Zara watched her brother walk out with a frown on his face. "Got chased out?"

"Tsk," Chen sat down on the sofa with a grumble. "Why can't I stay in there? I was only trying to console the sobbing boy. Why is Aunt so unreasonable?"

"She is being protective of you. After all, he is a stranger to us."

"He is harmless." he snapped back.

Zara raised an eyebrow. "I've never seen you have such a good opinion of a stranger before. What? Were you tempted by his beauty?"

Chen scoffed. "As if. That guy is like an open book. I can see he's a good guy."

"Says the guy who was super convinced that he was a spy."

Yes, he was convinced, but now he was sure that guy was not a spy from another base. Chen hunched to the closed door with a frown. 'That guy must be crying again.'

"She is going to scare him," he mumbled under his breath. "and he is going to cry again.."

"Hey, Aunt Tian is not that scary."

"She is. Have you seen what she can do to a zombie? I would be scared if I were you," he laid on the sofa, glancing up at the ceiling. "Where is Dad, anyway?"

"Not sure. Grandma and Grandpa are out on their walk, and Aunt Juda is taking her baby for a checkup with Uncle P. We'll have to ask them when they return."

He peered at her questioningly. "How did you know that?" They both just arrived home, yet this girl knew every single gossip that was to know.

"They left a note. You usually notice all these quite faster, but today you seem distracted," Zara playfully punched him. "Tempted by beauty?"

"Shut it. I was not distracted."

He was distracted. The boy kept clinging to him and crying. Of course, he was not able to concentrate on anything else.

But he would never admit it.

Chen silently closed his eyes and had a peaceful nap. The next day he woke up dazedly. He did not even realize that he had slept through the whole day and night without waking up. Blinking his dull eyes, he looked around. His Grandpa and Grandma were talking to Zara in a soft tone.

"Grandma, Grandpa," he walked up to them.

"Look who is awake," Grandpa beckoned him close with a smile. "Little Chen must have been so tired. Grandma made you some lentil soup, drink it and pad your stomach."

"Wait, I'll go heat it up," Grandma stood up unsteadily.

"No, wait, I'll go do it," he shot up and held her hands.

"Nonsense. You rest here," she proudly pushed his helping hands off and walked over to the kitchen in a small pace.

"She is starting to have that 'I don't need help' phase," Grandpa added with a smile. "But she needs help." He nudged Zara.

She got the cue and ran to the old lady. "Grandma, why don't you teach me your famous onion soup recipe?"

"Oh, that is so simple." Chatting jovially, the two women left for the kitchen.

"You kids have all grown up," the old man grabbed his hand and gently massaged his palm. "This palm used to be smaller than my thumb, and now look… it's kinda sad. I miss your snot-nosed face a lot."

Chen tsked. "I didn't run around with snot in my nose."

"Oh, you did." The old man chuckled softly. Then his eyes fell on the closed door. "I heard you brought in a young man to marry."

Chen groaned. "Oh my God, seriously. I just saved a stray from outside. He is not my bride." He sat down on the patch of grass that was their natural carpet.

The old man hit him with his cane. "Come on, if he is pretty, marry him."

"Didn't you want grandkids?"

The old man rolled his eyes. "You can adopt, silly. Just marry the boy if he is to your liking."

Chen did not want anything much about that topic. "Where's Dad and Father?"

"They are both on a mission to our old base."

This instantly caught his attention. Frowning, he peered down at him. "What do you mean? You know how dangerous that place is."

Twenty years ago, that base was raided by a huge tide wave of zombies, and they had to run to protect their lives. Even till this date, that old base is known to hold the most powerful zombies. Those who ventured in never came home.

"How could you allow them to leave like that! You know how risky that is!"

"Your dads are powerful, kid," the old man nonchalantly waved his concern off.

"But!"

"Sit down," he pulled him down to sit on the ground. "They are going back to retrieve a very important plant. It's vital for our base's development."

Chen sighed out loud. "They should have at least waited for me. I would have accompanied them."

"It's going to be okay. Sit," he pulled him close. "When you guys were away, we got a radio from your uncle Murong's base."

"Hmm?" He absentmindedly listened to his blabber.

"He said that they found two new survivors, but he also mentioned that they were in strange attires. All white with not a stain on their clothes and shoes."

This caught his attention. "All white?"

Suddenly Skyy's words came to mind. "Did you get their names by any chance?"

"Something that starts with a K..."

"Kyle?"

"Yes!"

Chen gaped at him. "And the other guy's name is Kaden?"

"Yes, I think… why? Do you know them?"

"I don't, but that guy who I rescued does." He walked to the radio room and quickly called up to confirm. In ten minutes, he was able to authenticate the information. Kyle and Kaden did exist.

'Then Skyy is not crazy…. Is there really a base on the moon? That's impossible… he… he must be joking...' He did not wish to talk in detail about other bases on the radio, so he did not ask his Uncle Murong anything much.

Chen quickly went to the door and knocked. "Skyy?"

"Y-yes.." a soft whisper came from inside.

"We have found your friend. Kyle and Kaden. They are safe in my uncle's base."

"Really!"

The iron door was suddenly yanked open from inside, and it fell loudly to the ground. Both of them stood frozen looking at the state of the door. "Did you just…"

"You guys have weak doors."
