Chapter 4425: – A Robbery

Time passed.

The third year, the eighth month of the Covenant.

In the inheritance lands of the Nine Yin Petal Secret Realm, the massive gate finally opened, allowing a number of people to exit. Not only were they clad in robes of blue adorned with black yin petals, but they all possessed cold and detached outlooks, seemingly caring about nothing.

However, they all looked at one person without fail, seemingly wanting to say something but having an expression that seemed to say that they still couldn’t care less.

It was a woman.

She stood at the forefront, the icy wind subtly parting around her form as though the very mini realm acknowledged her presence. Her figure was graceful yet imposing, clad in flowing white and black robes laced with yin-petal motifs.

The robes fluttered like glacial mist. Her skin was like porcelain pale, and her lips were devoid of color—faintly white, as though blood had long since forgotten to warm them. Her long, inky black hair was bound in a high, intricate knot, snow crystals caught in its folds like frozen stars.

However, her eyes… were empty.

No, they didn’t look lifeless but transcendent, imbued with a cold stillness that saw beyond mortality. They shimmered faintly with yin essence, carrying authority, and in her presence, all others instinctively felt smaller.

She turned slowly, gaze brushing across the group behind her. The disciples who had once trained beside her suffered trials as they fought against her, and now, despite their cold facades, regarded her with a subtle reverence… perhaps even fear.

There was little to no doubt that she had surpassed them.

She turned to look at her fellow disciples, her white lips moving.

“From now on, you will all address me as the Forsaken Yin Divine Priestess. The words I speak will become your Will. You will not go against me no matter the situation and continue to revere me as your Divine Priestess.”

“Yes~”

They responded as one, their tones flat yet obedient, devoid of defiance. Even those who had once hoped to rival her now bowed their heads, crushed by the weight of her authority and the sheer frigid aura that rolled from her being like a tide of eternal winter.

Though the trials had ended, her transformation was complete. She had walked deeper into the path of severance than any of them.

In fact, their reverence slowly gathered to transform the air around her, making her shine with brilliance.

The woman said nothing else.

She turned around and flew away. The others didn’t even bother to look at each other. Like migratory birds, they followed the leader of the pack without saying a word.

But halfway through their journey, their path was suddenly blocked by a group of women.

“Halt!~”

Natalya hovered as she threw a hand forward, appearing like she was at a traffic stop. She suddenly gasped and acted surprised.

“Wait a minute. I see you have a shining, sparkling, icy, pristine, demure spatial ring. Could it be that it is the inheritance ring?”

Her voice echoed in a melodious manner.

However, it instantly caused all the disciples to collectively frown as though they couldn’t stand her presence.

“None of your concern, failure of our sect.” The woman calmly yet arrogantly uttered.

“Ehh? Failure? I don’t see myself that way.” Natalya pouted, “Hansyra, I know you were a pretty powerful foe, but I honestly didn’t expect you to win the inheritance. I expected more along the lines of Rahalui or Seiren or even my old rival, Yuren. What happened to you? You failed after all that talk?”

Natalya turned to look at Yuren.

“…”

Yuren’s expression looked indifferent. However, one could see the faint ripple in her eyes as they shook.

“I didn’t manage to win. However, that doesn’t mean that I am not more powerful than you.”

“Aha~” Natalya giggled, “You people are always funny, acting indifferent yet full of emotions hidden at the bottom of your heart. Why don’t you all just erase your soul if you want to be forsaken that badly?”

“Enough.”

Hansyra coldly uttered, “If you have nothing else to say, then move. Even if you’re a failure, we still consider you a part of the Forsaken Yin Lotus Sect. From now on, you shall address me as the Forsaken Yin Divine Priestess. Do you understand?”

“Yes, Forsaken Yin Divine Priestess.”

Natalya cupped her hands, bowing before she reached a hand out with a faint smile, “Now please hand over the cultivation manual for the next grade and also the Forsaken Yin Lotus Divine Art. I will leave.”

“Earn contribution points by serving me, and you shall receive,” Hansyra said calmly and coolly.

It didn’t seem like she was lying.

Natalya wryly smiled, “I’d be willing to work to earn contribution points. However, I simply don’t want to waste my time here since I am keeping my darling waiting. Would you perhaps want to loan it to me? I’ll just copy it right here and give it back to you and settle the debt later~”

She asked smilingly, her voice sincere.

“As if a failure like you could transcribe the essence of each and every character and inscription in the manual.” Someone in the crowd coldly uttered.

Natalya cast a look at the heckler, but she didn’t say anything.

She was kind of intrigued seeing all of them together.

After all, it wasn’t like they all had the same background. Not everyone belonged to the Forsaken Yin Lotus Sect initially. Some of them came from poor families, and some of them came from rich families. Some of them even came from the Upper Realms. The sect appeared to have disciples from all over the world, making her feel quite confused.

Surely, if they had so much influence, just how did they perish all of a sudden?

Rumors were that they were vanquished and thrashed by the Vacuous Beasts and other calamities, but it really didn’t make sense to her.

“Insolent. Do you not understand what it means to be impolite to the Forsaken Yin Divine Priestess?”

Hansyra coldly asked, the air around them instantly chilling to terrifying levels.

The ones in the back moved forward, their expressions cold and indifferent, but it seemed that they were ready to take down Natalya.

The atmosphere instantly turned glacial, the biting chill cutting through the air like blades of frost. The frigid yin aura surged forward as the disciples stepped in unison, their motions eerily synchronized as though they were extensions of Hansyra’s Will.

The Forsaken Yin Lotus Manual was a yin-attributed cultivation manual. Ice-based attacks were secondary and nothing more than a compliment to what their yin nature itself displayed.

Their robes fluttered, blue-black yin petals blooming in the air like a blizzard of black snow.

Natalya… remained still. She looked calm and composed while still having an easygoing attitude.

She smiled faintly, raising her hand and twirling a lock of her soft, ink-colored hair as though she hadn’t just been threatened by a dozen Forsaken Yin Sect disciples.

In the next instant, she moved, attacking first.

Her figure danced across the skies like a breeze gliding over a frozen lake, leaving a trail of crystalline lotus petals in her wake. Each movement was elegant, each motion refined. With a twist of her waist and a flick of her wrist, she avoided a burst of yin energy, slipping between two attacks like water around stones.

“Lotus Step Mirage~” she sang, voice light and melodic.

A stream of cold-white palm strikes came from her left from a man and a woman, but she bent backward in a graceful arch, the hem of her robe catching a sparkling layer of frost. She spun on her heel, launching herself upward and planting a kick on one of the disciple’s shoulders. He flew backward like a kite snapped from its string, crashing into the others and disrupting their rhythm.

“Elegant, but still harsh~” Natalya muttered as her hand swept out.

With a single graceful arc, frost bloomed around her in layers of spinning lotus petals. They were all cyan in hue, strange, and full of strange density. The glimmer of cyan began to overtake the sky, a luminous brilliance that outshone the black-petaled yin around them.

The disciples halted in mid-air.

A strange force radiated from her, icy, yes, but also pure. This was not the frigid numbness of severance they practiced but a chilling clarity of deep passion stemming from the fusion of Yin Laws and Ice Laws, which they were well aware of since they had to face these attacks in the trials.

Even before the trials, she had showcased her skills in the secret realm and earned her the title- Cyan Lotus Ice Fairy.

From beneath her fluttering robes, a cyan lotus materialized beneath her feet, blooming silently as it hovered in the air. More petals spun around her like a silent, celestial storm, humming with the power of comprehension and balance.

The Forsaken Yin Sect disciples’ brows narrowed heavily. Although they didn’t acknowledge the way she practiced the cultivation manual, her power was undoubtedly real and stronger than anyone they had known.

They wondered if the Forsaken Yin Divine Saintess could match her, but their faith in her didn’t let them imagine a scene of defeat. They were full of confidence.

Natalya’s eyes narrowed slightly.

“My sister’s master once told me…” she whispered, her tone no longer playful but solemn, soft as falling snow.

“Remember, no lifeform could be completely indifferent. If they are, even if they are physically present, they are no longer living in this world.”

She paused, her smile coming back as her lips curled behind her veil, “I don’t know why you corpses are trying your best to live when you want to be forsaken. Just hand over the manual before this gets unsightly, will you?”
