Seeing the array of giant spears made of stone raining from the sky, Shin knew that his earlier worry indeed had happened.
This Morax guy would truly use a series of powerful skills to force Shin's hands to burn his aces in exchange.
Given that almost all of Shin's Domain Skills were still in cooldown time, which the opposing side most likely knew, Shin was put in a tricky situation.
"Tsk! I guess I do not have a choice. I have to put on an extra effort for this," mumbled Shin as he summoned three of his elemental spirits for a triple possession. "Grimrace, Blackie, and Whitie!"
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The three elementals manifested behind Shin together for a very brief moment before turning into specs of light that fused with his weapon and armor.
The twin tigers twirled around his swords in a spiral manner before merging and possessing the sword.
'Elemental Spirit Companion (Light and Darkness): Chaos Slasher'
Grimrace, on the other hand, melded with the Apocalypse Set and turned it into a set of shadow armor filled with a series of demonic-like runes shining in crimson light.'Elemental Spirit Possession (Shadow): Soul Eater'
Crackle! Crackle! Crackle!
The Five Elemental Primordial Lighting danced around his body as he stood in his signature sword-drawing stance.
"Let's just save that broken berserk skill for the latter then," he mumbled as he suddenly unsheathed his sword and fully unleashed all the accumulated powers that he had accumulated.
Shing!
'Jade Kirin Scripture: Quick Draw (Lightning) – Eclipse Dragon Draw'
Roar!
The giant dragon made of lighting energy was fully released from the tip of his swords before dancing in the air and colliding against the raid of giant stone spears, destroying them in the process.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
But despite his skillful control, he was unable to destroy all the giant stone spears given their overwhelming numbers and sizes.
Additionally, his lightning energy was somewhat restricted by the demonic stone element of his opponent, which was why the energy behind his attack was slowly losing its power the more it clashed against the giant stone spears. ⱤἈΝꝊβÈṨ
If it was just a skill with regular earth elemental mana, then he would not be having a hard time dealing with such attacks since his Five Elemental Primordial Lightning countered it, especially when the lightning that he controlled itself was formed by combining the five major elements.
But since this earth elemental energy that his opponent was controlling contained a large amount of demonic energy, his elemental powers were somewhat restricted even if the Five Elemental Primordial Lightning was supposed to counter any dark-elemental or evil powers.
This could only mean one thing. His mastery over his elemental powers was far inferior compared to Morax.
Adding the fact that they were currently inside an Ancient Battlefield that amplified almost all the abilities that Morax possessed.
Hu~!
"This is not the end yet," Shin inhaled deeply as he skillfully twirled the [Yamato] in the air before holding it with both of his hands, perfectly linking his movements alongside his previous actions.
He then gathered more of the Five Elemental Primordial Lightning towards the sword before swinging it with all his might, transforming his arms and the sword into blurs due to their insane speed.
He was filling the gap in powers with more skills, fighting 'quality' with 'quantity'.
Swoosh!
'Jade Kirin Scripture: Seventh Movement – Thunder Eclipse'
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A huge crescent lighting wave was sent flying toward the sky, cutting through the remaining stone pears and destroying the array that was supporting them.
He might have survived the attack and made the first bout a draw, but it was a bad start for him as he had already spent one of his most powerful attacks.
"Continue!" It was supposed to be his turn, but Shin refused to take the chance due to the 'home' disadvantage. It might sound a little foolish, but he knew that he could not afford to take the risk of having the initiative in these exchanges for the same reason.
Morax raised his brows a little after hearing that, but he quickly smiled immediately after. "If you say so-… then I will welcome such an invitation."
Taking away his stone spear, he suddenly spread his arms wide while still floating in the air. His face was directed to the dark sky as he closed his eyes. He then started chanting a series of demonic prayers to which the dark sky seemed to have responded.
Rumble!
Shin could feel it. The sky seemed to be shaking violently as if something devastating was about to arrive.
Rumble!
A thunderous sound echoed in the entire sky before the dark clouds were parted by a powerful gust of wind, drilling a hole in it.
"Sh*t!" Shin could not help but curse out loud after seeing what was coming.
Rumble!
A giant meteor as big as a humongous mountain was falling from the sky, seemingly signifying the end of the world.
'Demonic Stone God Skill (Tier 3): Planetary Destruction'
Swoosh!
Seeing the blazing meteor descending from the high heavens, Shin could not help but close his eyes and regulate his breathing.
He took the standard sword stance where he was holding the [Yamato] with both of his hands before him while pointing it forward in a slightly inclined manner.
Hup!
With a sturdy step forward, Shin inhaled deeply as he raised the sword over him with both of his hands.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
At the same time, all the Elemental Spirit Possession that he had was automatically released but still maintained their speck of light form.
Then they joined the other elemental spirits which gathered behind Shin, forming a magic circle that spun rapidly as they poured all their elemental energy into their master's body.
Rumble!
When the giant meteor went past Morax in the air, it was already somewhat reaching the land and even scorching the surrounding region with its intense heat.
The land also somewhat caved in due to the powerful pressure that came alongside the descending meteor. It was pressing into the ground, making the latter sink the closer it got.
Hu~!
Shin's body was glowing with multiple lights that represented each elemental power that his Reapers were providing him.
These multiple elemental powers were protecting him from the heat and pressure coming from the falling meteor as he gathered more energy and focused it on his sword.
Not long after, he had swung the [Yamato] at the incoming meteor with all his might.
Shing!
Time seemed to have stopped right after he swung the sword – nothing else was moving aside from himself.
Snap!
Not long after, the side of a glass splitting could be heard reverberating in the entire place.
Shing!
Then something seemed to have cut through everything on the path before his sword. Even the space was separated with two of its sections sliding toward opposite direction.
'Ultimate Elemental Skill (Combined): Ragnarök'
Boom!
The giant meteor was cut in half right after his sword fell, alongside everything that followed the path of his previous swing, which was also where Morax stood.
But Morax just calmly put his palms together, attempting to control the huge falling chunks of the sliced meteor and planning to use them to crush Shin with them.
Shin was not the only one, who could do a combination skill or linking ability!
However, those two chunks exploded due to the explosion of the residual energies left behind by Shin's previous attack. They had created an afterstorm that swept through everything.
Boom! Boom!
Morax slightly raised his brows when he saw that. But he did not have the time to dwell on it as the world-severing slash passed through his body.
Split!
Fortunately, he had already made a preparation ahead of time.
This body of his suddenly turned into crumbled pieces of stones while another one appeared a dozen meters away.
"Tsk! That's dangerous," he commented, somewhat admiring the earlier move of his opponent. But at the same time, he had also analyzed that previous attack. "It is much different from what I have seen from those documents. Does this skill evolve alongside him? Is it one of those types of skills?"
"Now this is more interesting~! It is worth making a deal with him, or else I will be in trouble if I have been caught off guard by it," he added before turning his attention back to Shin.
Then, he was suddenly taken back by the words of the latter.
"Hey! I won this round, am I right?"
Morax could not help but pause with those words, before shaking his head. "I guess I am one step away from losing this bet."
Given the conditions that he had presented previously, he had already lost the bet. Even if he emerged victorious in the next bout, Shin would still win the bet as mentioned in the contract.
The only way to escape this predicament was to meet the extra conditions that he had hidden in the clauses of the contract.
"Should I go all out as well?" he said while looking at Shin seriously.
Shin was not surprised that the opposing side had not taken the initiative to surrender as he had seen through the tricks that Morax had. He also realized the hidden conditions after reading those clauses earlier, so he was kind of expecting this situation.
After all, he did not believe that Morax would just give up their operation that easily. Forcing Shin to burn all his aces ahead of time was one thing, but losing this bet had never been an option for him either.
He always hid such extra details behind the clauses that he had presented from the contract. It was just he had never lost or found out up until now, which was he was quite confident with his scheme.
A demon would never present a contract unfavorable to itself. They were always scheming with the tempting whispers that they gave to their potential victims.
But from the look of things, it seemed like it had come back biting him when facing a truly capable opponent.
"This will be for the last bout," said Morax as he prepared for his next attack.
