After completing the dormitory registration procedures, the three of them walked out of the office.
The earlier statement about personally leading them to the dormitories was a lie, Jiang Tongyuan did not follow them out. Instead, he let the recently returned Gentleman Bear lead the way.
Qiao Sang was not surprised.
Back in the office, she had noticed a nameplate on the desk with Jiang Tongyuan’s foreign name, Kadra, and below it, the title Administrative Director in bold letters.
Receiving students wasn’t really part of Jiang Tongyuan’s job. However, this time was special, interstellar exchange students had arrived.
Besides handling their records, he had to personally hand over the Veil Essence to them, which was why he was the one welcoming them.
As soon as they stepped out of the office, Tang Yi could no longer hide his admiration for Qiao Sang.
A monster is a monster indeed.Even when hearing about the Veil Essence for the first time and holding such a miraculous resource in her hands, she remained completely calm.
But then again, it made sense, this was someone who won the National Campus Beast Mastering Championship at just a first-year level and went an entire month without sleep. It was impossible to judge her with common sense.
If only I could spar with someone like her regularly, my progress would skyrocket! Tang Yi thought eagerly.
Too bad she’s in the first year. We won’t even be in the same building, let alone have the chance to battle…
Then, an idea struck him, and his eyes lit up.
“Let’s create a group chat! That way, we can stay in touch.”
The first step to securing future battles was frequent communication and building a good relationship!
“Sure.” Qiao Sang responded, pulling out her phone without much thought.
As she was adding the group, Yang Jiayi suggested, “Tomorrow’s the first day of school. Should we go out and have some fun tonight?”
Tang Yi immediately nodded.
“I’m in! I did some research before coming here, there’s a famous pet beast arena in 3rd District. It hosts matches almost every night, and you never know which ranked professional beast tamers might show up. Want to check it out?”
Yang Jiayi countered, “I actually did some research too. There's a Coordination Tournament happening in 3rd District tonight. Some of the top-ranked coordinators will be performing, and even the judges are big names in the field. How about we go watch that instead?”
Tang Yi turned to Qiao Sang.
“What about you? Where do you want to go?”
He figured Qiao Sang would have no interest in a Coordination Tournament and would side with him.
Qiao Sang paused for two seconds before saying, “I’ll pass. I need to study.”
Tang Yi: ???
Yang Jiayi: ???

"Gentle.”
After escorting Qiao Sang to her dorm, Gentleman Bear politely closed the door and left.
Qiao Sang took a brief look around her room and was genuinely impressed.
No wonder this school ranked so high among elite academies.
Though they called it a single dormitory, it was essentially a luxuriously furnished duplex apartment with a modern aesthetic.
It had a bedroom, living room, study, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony, everything one could possibly need.
The ceiling was over five meters high, likely to accommodate large pet beasts, ensuring that even high-level creatures could move freely in the living area.
“Yap yap!”
Yabao happily ran around the living room, clearly satisfied with his new environment.
Qiao Sang summoned Lubao, then retrieved her luggage from Little Treasure's space ring and spent half an hour unpacking.
After that, she headed straight to the study to read.
She read until 10 PM.
Recalling what the Administrative Director had said about getting enough rest before taking the Veil Essence, she quickly closed her book, washed up, turned off the lights, and went to bed.
It wasn’t that she was in a hurry to form a contract with her fourth pet beast.
But if the essence could enhance brain function, it would improve her memory.
With that, her studies would progress even faster.
Everything for the sake of learning.
With that thought, Qiao Sang fell asleep.

The Next Morning.
At Sainan High School.
Class 6, Senior Year, the Elite Class.
About a dozen students, dressed in custom-made uniforms with sapphires embedded in their cuffs, sat in their seats, casually chatting.
“I heard we got three exchange students from Blue Star this semester.”
“Which country?”
“Seems to be Dragon.”
“Oh, great. More people who’ll be running around kissing their pet beasts' butts all day.”
A female student with black hair and dark eyes, delicate features, and an unmistakable Dragon nation heritage, raised an eyebrow.
Although people of all ethnicities coexisted on Chaosu Star, national identities still existed.
She asked coldly, “What, do you have a problem with Dragon Nation?”
The boy who had spoken first quickly explained, “No, no! I was just talking about Dragon Nation people from Blue Star.”
The girl countered, “It’s just a different beast training philosophy. Besides, the past exchange students from Dragon Nation were all pretty strong.”
Someone nearby muttered, “Of course they were. Only champions get sent here.”
The girl shot him a sharp look.
Sensing the tension, another student swiftly changed the subject.
“So, which class did the exchange students get assigned to?”
“If not Class 1, then probably our Class 6. Interstellar exchange students always get placed in the top-ranked classes.”
At Sainan High School, both Class 1 and Class 6 were Elite Classes.
“I wouldn’t mind having an exchange student in our class. I heard Dragon Nation people from Blue Star have the most advanced Beast Bond Evolution techniques.”
“I’d rather not. Back in my first year, we had a senior exchange student from Dragon Nation, and he was so annoying! I was training my Flame Sprite, and he came over, acting all impressed, saying that I had amazing control over a fire-type beast. He went on about how, in his country, if you trained a fire-type beast like that, the beast would either refuse to obey or even break the contract outright if it had a bad temper. My Flame Sprite had been fine before, but after hearing him say that, it suddenly developed an attitude problem, and I had to work extra hard just to get it back to normal!”
“HAHAHAHA!” The students around burst into laughter.
At that moment, their homeroom teacher, Mu Deli, walked in, accompanied by an unfamiliar male student.
“I have an announcement, this is our new exchange student.” Mu Deli said from the podium.
The boy stepped forward and introduced himself.
“Hello, everyone. My name is Tang Yi, from Dragon Nation on Blue Star. Please take care of me.”
The class responded with polite, half-hearted applause.
The homeroom teacher continued, “There’s actually one more exchange student in our class. They should be arriving shortly. Make sure to welcome them.”
Tang Yi was momentarily stunned, then felt a wave of relief.
It must be Yang Jiayi!
Even though they had disagreed about where to go last night, it was still comforting to have a familiar face in the same class.
But it’s already past 8 AM… why isn’t she here yet?
Since highly talented beast tamers took longer to absorb Veil Essence, could it be that Yang Jiayi had higher talent than him and was still absorbing it?
If that’s the case… Tang Yi suddenly felt a little bitter.
Was his 12-minute absorption time the shortest among the three of them?

Meanwhile…
Dormitory Area 1, Room 502.
Qiao Sang sat on her bed, looking at her phone.
She felt exhausted.
On the first day of school… she had overslept.
