Death... and me

Chapter 3519: New VS Devices

Chapter 3519: New VS Devices

The first thing Rean did, however, was to buy a new batch of VS Devices. After all, he didn’t want to use the IDs acquired while using VS Devices from the Divine Snow World. With that, he and Zangeshu worked on them for a few days.

"As expected, the VS Devices from the Divine Realm are different from the VS Devices from the Divine Snow World," Rean commented. "First of all, the VS Devices outside the Divine Snow Realm aren’t attached to the brain. I wonder why that’s the case..."

Zangeshu attached the VS Device to the slot of the CD, which had been modified to receive that new one. "Rifindio, even as a Supreme Palace Member, never used the VS Devices that go on the brain. From that, you can already tell that the Divine Snow World was different. Perhaps that’s where the newest technologies are tested before reaching the mainstream of experts of the whole Universe."

"That makes sense," Rean took another CD, attaching another VS Device to its slot. Then, he connected to the Werdlem Empire System again, just that a new identity had been made for it. "I’ll call you."

Zangeshu received the call, and the two nodded, satisfied. This master and disciple might have very different personalities, but they truly worked well together when it came to circuitry formations.

"Errr... Rean, are you sure this is going to work?" Suddenly, Rifindio arrived where Rean and Zangeshu were working. He was in his original form... but he wasn’t blue anymore. Instead, he recovered his red color, although he had a few shape traits he gained over the years due to the usage of Kentucky’s bloodline.

Rean looked around Rifindio, nodding in appreciation. "You truly look like a Camazotz Bat."

"I AM a Camazotz Bat, mind you!" Rifindio insisted.

"Not exactly," Kentucky commented, having followed Rifindio here. "The integration of my bloodline has caused some mutations. We told you already. The aura of a Camazotz Bat isn’t coming out of you anymore. Well, not entirely. Any other Camazotz Bat will be able to feel the difference."

Rifindio did indeed hear that before. In fact, it was because of that that he managed to pass by another race in some of the encounters of the past, especially with the Inquisition Hall. The Mist Library was a good example. The Inquisition Hall experts back then saw Rifindio’s real form... but it was blue, and the aura was different, so they didn’t pay much attention, let alone think he was a Camazotz Bat.

"I still don’t see how using me to try to activate the teleport will work," Rifindio couldn’t help but comment. "If I appear at the Super Long-Distance Teleport Formation, they might indeed take my orders. However, the experts there will also need to contact the Supreme Palace so they can contact the other side of the formation and have it activated at the same time."

"When the Supreme Palace receives a message that a Camazotz Bat appeared here and asked to use the Teleport, they will ask who I am and why I am even there. At that moment, I will need to provide an ID and a reason for my presence there. The Supreme Palace has tight control over its Camazotz Bats, as we are not supposed to intervene much in the rest of the Universe. They will soon find out that there wasn’t supposed to be a Camazotz Bat here."

Rean agreed with him. "Exactly, so what will they do in that case?"

"They will either change my destination, sending me to the Supreme Palace instead of our objective, or they will send another Camazotz Bat to check on me. But regardless of which option they chose, they would definitely request the experts at the teleport formation on our side to hold me there since I wasn’t supposed to be there."

"Exactly, once again!" Rean couldn’t agree more. "That’s why you will appear, request them to activate the teleport formation, and leave straight away. You won’t wait for the Supreme Palace to be contacted since activating such a teleport formation usually takes some time. Then, we just need to wait. Also, you won’t ask them to go to the Danalil Continent, where the Great Void Shifter is located. Instead, you will ask to return to the Supreme Palace."

Rifindio finally seems to understand what Rean is planning to do. "Wait! You want to lure a Camazotz Bat down?"

"Obviously!" Rean nodded with a smile. "How else will we use the teleport? The best way is to acquire a Camazotz Bat identity, so we need a guinea pig."

"What’s a guinea pig?" Rifindio asked back.

Rean shrugged. "Forget that. Just do as I said, and let’s make an appearance at the Teleport Formation. "

Rifindio still found it too risky... but then again, he knew what the twins could do to flee if necessary. "Fine... At least I won’t need to reveal my real identity as Rifindio. Well, with the few changes in my body, no one would recognize me anyway."

"You are welcome," Kentucky patted his back with his wing.

Rifindio didn’t seem very thankful for that, though. Rean, however, just smiled and came out of the Dimensional Realm alone. There was no need to have Kentucky and Rifindio with him there, as he was simply going to use the Teleport Formations to reach Calamigas Continent. That’s where the super long-distance teleport formation could be found.

Right there in the city, Rean took a teleport to the next one until he reached the first long-distance teleport formation. From there, he went from one continent to another, paying the fees in full so he didn’t need to wait.

He didn’t go straight to Calamigas Continent, though. Instead, he stopped five continents away. From there, he went flying with Kentucky or using simple teleport formations between nearby cities. That way, he would prevent his traces from being tracked back to the Evernight World border. The chances of that happening were low, but there was no need to risk it either.

Finally, the two reached Calamigas, and flew to Hangu City, its capital, and also where you could find the nearest Super Long-Distance Teleport Formation.
