“We’ll help her and Jord grow stronger, we’ll elevate them to a completely new realm… and we’ll help her finally avenge her mother,” I said, as Yuki raised an eyebrow.

“Is it really necessary?” Yuki asked. “We could do it all ourselves…”

“No, she’s necessary,” I said. “She wields Jord’s powers as well, and they’re the only ones that could go against their corrupted form… of course, she’s also a special case, a talent among talents I want to raise, just like Surtr and Emerald… Triton will also be trained soon enough.”

“I don’t really see the point though… we’re already plenty strong…” Yuki rolled her eyes, sitting. “Right girls?”

“I do agree we’re a big family of strong warriors, but there’s nothing wrong with helping out other dragons,” Benladann said. “Especially when they’re this talented, and they’re so rare… we have to help the young ones that are still alive after all.”

“Yeah, my beloved wife gets it completely!” I nodded, kissing Benladann in her cheek, as she giggled while blushing happily. “I want to protect this world, Yuki. I love this world… I am raising powerful dragons and people, so they can protect the world alongside me. Surtr and Emerald have become so strong, I can now be sure they’ll handle just about anything that gets to Muspelheim. And above all, once a threat beyond my power appears, they can help out.”

“So Amethyst is like an investment, huh?” Yuki nodded.

“It’s not really that… don’t look at things in such a cold way…” Miranda groaned, patting her head. “You’re a bit too rough around the edges, aren’t you Yuki-chan?”

“Using Zipangu honorifics?!” Yuki glared back at her. “Well, whatever… do whatever you want! It’s not like I could ever stop a dork like you, Drake…”

“Dork?!” I gasped. “I am the Dragon King! Have some respect… I always respect you…”

“Heheh, but you’re my dork,” Yuki giggled, walking to my side and kissing my nose. “I like how you are…! I might sound harsh but… I’m just a little worried. I don’t like when people take advantage of your kindness.”

“Yuki… hah, I’m not a kid you know?” I laughed. “You’re really getting into my nerves lately… if you weren’t such a cutie, I might have gotten angrier.”

“So I’m your weakness~?” Yuki teased me even more, placing her finger over my nose, smiling teasingly.

Yes she’s my weakness, damn it!

She’s too cute and her teasing… they get me going.

“Fufu, I see what’s going on in here…” Jord giggled, covering her mouth. “Aegir, are you also one of his wives?”

“What?! No way! Never!” Aegir screamed in disbelief. “That’s… ew! Ewww!”

“You don’t have to say it like that!” I felt a little hurt, as I heard everyone else laughing.

After that, we left Amethyst sleeping and walked towards the gardens outside of the Ice Castle within my Divine Domain, the grassy plains, the snow-covered mountains, and the blue sky felt nice, we had a picnic, and Jord was also able to eat despite her strange body, so she enjoyed food for the first time while we talked more.

“So you plan to help her grow stronger and train her so she can protect this continent, and also serve as a valuable ally for the “final battle” that’s approaching… I see,” she nodded, finally seeing the whole picture. “Does this mean that you see her as some kind of “chosen one” or something?”

“I wouldn’t go that far but maybe something similar to that,” I said. “I just know she has the potential; she’s the youngest Earth and Light Dragon right? They haven’t had kids in ages.”

“Yeah… those that are alive can be counted with the palm of your hand and are all very old…” Jord nodded. “Young blood, a new generation as they saw, might be the true future. And this Triton, who was he?”

“Ah, he’s a very unique case, like Amethyst, he’s an hybrid, a Sea Dragon and also a Merman,” I explained. “Though his birth was done very uniquely… I don’t know if you could call him a proper hybrid. His egg was born from his own father’s soul, and with his mother’s blood, both mixed into his creation.”

“Incredible… he must have special abilities then, a unique existence like that… must truly be amazing,” Jord said. “Aegir, you said that you came from that island?”

“The majority of my fragments were there,” Aegir nodded while eating a giant doughnut. “Aquarius was a nice guy… That boy’s father. His mother is still alive, so she’s raising him just fine… he’s a promising youth, but way too young, he’s only like three years, or four? Around that age.”

“That young? Amethyst is at least a hundred…” Jord said.

“A hundred?!” Benladann asked, almost spitting her soda.

“Wow she’s old!” Benladra said, eating a sandwich.

“I thought she was young like us…” Kate said.

“Ah, to dragons that’s a very young age! A hundred years is nothing,” laughed Jord. “Dragons that are considered old are those that have been alive since the Primordial Era. They’re millions of years old after all. Eventually, they start to get older… and despite how strong dragons can be, if they don’t keep up a good training or cultivate continuously, age will get to them.”

“To think that’s the case… I had no idea,” I said with surprise. “Well that won’t affect me… My body is special.”

“Oh? Special? H-How?” Jord wondered, covering her mouth with surprise, wondering something else. “May I see that?”

“Enough with that, you perverted old hag!” Yuki kicked her, as Jord exploded into a pile of sand that flew by the wind.

“Eh?! How could you do that Yuki?! SISTERRRRR!” Aegir screamed, collecting the sand.

After collecting her, Jord barely kept her form, looking sad.

“O-Old hag? I am not that old aren’t I, Aegir?” Jord asked her little sister. “I’m not that old right? I’m still at my prime as a Primordial Goddess… Mama Yggdrasil is a properly old lady, not me…”

“…Cut it out already,” Aegir rolled her eyes.
