Life aboard the starship was relatively peaceful. Although it wasn’t quite the endless sea of stars that Qiao Sang had imagined, at least they hadn’t encountered any black holes or interstellar beasts freely roaming the universe like in the movies.

Each day, Yabao alternated between training his telekinesis and meditating.

Little Treasure practiced both telekinesis and his misfortune curse, using the ants brought from Blue Star as test subjects.

As for Lubao, she focused on training her Healing Light and Healing Soundwave.

And her training target? Qiao Sang.

With continuous 24-hour studying, she had gone from needing a Healing Light every 12 hours to every 6 hours, then every 3 hours. By the end, only a combination of Healing Light and Healing Soundwave could keep her going.

Staring out at the abyss-like void of space every day, combined with non-stop studying, Qiao Sang felt her brain swelling with pressure, occasionally accompanied by headaches.

Fortunately, Lubao stayed by her side at all times. Whenever she felt discomfort, she would immediately cast a Healing Light without her needing to say a word.

Sensing her beastmaster’s exhaustion, Lubao eventually stopped sleeping at night, using Healing Light on herself so that she could stay alert and heal Qiao Sang at any moment.

Moved by this, Qiao Sang smothered Lubao in hugs and kisses.

Though Lubao pretended to be annoyed, the swaying of her tail betrayed her joy.

Outside the ship, darkness stretched endlessly. Without a clock, it was impossible to tell how much time had passed.

Qiao Sang sat at her desk, constantly reading and solving problems.

"Dr. Zhou Tai once proposed that when a contracted beast reaches the General level, the feedback received by its beastmaster undergoes a qualitative change. As long as the bond between the beast and the beastmaster is strong and stable, the beastmaster’s lifespan can reach an average of 200 years."

"However, this theory was soon challenged by researcher Xue Dongshi. Through investigations and studies, she discovered that beastmasters with only one General-level contracted beast did not, in fact, live for 200 years."

"She argued that a beastmaster’s lifespan is influenced not only by their beast’s rank but also by the level of their brain domain development."

"Thanks to Xue Dongshi’s research, the later classification of beastmasters from Rank F to Rank SSS was established based on both brain domain development and beast level."

"Do you think this theory is correct? Why or why not?"

Qiao Sang pondered for a moment before putting pen to paper.

"It is incorrect. The ranking system for beastmasters was established by the Beastmaster Alliance after rigorous statistical analysis across history, not solely based on Xue Dongshi’s research…"

As she worked on her answer, Yang Jiayi quietly slipped out of their cabin.

In the Dining Area.

"Qiao Sang is still studying?!" Tang Yi exclaimed in disbelief.

Yang Jiayi nodded and sighed, "It’s terrifying. I’ve never seen anyone so obsessed with studying."

"Studying non-stop for 32 days? Do you still call that a person?!" Tang Yi blurted out.

Yang Jiayi glanced at him and said solemnly, "You make a good point. That’s beyond human…"

Tang Yi mused, "Why is she working so hard? She already won the national Campus Beast Mastering League. She could get into any top-tier academy through special admissions. As long as she scores above 350 on the college entrance exam, she can enter any elite school she wants."

Yang Jiayi shook her head.

"I don’t know."

For them, as special admissions students, their high school journey had always been focused on excelling in competitions.

They barely touched their textbooks. Their semester books often remained pristine. It was impossible for them to understand why someone at the pinnacle of special admissions, like Qiao Sang, would still study so relentlessly.

Changing the subject, Tang Yi asked, "I heard that Sainan High School is one of the best on Chaosu, with strict hierarchy and a resource-based points system, similar to the Imperial Capital’s Zhishang Beastmaster Academy. Do you think we’ll be able to obtain the Veil Essence?"

It was well known that the brain domain could not be forcibly developed. But certain rare and invaluable resources possessed unimaginable effects.

Veil Essence was one such resource. It allowed beastmasters to enhance their brain domain without any side effects. However, it could only be used once in a lifetime, and its effects were most potent before the age of eighteen.

How much it could enhance depended on the individual’s brain domain capacity.

One of the qualifications for top-tier academy admissions was passing the Rank D Beastmaster certification.

Yet, nearly no high school seniors in the national Campus Beast Mastering League ever met that requirement. However, after the tournament and just before special admissions, a group of students would always miraculously pass.

Apart from spending their time meditating post-tournament, another major reason was that some of them had acquired Veil Essence.

Such resources were tightly controlled by the state. They were not mentioned in textbooks, could not be found online, and were entirely unknown to ordinary beast masters.

The reason why a batch of Veil Essence was distributed before major academy entrance exams each year was due to government sanctioning.

This wasn’t a secret among powerful families in different regions.

Yang Jiayi reassured him, "I don’t know about others, but as long as the interstellar exchange students report to school, they’re guaranteed to receive Veil Essence. You don’t have to worry about that."

Hearing this, Tang Yi sighed in relief.

Since Yang Jiayi had strong family connections, her relative was Minister Wang of Chongdao Region, her information was likely accurate.

Meanwhile, In the Cabin.

Qiao Sang had just finished one problem and was about to move on when...

"Sasa!"

Suddenly, the sound of Sagan's Meow’s voice interrupted her.

Qiao Sang turned her head to see Sagan Meow standing beside the meditating Yabao, its leaf on end, clearly picking a fight.

Here we go again… Qiao Sang thought, already exhausted.

Sagan Meow was Yang Jiayi’s pet. For some reason, it and Yabao were always at odds. If she hadn’t told Yabao that fighting was prohibited on the starship, they would’ve brawled long ago.

"Lu~ Lu lu~ Lululu~ Lu~ Lulu~"

Yabao had just started to open his eyes when Lubao swiftly unleashed a Healing Soundwave.

A gentle, invisible wave spread through the cabin.

"Sasa…"

Sagan Meow’s leaf instantly drooped.

Yabao blinked and then closed his eyes again.

Qiao Sang shot Lubao a thumbs-up, signaling Good job.

"Lu." Lubao’s lips curled into a small smile.

Just then, the ship’s intercom crackled to life:

"Attention, passengers. In ten minutes, we will arrive at our destination, Chaosu Star, District 13, Hetto Starport. For your safety, please remain in your cabins until docking is complete."

Qiao Sang: !!!

We’re here?!

Her spirits soared. She quickly got up and rushed to the transparent cabin window.

Gazing out, she saw the vast darkness of space split apart...

A massive blue-violet planet loomed before her eyes.
