Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4129: Thousand Windblades' Wrath

"What a terrifying rabbit…"

Fenren sighed.

He was aware of her power, but she just took out seven Grand Elders, the infamous Nine Demonwinds of the Verdant Vale Sect, like it was nothing while being a clone. He was sure their powers had reached Level Six Autarch Stage and even the peak when they unleashed their Divine Techniques.

They even tried to decisively flee as they unleashed their escape techniques.

However, Illumina's illusory avatar was still able to give chase and kill them.

A rabbit gave off the feeling of ultimate yin, but she gave him the feeling of bloodthirstiness. He wondered if his friend Davis would be able to tame this natural killer.

Illumina returned with seven heads dangling behind her as they circled. None of them seemed to have a semblance of life in their eyes.

Naturally, Illumina had hidden one of her clones in the flying ship. She never bothered to reveal herself unless they needed to because this was supposed to be their mission. Still, she wasn't capable of taking on Realm Master Thousand Windblades, so she hadn't shown herself.

However, she had told Fenren to inform Calypsea to do her thing as she couldn't see a winning outcome if Realm Master Thousand Windblades remained here, so Fenren came to know that she was here. He wasn't surprised, but the others were naturally surprised.

"Damn you, Illumina. You're taking away our achievements." Shentu cried out.

"That's right." Wougen calmly uttered, but his expression was slightly disappointed, "Even if we couldn't beat them, we could've at least made one move against them. It is a bit lackluster that we did not get the right opponents during this mission. No contributions, no improvements."

He grunted exasperatedly.

"I should get some contribution for merely existing, right?" Reian Stargazer's lips curled.

As a Void Piercer Rat, he was extremely prideful and, at the same time, knew that his fleeing ability made the enemies hesitate a few times, which gave them ample time and choices to move.

Illumina kept the heads inside her spatial rings where their bodies were. These were precious resources that would help magical beasts improve a lot. Nonetheless, her expression didn't change as she addressed them, "Everyone will receive contribution points for participating because no one knows what would've happened. You're all laying your lives equally, so the base amount of contribution points awarded and if the mission is successfully completed, that should be enough to get what you want."

"Yes!" Wougen and Shentu cheered.

They felt the need to enter King Tier soon so they didn't lose out to the others. Reian Stargazer also smirked. He indeed wanted to enter King Tier badly since he felt like he would become even more uncatchable.

"And no need to fear about not getting enough contribution points for other resources."

Illumina continued, "One of my clones barely managed to reach me. We, the other two teams, are in a battle against hundreds of Heaven's Warriors with different cultivation bases in the northeastern sector of the Verdant Vale Lower Realm, so there should be enough time to get their battle to your heart's content." "Yes!!!"

Wougen and Shentu roared again. It could be seen this pair of ox and tiger were battle maniacs.

Soon, their flying ship began traversing towards the northeastern region after getting out of the valley.

"Do you think little Calypsea is safe?" Fenren asked. He frowned, "Davis would beat me to death if something happened to her."

"I don't know. My clone hasn't gotten to them yet." Illumina replied.

"I see. But since you were here, I think it's fine. We'll meet up with them. Nothing would happen to them."

Illumina kept silent.

Her clone had a severe weakness and that was not having enough energy. After she used ten or so normal techniques, she would disappear. She had already used eight techniques. There were only one or two left, depending on how she used her energy. This was also one of the reasons she didn't show herself easily.

As for Calypsea, she had heard that she was nearly unkillable as her apocalyptic flames were very difficult to extinguish. Even if her form dispersed, Myria theorized that she could revive from a mere spark.

It could be the next day or when the realm began to collapse again. They didn't know how her flame worked due to karma being involved.

Nonetheless, she knew it wasn't easy to kill Calypsea. She had entered the Level Two Empyrean Stage and was even more powerful than her. Her apocalyptic flames were terrifyingly powerful. When she entered the Empyrean Stage, she left a huge patch of charred ground. It was a huge piece of evidence saying that they were right here on their tribulation grounds.

They had buried it in the sands, but they couldn't clear it.

They could only hope no one passed through that area.

'Calypsea's life and death is one thing to worry about but they care more about her upbringing...' Illumina could only smile wryly.

It seemed that with one little mistake, Calypsea could burn them all to death. She was a true calamitous menace in nature but most importantly, still a child, after all. She could playfully burn them to death and be unaware of the implications.

A few minutes later, Realm Master Thousand Windblades secretly appeared in the valley they had left. His expression couldn't be any more vile and threatening as he looked around, intending to take revenge.

But no matter how he searched, he couldn't find them.

"Where are they!?" He growled.

He couldn't find his Demonwind group either. When he took out his sect master talisman and used it to sense the life aura emerging from the tablets in the Life Tablet Hall in his sect, his expression changed.

It seemed none of them had survived.

His expression turned unsightly, but when he recalled that little apocalyptic spirit, he couldn't help but tremble in fear. Looking at his right shoulder and waist, which seemed to have been severed by himself to get rid of the apocalyptic flames, he inwardly groaned in pain.

Whenever he tried to heal himself, those apocalyptic flames suddenly burst into existence and then continued to burn him, leaving him no choice but to leave his injuries like that. It just won't extinguish.

He clenched his teeth and decided to leave the realm. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to heal himself since he figured being in range with that spirit in terms of distance was what caused this phenomenon.

*Bang!~*

Just as he almost reached the edge of the realm, he suddenly shuddered violently, hitting a mountain peak headfirst.

"What…?"

He climbed out and looked in the direction of the Verdant Vale Sect. He appeared unharmed by the collision, but his expression was severely trembling as he could no longer sense the Realm Core's blessings.

"There's no way the Realm Core is already consumed… right…?"

Realm Master Thousand Windblades quivered in his boots, his expression aghast. He had planned to receive aid from Heaven's Warriors and mount a comeback, but he could no longer feel the connection with the Realm Core! Even if he managed to successfully mount a comeback, what was the use!?

He lost all hope and began to think that the Verdant Vale Lower Realm was finished and that it would soon be consumed by apocalyptic flames or collapse! He hurriedly turned around and fled the realm with the fastest speed he could muster!
