"…"
Empyrean Miller Skyrend's expression churned.
He looked at the Divine Emperor of Death, never having been so humiliated in his life. In fact, it wasn't those words that irked him but the fact that he truly had done something so lowly that he didn't have a single excuse for himself.
"Do you give your word that you would not flee or harm your little sister in a fit of rage even if she were to attack you?"
Empyrean Miller Skyrend asked, his voice trembling as though he was extremely reluctant to acquiesce to an Anarchic Divergent's request.
"Venerable Elder, we must not!"
"She must have suffered enough under his machinations and came to have such a twisted opinion of an Anarchic Divergent. We cannot entertain such a ridiculous notion of-"
"Silence!"
Echoes of disagreement could be heard from below but Empyrean Miller Skyrend waved his hand as he glared at Davis with wide eyes, expecting an answer from him.
"I wouldn't have complaints even if she stabbed me right here."Davis raised his hand and tapped on his forehead before he lowered his hand, "And don't talk about me harming her when you're the one who claimed that your organization would punish her for the simple fact of a younger sister being in a good relationship with her older brother."
"…"
Veins erupted in Empyrean Miller Skyrend's forehead, his expression twitching as his shame reached the peak.
"Bring Her Highness to this place!" He waved his hand at the other Heaven's Warriors, his expression furious.
"But-"
The Heaven's Warriors wanted to decline, but having never seen Empyrean Miller Skyrend so angry in their lifetime, they gulped, and a few of them went to get her.
Davis noticed that they didn't send messages but went to get her. This made him aware that she was indeed locked in a karmic void zone and probably where even sounds or other wavelengths don't make it inside.
This also meant that she was unaware of the entire fight that had happened at the last minute.
Nonetheless, while he was here doing nothing other than flying mid-air, he could see he was being surrounded. Formations were being built. It didn't matter if he chose to run. He was already within their grasp.
They were only waiting for the signal, which appeared to be from Empyrean Miller Skyrend's hands, as he seemed to be the nominal leader of the area.
'So Elluro Coldwing isn't here…?'
Davis felt that it was weird.
His destination to this place would've been exposed one or two days ago ever since Clara was caught- no, Regalanius was investigated. If it were just two days, Autarch Elluro Coldwing wouldn't be able to make it here. However, that wasn't the report the Heavenly Blight Hall gave him.
The latter held some kind of spatial stone that would allow him to teleport vast distances, and since the other party was a Late Stage Autarch, he could cross the spatial storm without much of a problem, which meant he didn't need to take the realm pathways and could directly approach the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Minor Realm as long as he knew the direction he needed to take, which can be taken care of since so many Heaven's Warriors were here.
The fact that Autarch Elluro Coldwing wasn't here made Davis feel that something strange was going on somewhere else. Or was it simply a case of Autarch Elluro Coldwing believing the Heaven's Warriors were here to take care of him?
Davis couldn't tell.
"Young calamitous manifestation of death, what are your intentions in this world?"
At that moment, someone asked him in a loud voice.
Looking down, Davis saw it was none other than the Realm Master of the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan, Lombart Blackstone.
"…"
Davis ignored him and continued looking ahead.
"Answer me!"
Lombart Blackstone demanded, his expression furious, "You destroyed my city and think you can get away with it!?"
"…"
Still, Davis didn't answer.
It caused Lombart Blackstone to shudder and gather spatial energy as though he was going to attack. However, he forcefully restrained himself as he cast a gaze at Empyrean Miller Skyrend, seemingly having received a soul transmission from him.
Soon, many people came out of a palace in the distance.
They came from a different direction than the one Davis and the others searched in.
Davis saw that there was Clara among them. His cold eyes finally displayed a hint of warmth as he saw her remain unharmed. There wasn't a even a single hint of injury which let him know that the Heaven's Warriors indeed treated her with respect.
"Brother…"
Clara's gaze shook as she saw him, his purple robes fluttering while he stood in the air amidst the ruins. It was clear that a huge battle had just taken place, strange auras brimming all over the place. She couldn't understand if it was all caused by her brother, but she saw that there was only a single dead body in the execution stage, which meant her brother had successfully saved his friends.
Or was this whole thing fake in order to lure him here? She didn't think so.
However, if he saved his friends, why didn't he leave?
Was it for her?
Clara closed her eyes as she felt an intense pang of guilt and sorrow.
"Clara, let's go back, shall we?"
Davis extended his hand, his voice warm.
Clara opened her eyes, her pupils glowing purple.
"Brother, you shouldn't have come here." Her tone was cold, her expression devoid of emotions.
It made Davis blink before he took his hand back and smiled lightly.
"True. Your brother is foolish and does stupid things all the time. Usually, your brother would've been saved by his wives, but they're nowhere to be seen, and they are all safe and sound. Don't you want to see them?"
"…"
Clara's expression trembled. She lowered her head, her body shuddering.
"Why…?"
She raised her hand, her eyes tearing up.
"Just leave. I don't have a willful brother like you. At least die somewhere away from my sight."
"…"
Davis wryly smiled. He could tell that his little sister was telling him to run, but those words were so hurtful.
However, he was glad. The more she pushed him away, the better her life was going to be on the other side.
He must either take her away or ensure she vilified him in public in order to receive less of a punishment.
Otherwise, as her big brother, he would've failed her.
There was no way Clara wouldn't notice his intentions from all the time they spent together in childhood, so he guessed this was her answer. She decided to stay with the Heaven's Warriors.
"…"
Empyrean Miller Skyrend and Autarch Yulan Nazarin sighed. They could also see the two cared for each other very much, but the heavens ordained that one die and the other prosper. There was nothing they could do about it other than follow it or risk eventual destruction.
"What are you waiting for!? Begone from my sight, you- you abominable Divergent!"
Clara raised her voice, screaming at the top of her lungs as she clenched her fists and cried out.
Davis shuddered ever so lightly. He had never seen her raise her voice this much. Her voice was never this intense or loud, even during training using Mandate Laws, but now, it struck him like a spear, stabbing into his heart.
His expression churned as he glared at her with intense emotions.
"Is that so? I don't need a little sister who's disobedient."
"…!" Everyone noticed a black-white stone appear in his grasp.
"Die!"
Davis shot towards Clara, unleashing a wave of death energy at the Level Nine Empyrean Stage. It was exceedingly powerful that Empyrean Miller Skyrend's scalp turned numb. He felt like this power definitely didn't belong to an Immortal King, causing him to look at the rumored treasure in his hands that sent Autarch Yulan Nazarin defeated.
Fortunately, he was in the forefront while Clara was in the back. He quickly reacted, putting himself before the attack as his flames surged.
"Stop him!" At the same time, the other Heaven's Warriors shouted.
Autarch Yulan Nazarin appeared before Clara and retreated with her.
*Fsssh~*
However, the looming mist of death energy couldn't be stopped.
"Bastard, you promised you wouldn't harm her!"
Empyrean Miller Skyrend shuddered as the death energy made contact with his hand. He could sense his finger turning black before the life in his cells rapidly extinguished and turned into nothing but dust, causing him to retreat rapidly with the others.
"I only said I wouldn't stop her if she were to stab me. Didn't you hear properly?"
Davis's cold voice echoed out, his figure clad within the deadly raid of death clouds.
In his right hand was the black-white stone, the Forged Fragment of the Tablet of Life and Death, but from within his soul, Fallen Heaven's energy churned out, supplying the black-white stone with its energy.
It was unknown what kind of reaction it would cause in the bubble of fate, but it appeared like Davis couldn't care less anymore as he went all out!
