Dragon Genesis: I Can Create Dragons

Chapter 330: Are you ready to learn?

Chapter 330: Are you ready to learn?

“What if…”

Lavinia began, coming up with a theory that wasn’t being considered before,

“You see darkness instead of souls because there are no souls.”

The instant he heard those words, Kael’s expression changed and Lavinia did not stop. Rather, she turned towards Vitaria and—

“You said that the Mindflow State allows you to sense another being’s souls, did you not?”

“They are not strictly ‘Souls’, but yes, it is something similar.”

The Fox nodded. Lavinia then turned towards Kael and—

“How are you going to sense a Soul inside of a Dream? Isn’t it obvious that there will be no souls in there?

It is obvious you won’t see anything if there is nothing to see, no?”

“But then why do I see the same darkness in Everve—”

Kael tried to counter, soon however, he stopped mid-sentence as he recalled something.

‘Everveil’s Lullaby

Mission: Learn the Truth.’

That was the System’s message, the task he was given when he entered Everveil.

Learn the Truth.

All this while, for some reason, Kael thought that learning truth meant learning about Illusions, but now…

As he heard Lavinia’s words, his thoughts began to change.

He turned towards Vitaria, who looked back at him, confused as to why her Father was making this expression, but then suddenly,

“Let’s go.”

Kael announced.

“Where?”

The Fox questioned.

“Everveil.”

Kael answered, but then—

“Father, there are still two hours before the time resets.”

Vitaria answered, confused as to why her Father was being in such a hurry, not that she was complaining, after all, she wanted to go to Everveil as well. She absolutely loved that place and the people there.

It was a Perfect World.

Kael clenched his fists in frustration as he realized it.

“Sleep for now, you can go later.”

Lavinia spoke as she gently patted his shoulder, Kael however, shook his head.

“I can’t sleep.

I…

I will train so I can access my Mindflow more efficiently than I currently can.”

He announced as he sat cross-legged and closed his eyes. Lavinia did not stop him either, she felt like it was an important moment. Instead, the Princess lay down using Kael’s legs as her pillow and continued to stare at his face in silence.

Time passed, Kael’s training continued. Two hours later, Lavinia nudged him up and with Vitaria in her arms, he walked into Everveil.

And just like he expected—

“Kael! Vitaria! You are here!”

Luna greeted them with a big smile. She had been waiting for them like she usually does. Even her greeting was the same.

“Luna!”

Vitaria instantly jumped on top of the Dreamveil Kitsune’s body excitedly, their tails rubbed against each other, showing affection.

Kael, however, was different. He greeted Luna with a light smile but his eyes continued to wander, observing everything around him.

It was the same, every single thing was the same.

“Let’s leave, shall we?”

Luna spoke with the same smile after she was done hugging and showering Vitaria with her love. Kael nodded, once again rubbing Luna’s head like he used to. For him, it had almost become a habit.

That was how many times he had done it in an exact same manner, but even then, Luna squirmed in joy before they continued their journey to Vixara’s house.

Once again, it was the same. The same people joined them on their journey, their eyes instantly lighting up as they glanced at Kael and Vitaria just like it does every single day.

Everyone left whatever they were doing and rushed towards them, showering Vitaria with love, just like they did the days before.

The same Kitsune children ran through the same glowing flower fields, laughing in a similar manner as they chased the same butterflies made of light. The same children floated in the air, bouncing on invisible clouds. Despite doing the same thing for nearly a month, the children still laughed as if it was their first time doing this.

The same group of Kitsunes danced in a circle, the same grown Kitsunes relaxed under tall trees that glowed from inside.

Same.

Every single thing was exactly the same and unlike how all this would usually impress Kael, today…

It horrified him.

“I have been waiting for you.”

“Vixara!!”

“Vixara! I missed you!!”

The Kitsunes greeted Vixara just like how they did every single day. Vixara too, shared the same enthusiasm. Once again, the Fox created food for all of them, just like she had been doing for the past month.

The Foxes ate readily without a care in the world, praising the food made in a heartfelt manner, but to Kael…

None of it made sense any longer.

More and more questions that, for some reason, he didn’t think of before continued to pop into his head.

How does a world like this exist?

How come children are always smiling?

How come Vixara’s always serving food to so many Kitsunes?

Where does she get that food from?

What does she do to earn that?

Ever since Kael came to this world, the only thing the Fox did for the past month was to greet them, offer everyone food, and then take them to Reynara.

How is it possible for someone to have so much time in their hands every single day?

With these questions filling his head, Kael was taken to Reynara.

“We are here.”

Again, Vitaria said the same words. Kael’s eyes once again fell on the almost magical temple and once again, he heard the same children’s laughter.

“Kael!!”

“Kael! You are here!”

“Kael~~”

The children rushed towards him and greeted him with the same excitement.

And then,

“You are here.”

His eyes fell on her.

“Lady Reynara.”

Kael greeted, but this time, his mind was much clearer than before. He also noticed how once again, Vixara took the children away, leaving him and Reynara alone.

It was something she had done since the first day.

“Are you ready to learn?”

Reynara questioned gently,

“Yes, I am.”

Kael answered, but this time, the look in his eyes was different.
