Death... and me

Chapter 3530: Quite Simple

Chapter 3530: Quite Simple

The Badger Spirit seemed to get crazy at that moment. He lashed out with all his might and even managed to take down two of the Space-Time Realm experts who weren’t careful enough. Still, that made the other experts furious, and the Divinity Realm ones attacked back with extra strength.

At the same time, they felt the Divine Energy inside the Badger Spirit accumulating, growing out of control. "Shit, he plans to self explode!"

All the while, the Badger Spirit launched himself at everyone who got close until...

*Bang!*

An opening appeared, and one of the Divinity Realm experts landed a hit. The Badger tried to defend in the last instant, rotating his body and bringing his Sickles together. However, the enemy was just too fast, and the shield of sickles he tried to create wasn’t made in time. Fortunately for him, the force wasn’t enough to kill since the Divinity Realm Experts still needed him alive, but that was definitely enough to cause serious damage. His core almost cracked there.

The Badger Spirit was launched against the mountain like a meteor, and its Spiritual Body almost disappeared during the impact. Since it barely had any energy to even keep its body projection, it also didn’t have the energy to self-explode anymore.

The Divinity Realm experts and the other Space-Time ones saw that and couldn’t help but sigh in relief. All they needed to do was to capture the Badger Spirit, and their mission would be over.

However, it was at that moment that something different happened. A silver light covered the area where the badger fell down, and for a split second, the locked space in that small area was countered. The experts only had enough time to see thousands of runes lifting from the ground and then breaking apart due to the almost impossible task that was asked of them.

Nonetheless, by the time the Silver Light was gone, it wasn’t the only thing that disappeared. Together with the light, the Badger also became history!

"WHAT?!" The experts came down instantly, spreading their Divine Senses and looking everywhere. In the next second, they also remembered just who was inside that same mountain, the guy they had ignored due to how weak and injured he was. Their Divine Senses penetrated the mountain once again. Yet, the Middle-aged Man was nowhere to be seen either. "How’s that possible?!"

---

*Zush!*

Almost seventy thousand kilometers away, Rean suddenly appeared by Kentucky and Roan’s sides as Kentucky continued to fly at a breakneck speed. Space bent nonstop, and Kentucky’s wings were even burning with a white and black flame. There was no doubt Kentucky was doing his best there. "It’s done! Go, go, go!"

Seventy thousand kilometers might look like a lot, but let’s not forget the Divine Sense of a Divinity Realm Expert could easily cover twenty to thirty thousand. No, that was an average from back in the Lisan Universe. Ever since the twins got to this Universe, every single expert here was much stronger than those at the same level back then. Rean wouldn’t be surprised if some slightly better ones could cover fifty thousand or more.

Sure enough, it only took a few seconds, and the Divine Sense of one of those Divinity Realm experts already passed by them. It’s just that Rean’s Divine Sense Bending Skill was now active, and that expert would need to get to at least 30 or so kilometers from him to be able to see through it. Maybe a little more if Natural Spatial Perception was taken into consideration.

Kentucky immediately slowed down, as moving at that speed warped space too much and was hard to conceal. "What now?"

Rean nodded. "Just keep flying straight. Let’s see if they can detect the Badger Spirit in the Dimensional Realm. If they fly straight at us, we will immediately release the Badger and flee in some other direction."

The seconds passed, and then minutes. The Divine Senses appeared from behind, but none of them seemed to be coming straight at Rean, Roan, and Kentucky. Simply put, both Divinity and Space-Time Realm experts were spreading around, trying to see if they could find where the Badger Spirit and the ’Middle-aged man’ had gone.

Around an hour later, only a single Divine Sense was still touching Rean and was a Divinity Realm at Peak Stage. However, the guy eventually flew in some other direction while the twins’ group continued forward. "Seems like they can’t detect our new friend inside our Dimensional Realm."

Roan looked back, agreeing with Rean. "That’s good. Now we can have some time with him. Let’s find a good place to hide first."

Kentucky flew for two days straight while Rean and Roan worked together to keep the Divine Sense Bending Skill working nonstop. Kentucky could also use it since he could use Light Element, but it was better for him to focus his energy on flying only.

They ended up coming down in an open grass field with nothing but some low-level Demon Beasts in sight. It didn’t matter, though. The twins opened a hole and dove inside, covering the entrance. They only stopped a few kilometers down and only after Rean put another concealing formation in place. With the area secure, the twins and Kentucky entered the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.

They appeared by Sister Orb’s side, who was taking care of a yellow core in front of her. "How is it?"

[The last attack was quite heavy on him. He did fall in your direction, but I don’t think he planned to receive such a heavy blow. He will be fine, though. His core is naturally absorbing Divine Energy, and he should wake up soon.]

The twins nodded and waited there. Sure enough, Sister Orb was right. Just five hours later, the core seemed to react, and the same yellow light began to form a projection of a badger body... or something that looked like a badger, at least. It had its difference from the Badger Rean remembered from Earth.

"Good morning, sunshine! How was your sleep?" Rean asked with a smile.

"Ah!" The Badger jumped back and immediately used his Divine Energy to create a Sickle. "Who are you? What is this place? Why did you help me?"

Roan just observed as Rean continued to smile before pointing at the Sickle. Instantly, it vanished from existence. "First answer: I’m Rean, don’t you remember? Second: This is my Pocket Dimensional Realm. Third: Your Weapon Intent very much interests us, so we helped you. Do these answers satisfy your questions?"

The Badger wasn’t surprised his Sickle of Energy disappeared. Once he heard he was inside someone else’s Pocket Dimensional Realm, he knew that everything here only answered one person, and that person was Rean. "So I’m your prisoner now, uh?"

Rean shrugged. "Not really. We will let you go soon as we don’t really have anything against you. We don’t even know who you are."

"You... don’t know?" The Badger Spirit was taken aback. He was certain the other part only intervened because of his special identity. "Wait, I have a question first. How did you manage to save me back there? The Space was locked, and even if it wasn’t, it was completely chaotic. You shouldn’t have managed to teleport us away. I only remember the moment the Spatial Pull appeared, and my consciousness went black."

"Oh, that? Hahaha!" Rean laughed in response. "Actually, it was quite simple."
