306 Glorious return of a princess
As soon as the carrier ship reached a desolate Galaxy with just one planet but countless suns. Under Sharyn’s guidance, they effortlessly navigated through the intense heat, following strange parts until they reached a black planet.
Bam!
The ship landed and Alex jumped out of the ship. His eyes scanned the area and a frown was on his face. The entire area was practically barren land scorched by the intense heat. If Alex hasn’t practiced the deity secret technique to a profound level, he wouldn’t even be able to stand here.
“Just like in planet Estos, we only have one prosperous city. Anything more than that will be a waste” Sharyn said as soon as she noticed the disappointed look on Alex’s face.
Upon stepping feet on the soil of the planet, Alex could change the gravity level of this planet to be stronger than that of any other planet he has come in contact with.
Such level of gravity plus the scorching heat of this world. In such harder conditions, it’s almost impossible to birth a weakling.
“Deviant powers seem to be the sole redeeming factor of the human race,” Alex said calmly as he followed Sharyn without question.
The two walked for close to an hour and only then did a city begin appearing in view. It was a massive city covered with a massive glass shell.
Just like Sharyn said, the city ahead was filled with vegetation, and water, and it seemed fertile. How they managed to successfully do something like this, is something Alex will never understand but it’s also not his business. As a fighter, why would he concern himself with things like this?
.....
Alex looked ahead but couldn’t see the attachment edges of the city. It covered a large amount of land but compared to the land left behind in this world, they barely used up ten percent of the planet’s land.
“Who goes there!” a loud cry could be heard as Alex saw flaming chariots of fire racing through the wind and dashing towards them!
His eyes turned cold and turned black in response to the sound he heard. Alex stretched his hand at the chariots of fire but Sharyn’s figure blocked his vision and with a stern look on her face she peered into Alex’s eyes.
“Don’t do anything unless needed. Trust me to handle things, okay?” Sharyn asked with an innocent look on her face, making Alex frown before sighing.
He let his hand drop and his eyes returned to normal. His leather jacket was open, revealing the hole in his chest. As soon as the guards got close enough to see who it was, not only were they horrified, but then seemed reluctant to approach but upon seeing Sharyn their faces lit up with excitement!
“Princess!” Everyone cried out in elation and fell to their knees with their heads bowed.
Alex raised an eyebrow as he shot Sharyn another gaze but for a short while before looking away. He could remember when she first joined him, she was too scared to return due to her fears. Back then he thought she was afraid of death but now he knew why.
It wasn’t that she was scared of death but as someone with a very high position, her actions would need to be accounted for. By coming back here the deity race will have to cover up for her, taking the blame and paying for her mistakes or she could stay with Alex and bear the blame alone.
Alex’s eyes shifted to the kneeling soldiers and he silently gave an approving nod. Seeing the excitement in their eyes, Alex was sure they loved her to an extent. It gave him a bit of hope that nothing too bad will happen.
“Your Highness, who is this guest?” One of the soldiers looked at Alex.
The cracks all over his body with his silver eyes and fluttering silver hair made them feel restless. He gave off a dangerous aura but the wound on his chest made him look weak at the same time.
“Alex Briggs... Tell your leader, your daughter brought with her the most powerful man alive” Alex spoke up with a scornful look in his eyes as he addressed them.
The pride and cruelty were visible in his eyes and upon hearing his name the guards paled and instinctively reached for their weapons but stopped halfway.
“You...”
Alex was standing behind them with his hands placed on their heads and a cruel look in his eyes.
“Fortunately for you all, Killing you will only make the princess sad and I don’t wish to see her sad” Alex said calmly stunning the two guards.
They both looked up to see the sincerity in Alex’s eyes.
“Just do as you are told,” Alex said with a long sigh as he strode back to Alex’s side.
Sharyn gazed at his face with strange looks in her eyes as if she was trying to understand his intentions. She held on to his hand with a red ting on her cheeks as they both strode forward under the view of the guards.
Before they reached the gates the news of the princess had spread and her unexpected guest seemed to be even more popular.
Everyone wanted to see the man who made both the Danites and the alliance uncomfortable. The only man capable of standing in the middle of it and still not getting affected.
Alex Briggs!
Xiu!
Alex’s eyes turned black while spinning fiercely like a whirlpool. He and Sharyn slowly levitated off the ground and with his hands placed behind him while his hair fluttered fiercely.
Hmph!
Bang!
Alex’s body exploded with power as the cracks all over his body were filled with a fierce white aura. The space around him trembled violently as he approached, carrying the aura of the end as he moved. Seeing such a powerful figure hold on to the hand of princess Sharyn so gently they were unsure of what to feel.
One thing they knew for sure was that their arrival may offset the power system of the entire planet! Things won’t remain the same!
