Chapter 394: Checking On Your Cultivation Progress
Chapter 394: Checking On Your Cultivation Progress
When Jiang He became immortal on the third of January in the year 2021, the various immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemon cultivators were all stunned—the Mahayana cultivators who had lived over two thousand years were especially green-eyed!
After living for over two millennia to the present day, they had intended to use the opportunity of the Revival of Qi to prove their Dao and become immortal, but they did not imagine that they would be overtaken by Jiang He, who had cultivated for less than half a year!
At present, information about Jiang He was no secret to these cultivators, since Jiang He himself did not try to hide it. Moreover, news outlets would report his feats on a major scale, and anyone descend to the mortal realm for information would learn about Jiang He’s growth.
On that night, Jiang He held a private banquet at his house. His close friends, as well as the people from the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, the Taixu Xect, and the Jiuhua Sect all came to congratulate him.
It was in the wee hours of the morning when the banquet was over, and everyone else had left, with only Wang Siyu remaining at Jiang He’s house...
While Sora, Boa Hancock, and the seven fairy maidens cleaned up, Hu Mei poured Wang Siyu a drink and said sweetly, “Please have some of this tea, Missus.”
At first, Wang Siyu was feeling a little bitter when she saw so many beautiful ladies hanging around Jiang He’s house, but she beamed widely at the word ‘missus’ and replied, “Thank you... hey, I’ve never seen you around before... Oh!”
It was only then that Wang Siyu saw the nine tails behind Hu Mei’s back. Recoiling from the surprise, she exclaimed in shock, “Are you a daemon?”
“Yes, I am indeed a daemon fox, Missus.” Hu Mei answered tamely.
Wang Siyu then stared closely at Hu Mei’s tails and asked, “Nine tails? Could you be the Nine-Tailed Fox spoke of in legends?”
Hu Mei nodded.
“May I touch them?”
“Sure.”
Fox and human were soon acquainted and having a lively conversation, with Wang Siyu exclaiming in surprise once more when she learned of Hu Mei’s age. “Wow... you’re already over three thousand years old, sister? But your skin looks no different from an eighteen-years-old’s... Does the daemons have special skincare technique?”
Jiang He was speechless.
He was quite amused.
What do you even mean by ‘special skincare technique’?
Daemon foxes were synonymous with beauty. Moreover, having cultivated to Hu Mei’s level, her stylishness was certainly indisputable.
Still, since Wang Siyu mentioned it, Jiang He remembered that the Taixu Sect had gifted him with the recipes for youth pellets and beauty pellets. So, he promptly smiled, “The looks of daemon cultivators rarely change after they reach Daemon Pellets. Hu Mei’s appearance would stay this way since it was how she looked when she ascended, or she would have been filled with wrinkles if she ascended as an old vixen.”
Wang Siyu appeared very envious then, while Hu Mei retorted coquettishly, “You are so horrible, Master! Your humble servant would never want to be your wife.”
Ignoring Hu Mei, Jiang He then told Wang Siyu, “I’ve recently been practicing pellet refinement, and happen to have some medicinal ingredients to prepare some youth pellets and beauty pellets. You can remain youthful forever then.”
“Really?”
Wang Siyu was beside herself in joy.
Which woman would not prefer to be beautiful, after all?
“Of course.”
Jiang He studied Wang Siyu from head to toe at that, and his tone changed and he asked, “Your cultivation hasn’t slow down either... already full-fledged rank-nine? What about the immortal arts I gave you to cultivate with last time?”
“Immortal arts are too difficult.”
Wang Siyu flashed a pained smile and sook her head. “I can’t even get started even though I had studied it for a long time.”
“Well, becoming a cultivator is quite demanding on one’s talent and spirit roots. It wouldn’t matter if you couldn’t cultivate it, and martial arts would not lose out to immortal arts anyway. In fact, you could move cosmic bodies after you cultivate martial arts to its limit and gain longevity as well, so come upstairs with me and I’ll check on your cultivation progress.’
Wang Siyu’s cheeks went red at that.
How could she not know what Jiang He was scheming?
Checking on her cultivation progress?
That was what he said the last few times, and just minutes after he started ‘checking’, he started tugging on her clothes and pushing himself on her... Argh, it was so embarrassing.
Regardless, they went upstairs.
Soon, sounds of Jiang He ‘checking on’ Wang Siyu’s cultivation progress could be heard... that was, sounds of smacking and Wang Siyu’s moans.
Jiang He might have been spanking her because her cultivation was lacking.
It took a long time for the sounds to fade.
As Jiang He wrapped his hands around Wang Siyu in the room, he explained, “Cultivating from rank-nine to divine-tier in martial arts is a pitfall. It is only by gaining strength in spirit and completely grasping one particular Boundary of Wills that you would reach divine-tier.”
“Being an Awakened with powers of mind-reading and fire control, your spirit is already stronger than ordinary martial artists’ and is plenty enough. Your sword will is almost reaching completion too, so you could try to locate the Divine Door.”
“How about this? You don’t have to go home tonight. I’ll help you ascend when you wake up tomorrow morning.”
“Okay...”
Wang Siyu replied quietly, while subtly directing her True Qi’s flow to recover her stamina. Soon, her spirit was rejuvenated, and she leveled a flirty gaze, saying, “Jiang He...”
“You’re rested?”
Jiang He laughed out loud. “Don’t throw in the towel in less than an hour and beg for mercy like you did just now.”
“Okay...”

Jiang He and Wang Siyu were only done after working out until the morning.
Having become immortal Jiang He would not tire even if he had to work out with twelve ladies for seven days and nights, let alone one night. Still, Wang Siyu was lacking and tend to fall behind when it comes to stamina, though Jiang He just had to put his hand on her chest and infuse some immortal yuan strength over, and she would be rejuvenated instantly.
“Come, let’s take a bath, and I’ll help you ascend after that.”
They went downstairs around nine in the morning, and Jiang He took Wang Siyu to his farm after breakfast.
It was the first time she got there, and surprise was all over her face at the sight.
Jiang He smiled as he explained, “This is a space I got by coincidence. The fields are all spirit soil that could nurture all kinds of soul corps... now come sit beneath this tree. It’s the Elder Tea Tree of Enlightenment, and cultivating in its shade boosts your progress by leaps and bounds.”
However, Jiang He did not mention his System.
After all, it was his best trump card—while he did not have to hide it from Wang Siyu, the other cultivators and immortals were powerful enough to find out about it from her mind.
That problem did not apply for his pets and maids, however, since Jiang He had planted them himself. It would not escape his notice even if the Grand Luo Immortals would try to probe into their souls.
Wang Siyu hence said beneath the Elder Tea Tree of Enlightenment, and soon reached a state of enlightenment and found the Divine Door.
“Spirit, qi, and essence must be as one to charge at the Divine Door. A divine martial arists is born once you break through it, triggering the Four Retributions of the Nine Lesser Heavens. You would have ascended after surviving that.”

Far within outer space, at a massive ancient city that stood upon a colossal continental boulder, veins of immortal radiances were flying into the ancient city, where a huge warp portal stood at its heart.
There were almost a hundred immortals of varying auras standing beside it. Most were Heavenly Immortals and True Immortals, though there was also a Golden Immortal emanating Daemon Qi.
His aura was incredibly strong, and there were a dozen immortal daemons of different aura strength following him. The Golden Immortal then glared at the guardsman watching the portal, frowning as he asked, “I have been waiting here for three days. Why isn’t the portal unlocked yet?”
The guardsman was merely a Heavenly Immortal, but he did not fear the Golden Immortal daemon and replied evenly, “There are over twenty more candidates who would return to the homeworld. They have not arrived as they are still engaged in the celestial battlefield, and could only make it back around a month later.”
The immortal daemon became furious. “We still have to wait another month?”
The guardsman gave him a look but said nothing.
The cold shoulder infuriated the immortal daemon, and he promptly raised a claw at the guardsman... but that was when a frightening aura abruptly arose, and a Golden Immortal human instantly descended and repelled the Immortal Daemon with a single punch.
“Chief General!”
The many guardsmen nearby kowtowed, but the Golden Immortal human waved them off and said flatly, “At ease.”
With that, he turned to look at the Golden Immortal daemon and coldly warned, “Do not break the rules of the Holy City ever again, Fox King. You will be cut down if this happens again.”
The daemon fox snorted coolly but said nothing.
Though his clan—the Green Hill Foxes—did not boast much eminences, their backing was quite strong. Even so, the Chief General was a disciple of the Three Teachings and as the Holy City was his responsibility, the eminences of the Green Hill Foxes would not retaliate for the Golden Immortal daemon even if the Chief General slayed him.
The Golden Immortal human then turned towards the others and smiled enviously, sighing, “Ah... I envy you lot. I want to return to the homeworld as well, but the higher-ups are not letting me leave...”
“By the way...”
His tone changed as he called one of the guardsmen to him and asked, “Weren’t you saying that there are problems with the portal? What happened?”
