Chapter 1916: Chapter 1081 Endless Road and Another Imminent Battle

“Chairman, what exactly happened?”

Looking at Seveil’s rare serious face, the utterly confused Phil immediately sensed the gravity of the situation and hurriedly asked again.

“It’s still unknown at the moment.”

Seveil composed himself and furrowed his brow as he asked the Fox People general, “General Phil, did anything strange happen after the Grand Army set off?”

“Replying to Your Excellency, the winds in Eternal Sleep Canyon were calm, and nothing happened.”

As Phil gazed at the endless steel torrent behind Seveil, he couldn’t help but inquire once more, “Why did the Grand Army return to the starting point?”

“That’s not your concern; you just need to guard the camp.”

Virentin, maintaining his cold demeanor, took over the conversation, saying, “The Chairman will take care of everything.”

“It’s a critical time now, so handle everything with care.”

Seveil first advised Virentin, then nodded to the Fox People general, saying, “General Phil, leave some soldiers to guard the camp, and deploy the rest at the canyon’s exit to be on alert; make sure you secure this place.”

“Understood, Your Excellency.”

Despite being filled with doubts, the Fox People general turned his horse to carry out the orders.

“I didn’t expect we’d actually return to Eternal Sleep Canyon!”

Just as Seveil issued the command, Andre also fully confirmed that he had indeed returned to the starting point, his face twisted in a hideous anger.

“Griffon Prince, what do you think we should do next?”

The old Chairman tugged on the reins and turned to Andre, furrowing his brow to inquire.

“It’s simple, keep moving forward!”

Andre responded decisively without hesitation, “As I said before, once you draw the bow, there’s no turning back. I refuse to believe that continuously moving forward will bring us back here!”

“The Royal Highness Prince speaks rightly; the Coldflame Kingdom’s gate is within reach, so why should we retreat?”

Upon hearing this, other Saint Night commanders eagerly chimed in agreement.

“That seems to be the only way; perhaps we’ll discover something along the road.”

Seveil exchanged a glance with Virentin and agreed to Andre’s proposal.

Thus, the two issued commands for the army to resume their rapid march, deploying more scouts and elite troops along the way to search for any clues.

As the marching trumpet sounded, the mighty army moved out of Eternal Sleep Canyon and began a rapid advance once again.

However, what awaited them were vanished fortresses, unattainable passes, familiar canyons, and roads that led them back to the starting point.

By the time Seveil and Andre realized what was happening, the Fox People war flags flapped in the frontal camp, the lights shone brightly, and they realized they had returned to square one for the second time.

This time, there was a noticeable change.

The atmosphere of the army became much more solemn, even though Seveil and Andre didn’t openly speak about returning to the starting point.

Yet, after marching in circles twice, even the most oblivious soldiers began to sense that something was amiss.

Feeling the army’s morale quietly slipping away, Seveil took a deep breath and exchanged a glance with Andre once more.

The aged face full of wrinkles and the scarred face filled with fierce anger met each other’s gaze without words, both seeing disbelief and unease in the other’s eyes.

These two supreme commanders of the vast Alliance Army no longer exuded their initial ferocity and command.

They appeared deflated, as if devoid of spirit, mixed with barely controlled frustration.

In this hazy and unchanging night, their army had stayed put twice in a row, unable to figure out what was happening!

But what could be certain is this must be the work of that Otherworlder.

“What trick is that Otherworlder playing?!”

Gazing at the familiar cliffs of the canyon surroundings, Andre’s frustration became increasingly visible, and he said grimly, “It’s simply unimaginable!”

“It seems that Otherworlder is even more terrifying than we thought.”

Seveil, furrowing his white eyebrows, followed up with agreement.

From his early battles for the Orchid Federation to leading it for so many years, he had never encountered such an unbelievable situation.

“Chairman, you are…?”

This time, even Phil, who came to meet them again, was at a loss for words, only able to report that everything was still as usual.

“I refuse to accept this as fate!”

Andre’s forehead veins were popping as he spoke, “Your Excellency, why not let the army temporarily rest here? This time, let us personally lead our experts to investigate?”

“That’s a good idea. With our trump cards at hand, unless it’s a Tier 6 Expert, not even the Tier 5 Powerhouses under that Otherworlder can do anything against us.”

After a brief consideration, Seveil agreed to Andre’s proposal and nodded, saying, “How about the Griffon Prince go in the opposite direction, and I personally lead from the front? We can figure out the construction of this bizarre path.”

“Precisely my intention. Then I shall take the lead.”

Andre nodded slightly and left with a group of top-tier experts from the Saint Night Kingdom in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Seveil and Virentin quickly set off from the front once again, heading towards the end of the road.

This time, it didn’t take long before two gales swiftly swept through.
