly energy. He raised his sword above his head with his two hands, his crimson eyes locked on the giant.

The sky split open as a golden gate appeared. There was an image of an Azure Dragon perched above the gate. Then the gate slowly opened, and Tang Shaoyang swung the sword down. The Azure Dragon above the gate descended, but at the same time, a second Azure Dragon came out from the gate.

Roar!

The two identical dragons let out a deafening roar that stunned everyone who heard. Then the two identical dragons twirled at each other and shot to the God Rank Giant’s heat.

Pop!

The giant’s head disappeared as blue blood spurted out from the massive body, creating a rain of blood. The two Azure Dragons kept going and reached the Giant and Orcs’ backline, creating a massive explosion that engulfed thousands of Orcs and hundreds of Giants.

The twenty-meter-tall Giant’s headless body wobbled around and fell to the side. The ground shook fiercely from the impact as blood kept pouring out from the body, creating a river of blood.

Tang Shaoyang himself was surprised by what he witnessed, not how he easily cut down the Giant, not that part. He was surprised by creating two dragons instead of one. He used the same technique against the Emperor, The Corrupted Immortal Emperor, the former Executive Administrator back then.

He only created one dragon with Azure Dragon Descent, and he also used the ninth Heavenly Gate, Heavenly Azure Dragon back then. But he only created a single dragon that managed to cut The Emperor’s hand. This time he created two Azure Dragons, and he could not figure out what made this different.

Tang Shaoyang tried to recall what changed in him since his last meeting with the Emperor, “I haven’t gotten to my new class yet… My level is the only change…”

The fight with Thomas Lysvand and the Ten Kings gave him a lot of levels. The Void Creatures also gave him a lot of levels. That was only the thing that changed with him. He had not figured it out for his reward class as he had not found what kind of new classes he wanted. There was no new class, certainly no new talent, let alone a bloodline.

[Using Bloodline Transformation and Heavenly Gate Technique against them is overkill.] Karan the Battle God interrupted his musing.

Tang Shaoyang snapped out and looked at the twenty-meter-tall Giant, then he looked at the enemy’s backline. He created a massive pit, killing more than half of the invasion army. He did it in less than five minutes.

The remaining invasion army turned around and started to flee. The God Rank from the Orc Tribes did not come at him, even the remaining God Rank Giants turned around after one of them died.

Tang Shaoyang landed next to the headless body and stored it in his inventory. Then he summoned his Spirits, not the big ones because he did not want the people from the town to know about his spirits even though this might be the only interaction he had with them.

He sent his spirits to hunt the hearts, which might be a big help for the future generation, a potion that increased stats. Of course, the future generation meant his children.

Tang Shaoyang canceled his Bloodline Transformation and returned to his temporary army. He did not expect to overpower the enemy by this much. He certainly did not expect the Giant and the Orcs to give up the invasion. The criminals did not really get screen time, but to his surprise, he lost more than a hundred criminals.

“How!?”

He was genuinely flabbergasted. They did not even get to fight, so how did they die? He killed the Giant before it reached them, it just didn’t make sense until he saw the corpses. Arrows from behind, that was how they died. He found an arrow on the back of a criminal’s head, and he did not know why but this made him mad.

Tornak, Marton, and Zalan did not expect the temporary commander would be angry over the dead criminal. They did not think Tang Shaoyang would care about the criminals, but they were surprised when they sensed the aura from their commander. The three realized that their commander was angry.

“WHY!?”

Their hearts skipped a beat when they heard the shout from their commander. They could feel the anger through the voice as if the voice was infused by the aura.
