“Huh? What’s this place?”

Once we were done with Dinner, I guided Amethyst to her new room, I had picked a large unoccupied room in the Ice Castle just for her. It had a comfortable and big bed, a lot of furniture, clothes already made for her Dragonoid form, and even a refrigerator full of food.

“This is your new room from now on,” I said. “Feel free to call it your new home for the time being. You’ll have your privacy here; you can sleep and do whatever you want alone.”

“R-Really? But why go that far? I would be fine sleeping outside in the grass,” she said. “I am a dragon… I mean, we don’t really need any of these little fancy things that small people create to make up for their lack of scales or claws.”

“Hahah, well, there’s the problem there,” I said. “You’ve only been growing and living as a wild dragon, you have to have a taste of modernity and its comforts, girl! So enjoy this comfy bed, you’ll wake up really well the next morning.”

“W-Wait!” Amethyst called for me, but I closed the door, leaving her in her own room alone.

I heard her walking to the bed and sitting there and then probably resting because…

“Uwaaahh! What’s this? So fluffy… Sand has never felt this comfortable…”

It seemed she enjoyed it.

After leaving Amethyst, I quickly walked back to my room, where I slept like a log because of how exhausted I also was.

Training that girl really tired me out…

Luckily, my wives didn’t seem bothered by my exhaustion, hugging me as I slept, and I hugged them back as well.

There’s a lot to do from tomorrow onwards, but it’ll be fun.

I just hope Umbral can wait a little bit more, I am sure that his patience will pay him really well.

CLAAASH!

BOOOM!

RUMBLE!

Explosions generated by powerful weapons and auras clashing against one another reverberated across a large arid area of the desertic continent of Svartalfheim.

Close to a ruined Kingdom where Desert Elves once thrived, now full of monstrous creatures made of black miasma and curses, barely shaped like dragons, a battle was ongoing.

A battle between two powerhouses with immense strength.

A giant black dragon, overflowing with powers from both Chaos and Pandemonium, a Demon King that had terrorized this continent for years since his birth.

And a human man, with long red hair, who wielded a pair of black katanas, overflowing with curses from another dimension, which he and his people had access to.

Their Weapon Techniques, Magic, and Curses seemed to be almost on par…

But both knew that their foe was holding back, and that they had even yet to see the full strength of each other.

“RAAAHHH!”

“HAAAAH!”

The Dragon’s Black Axe clashed against the human’s Black Katanas, as an explosion of Cursed Energies erupted, piercing the night sky and clearing any cloud in the distance at once.

BOOOMMM!!!

The explosion was so massive that a gigantic crater was left beneath their feet, as both the dragon and the human stared at one another with smirks.

“Hmph, your strength appears to be the real deal, and that’s including the fact we had yet to even start fighting seriously…” the human said, his bright blue eyes dazzling beneath the moonlight.

He wore black and blue samurai armor, and right behind him there was an army of thousands of soldiers, most of them riding giant Yokai Beasts and even rudimentary-looking tanks made of cursed wood, metal planks, and packed with deadly cannons.

This warrior was certainly not alone, but he was a representative to a whole army, to a nation, and this battle would decide their fate as he faced against one of the strongest beings in this world, a being known as a “Dragon” and a “Demon King”.

“Heh… I’ve got more where that came from, pitiful human…” the black dragon smirked, his sharp crimson eyes spiraling maniacally. “And yet… I smell some hesitation from you. Don’t tell me, have you finally considered my offer? After you’ve seen my strength, and what I could do to you?”

“Hmmm, certainly, a battle against you was not within my plans today, dragon,” the human sighed. “My Emperor said that I had to do anything in my power to conquer this land and bring him its resources… and our goals align somewhat.”

“This Emperor of yours… is he strong?” the black dragon asked.

“Strong would be an understatement,” laughed the human warrior. “My Emperor his much more than “strong”, he’s a man “beyond”. He has long ago surpassed the boundaries of a mortal, becoming the vessel of a demon that brought the world’s era to an end, and started a new one. It was through his power and connections that Amaterasu was killed, and Zipangu became ours. This Curse within me and my troops, this is the power we took from the goddess. Strong right? I see you’re interested, dragon.”

“…I am,” smiled the black dragon. “I am a sucker for Curses, I find them… fascinating. And one from another world surely is even more!”

“I can see that, seeing how you ate a hundred of my men and around three hundred of my Yokai,” the red-haired samurai smiled confidently, as he sheathed his katanas. “Before we make a deal, I want to ask you something, dragon.”

“Hmm?” the black dragon raised an eyebrow, his dark powers flowing through his body, he had yet to lower his guard.

However, that the samurai did so mean that he was actually confident on his strength to that point… and the dragon could immediately tell as well that his opponent was not just baseless words, he was the real deal.

The humans from that Zipangu world truly fascinated him, especially their energy, the Essence of Heaven and Earth, and the Curse of the Fallen Goddess of the Sun, which they carry to further empower their bodies and equipment to immensely high levels.

He had a taste of both recently, and he wanted more… and yet, he knew that he couldn’t really afford to waste his resources and energy when the Dragon King had arrived in the continent.
