Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1108: The Pact Broken (part 2)

The group of Light Faction clans seemed somewhat divided on what was being proposed. To have a war with the civilians in the Light Faction. It was tough for a lot of them to stomach due to their values.

It wasn't as if clans within the Light Faction never fought each other, but there tended to be a reason for the fighting, and it would be done in a way that was deemed honorable.

However, to deal with the situation quickly and to not fight in a full-scale war, they would have to attack only the leaders and those that controlled the general public.

Doing this, it felt like they were more so members of the Dark Faction, rather than that of the Light Faction. It was the part that wasn't sitting well with them.

Then there were those that also agreed with what Kawak was saying. They were willing to follow him, believing he knew the path to a brighter future for the Light Faction.

There were also those that just wanted to get on his good side, closer to the top so they could one day have a chance at the seat.

Finally, there were those that believed it was about time. Pagna warriors were a higher class, those who devoted their life to martial arts at a chance of immortality.

They were extremely powerful, being able to kill regular humans with a simple slap at times. Yet they always had to restrain themselves due to the pact, had to follow part of the rules that they created, but why?

The biggest issue, though, was who they were going up against. Unlike the split kingdoms in the other Factions' territory, the Light Faction was under one group of people, the Empire.

The Empire had greater wealth than other areas, they had greater influence as well compared to other factions, and who knew what power they were hiding other than their incredibly large army.

At times, people even wondered if it was the Empire itself that was protecting the Light Faction from getting eliminated.

Since the Light Faction was quite integrated with the Empire with its dealings. If the other factions attacked the Light Faction directly, there was a chance it would also disrupt things with the empire.

"The decision has been made," Kawak said. "I am not asking for opinions. A change is needed, and the Aurora Clan as well as the Illumination Clan are already committed to this."

"I am asking you all to either be part of that change or not. However, I understand those that might not wish to bear the sins for the future generations. I will not impose that this is something that you must do."

"For those who wish to progress, then please head back to your clans, where more information will be provided on what will happen next. As for those who do not wish to take part, then please stay."

The discussions between the elders had continued. They were talking, trying to convince each other, and as time went on, more and more had decided to leave the room.

In the end, the majority had left the room, including that of Impress. In the end, there were only ten that were left in the room that were against the attack.

They were called from their seats down to the center of the room, where they could face Kawak and Cicle.

"Brothers and sisters. I understand your decision. It is a tough one for all of us to make. I will wish you all good luck on your journey," Kawak said, bowing his head down. When he lifted his head, he drew his sword and slashed right at their necks.

The strike, filled with Qi, extended out, killing five of them, and on the other side, Cicle had done the same.

"I wish you all luck in the afterlife," Kawak said. "As we stated, we all need to be on the same page. We can't have those close to us being against us. I have done so much to reach the realm of immortality, I will not let fools like you get in my way."

Kawak turned around, and Cicle followed him by his side, both of them slightly grabbing onto their chest, knowing what was at risk for them if they didn't succeed with all of this.

"We will start in a few hours, get everyone ready."

A pulse was sent through the entire Light Faction, with all of the clan heads getting ready to make their move. Meetings were called between the local mayors that lived in their towns.

Guard generals and officials that controlled the cities and the lands. It was usual for meetings to take place, so it didn't seem out of the blue.

What wasn't regular was what happened next. At a simple swing of the hand, heads went flying and rolling on the floors. This had taken place all over the Light Faction areas.

Some didn't have it in them to go dark in their ways, challenging military officials to a fight. At first, they believed they were joking, but when not allowing them to leave their rooms, they could see that it was serious.

The fights themselves didn't last long, in front of the powerful Pagna warriors.

The pulse was spreading throughout the Light Faction, and even Impress had succeeded in taking over one of the biggest cities, as she had the general of the empire underneath her foot. "Haha, we should have done this a long time ago," Impress said. "I can't believe we were following orders from you, and what for, what is with all of this?"

Using the full strength of her feet, the skull was crushed, and a city had been taken over.

Lastly, there was only one place left, the empire's palace where the emperor resides. This task was left to Kawak and Cicle themselves.

Sitting in the throne room, the emperor with light blonde hair was sitting in his seat, a man that looked to be around thirty years of age was perplexed as the reports had come in.

"I thought this would happen after the matter in the Demonic Faction," the emperor said. "I guess we have no choice. Contact the Divine Realm, tell them the pact has been broken."
