"So what is all that?"
In the biggest scientific laboratory in the entire province, a middle-aged man wearing a suit asked while staring at the large screen filled with black dots which seemed to be moving.
"You see sir, all these are the cells which we extracted from the dog which was killed yesterday by the City High School."
"Huh, you dissected a dog which was already dead for so long?"
The Director asked with a disgusted look.
It was fine if the dog had died just a day or two ago, but by looking at the file in his hand, the Director was sure that the body was close to getting decomposed and looked as if it was already more than a few weeks old.
"No no, sir, you are thinking it wrongly."
The scientist shook his head and turned to the assistant beside him.
"The dead dog had died just yesterday in the early morning and we had confirmed it."
The scientist said while showing him a few graphs and charts, but it was obvious that the director was not going to understand anything from it.
"Huh?"
But he was sure that he had heard the scientist say that the dog had died just about a day ago.
But why would it look like it had started to decompose?
Seeing the director confused the scientist nodded and then continued.
"Although the authorities first thought that it was just a dead dog they wanted to dispose of it, but later on they found out that it looked decomposed."
"One of my students also stays in the same area as where the incident happened and he seemed to have taken a look at it and he instantly called me after seeing this abnormal incident."
The scientist was a biology-crazed fellow and had more than 40 research papers under his name.
"You see, after I heard about it, I also found it weird and sent a few others to take a few samples of the body and come to the lab for more examinations."
"But somehow the body was nearly more than 100 kilos in weight."
"What?"
The director was puzzled.
One could clearly see that the dog was just a street dog and could not have weighed more than 30 kilos even if it was fit and got food somehow daily.
And even if it had got increased, the weight should not have increased more than one or two kilos, much less it had increased to a shocking more than 3 times that of its real weight.
"Haha, indeed, hearing this, I also had the same reaction, I quickly asked them to bring the body as soon as possible to the lab."
"After spending more than 10 hours we have finally found something that could create a world shocking change."
The scientist laughed and then pointed at the screen.
"Those cells should have belonged to that dead dog, but it appears as if they had got some kind of mutation in them, not only are they not dead, but in fact seem as if they have got their own life."
The scientist said with a grin.
He knew what he had discovered.
Although he was not clear what was the origin of this.
But he was sure of one thing.
This thing could change the way people thought of it because of its ability to sense something special.
'I don't know what those cells are searching for, but it should be very important.'
Indeed while spending more than 10 hours while extracting the cells out of the dead body, the scientist had gone through hell.
Only he knew how tough it was for him o even extract a few drops of cells much less a beaker full of them.
Every type of equipment he used in while doing so had been turned useless and he had to change the storing container every few hours or the cells would break it into dust.
'Just what kind of energy would those microscopic things would have in them?'
The scientist was excited to do more experiments, but he didn't specify what he had been doing all this long in the journal.
'I can't let anyone know of this, they will try to take it from me, I will hide this from them and continue my research.'
'With this kind of power, it won't be long until I can create a superhuman who is as powerful as that person.'
The scientist thought in his mind as he recalled the person whom he had seen a few days ago while he was passing through the suburbs of the city.
'It's like, God wanted to help me create something as powerful as that guy and thus brought this to me.'
He had seen the strength of the person from that day.
the guy could easily fend off an explosion which had easily collapsed a factory which weighed more than a few thousand tonnes.
He was awed with the strength of the person and didn't know if he was seeing it right or just imagining things.
But when he saw the news about the explosion at the factory, he knew that there were many things which were hidden from the citizens.
Although he was sure that no one knew of the person who had helped the few children in the locked factory, the scientist was sure that the guy was someone who could only be called a superhuman.
Someone who could easily destroy anything if he wanted and easily defend against.
Seeing the scientist staring at the screen as if in deep thought, the director also glanced at it for a while.
"Why does it look as if it's searching for something?"
He had been wondering as to why the black dots moved in just one direction and then seemed to be extending themselves in order to find something in a specific direction, but now that he look it carefully he felt that his doubt was real.
