Chapter 862: The Celestial realm II
The amethyst-eyed man, Ares, was surprised by Kyle’s reaction. He was sure he looked quite weak compared to everyone else around. So, why did this person jump as if he had seen a ghost?
He quickly raised his hands to wave the white flag, not wanting to ruin the image of a weakling he had so painstakingly created.
The image of a weak individual who was secretly the true powerhouse, helping the genuinely weak when no one expected it!
Then, they would be like, ’Wow, so he has been hiding his strength all this time!’ And become his faithful little followers who would be indebted to him for life.
Ares was daydreaming, and that’s why he failed to notice how Kyle slipped away and vanished. His eyes widened in shock. This was the first time he had failed to secure a promising newcomer! That little!
He cursed under his breath as he quickly ran off to find Kyle in the huge crowd.
No way was he letting that Celestial, who gave off such a powerful natural aura when his bone age was so young, slip away!
He was determined to recruit him into his clan, even if he had to break his image of a weakling who is secretly overpowered!
Amidst the moving crowd, Kyle watched him silently from a distance. His shirt had shifted under his power and transformed into a hoodie, covering his hair and face.
“I knew he wasn’t weak. Why did he only approach me? I need to stay cautious.”
He walked on the bridge, which everyone around called the Bridge of Divinity, while keeping watch on the amethyst-eyed short man who had approached him earlier.
Fortunately for him, another imposing figure suddenly arrived in the area, and the shorty vanished toward that figure.
Kyle sighed in relief and rushed forward.
The bridge he walked on was very big. His normal speed was nothing to scoff at, but it was as if the strength he thought was very powerful back in their universe had actually been demoted in this new realm.
Almost as if this place was far stronger. It made Kyle feel weaker compared to before, even though his strength was the same.
In his hurried movements, he missed the gaze of another pair of eyes, watching him intently. Cassian, the same imposing figure who had just arrived, drawing the attention of many people around him, tilted his head, narrowing his blood-red eyes, a stark contrast to his dark, tied-back hair.
The thin sword in his hand and his calm demeanor made him look older than his age, which was two hundred years.
’Who is he? He’s powerful. To think he has reached the Celestial rank at such a young age. Even I couldn’t do it… Should I recruit him before he joins the rulers? Let’s see. I will decide after seeing how capable he is.’
He turned his gaze toward Ares, who had arrived beside him looking so weak, and started chatting about random things.
’It’s my second time here, and Ares hasn’t changed a bit. But that’s what I like about him. It makes things easier because if he’s the same, the rulers will be the same too.’
Cassian walked beside Ares, deliberately ignoring the short man’s attempt to gauge his strength with his senses.
His eyes scanned the crowd on the bridge, searching for capable individuals. After all, in this place where strength was everything and mattered the most, he needed people he could use to advance further.
Distance away, Kyle felt a sudden tingling sensation on his nape. He rubbed it with a frown. However, he nearly bolted away from the place when he saw the same group of Orcs he encountered earlier eyeing him.
’What the actual hell…!’
Fortunately, he did not. Because he had reached the end of the bridge and chose to enter the massive, translucent curtain that concealed everything behind it, along with many others around him.
It was as if he had arrived in a completely different place. The first thing his senses caught was the countless people from different races moving before him.
The second was the massive, glowing dome, engraved with ancient symbols, that surrounded the space. Then there were the many massive Doors leading out of the dome, guarded by armored Giants.
Kyle’s eyes were calm, even though the dome-covered hall he had just arrived in was the largest he had ever seen. He was sure it could fit multiple big planets inside without any problem. He stepped forward, and the moment he crossed the threshold, an old voice echoed near his ear.
“Welcome, Celestial. Please proceed directly to the counters at the end of the Golden Hall of Light to register your name and greet the elderly Celestials. They will provide you with your identity card.”
Kyle let out an ’oh’. His eyes narrowed sharply at the voice as he looked around and located its source. It was coming from the white core-like artifact floating in the center of the hall. Sensing his gaze, the consciousness inside the crystal stirred and gazed back, but he had already looked away.
“Why do I have to jump through so many hoops just to get into the Celestial realm? I thought it would be a simple process.”
Kyle muttered, his frustration simmering as he navigated the throngs of people toward the distant lines. He could see the so-called counters he needed to reach, with rows of glowing old figures seated behind them.
“If only I could just barge in like Azazeal. That jerk probably waltzed right in without any of this hassle.”
His footsteps halted as he heard an elven man standing before a table calling out to him from the side. Unlike the new Celestials arriving in the hall, this man looked like he was originally from the Celestial realm.
He was calling people to join his clan.
Now that Kyle noticed, just like the elven man, many other individuals were seated all around the Hall on chairs with tables in front of them, calling for people to join their clans. Some of them, who wore rather luxurious robes, even had crowds around them, with people signing up to join their clans.
His frown deepened. This was getting confusing by the minute, and he needed information about this place, and fast.
With hurried steps, he ignored the man calling to him and joined one of the lines in front of the counters. By the time his turn arrived to greet the elder behind the counter before him, he was honestly thinking of just using the natural law of space and leaving the place since his instant teleportation wasn’t working in the Hall.
The elder before him gazed at him. He noticed the annoyance in Kyle’s eyes and lowered the monocle on his left eye.
“Oh, what a bright blue light you have around your body. A pair of incredibly clear eyes as well. Where are you from? Why do you possess such pure natural power?”
His words were enough to make Kyle alert. He still hadn’t changed his appearance, so how did this old man see his true form?! He was sure it was concealed by the symbol! But it was as if the old man could still see it!
The old Celestial’s words attracted the attention of many others as well.
Usually, the elders behind the counters remained silent and only nodded at the new arrivals, but one of them had actually taken the liberty to talk with this hooded man!
Ares and Cassian, who had arrived in the Hall, also fixed their eyes on Kyle’s back.
Kyle seriously wanted to vanish with the number of eyes he was sensing on him. He glared at the elderly man from underneath the hoodie but maintained a calm face.
“I am just from a small universe. Can you give me the pass, or whatever is needed for me to leave this place?”
Those individuals who were there to recruit new people into their clans knew the elders’ temper and gasped in shock at his audacity to talk to one of them with such a tone.
However, what made them startled was that instead of smacking this audacious person away like a fly, the elder actually laughed!
