Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1921: Chapter 1083: The Prelude to the Fortress Siege_2

The Absolute Defense Barrier covering our Fortress’s surface suddenly surged, like a calm lake stirred by a storm, waves rising violently one after another.

Under the flickering magic luminescence and rampant black smoke, the previously broad view from the city wall was completely obscured.

Everywhere the eye could see was filled with lethal colorful lights and continuous violent explosions, even the entire Fortress seemed to tremble faintly along with them.

In a trance, the endless explosions shook the heavens, the fiery light making the entire battlefield extremely dazzling, with killing aura and hostility permeating throughout, making the entire scene seem like the advent of doomsday.

Leo Ray listened to the deafening explosions as he continued to observe the battle through the gaps in the flames of war.

In front of the Sunset Fortress was an open space, and from the opponent’s densely arrayed formations, it was clear they had committed all their elite long-range forces, attempting to break our Defensive Barrier as quickly as possible.

Due to the opponent’s long-range forces being densely arrayed, and the open terrain allowing them to commit even more long-range forces, it was clear from the scene that our side was at a disadvantage.

Amidst the towering smoke, our side’s Magic Cannons and arrows were clearly inferior to the opponent’s, and of course, the Absolute Defense Barrier was also suffering more attacks.

Although it didn’t seem to have any advantage, our shining Defensive Barrier showed no signs of weakening, remaining as solid as gold and soup.

“For this battle, I took out all the mana-restoring Magic Medicine and distributed it to the magicians of the 63 Magic Towers. If the Grim Kingdom thinks they can shatter my shield with ground forces, they are bound to be disappointed.”

Leo Ray crossed his arms, already accustomed to the booming artillery nearby.

Thus, both sides were temporarily locked in a strategic standoff.

Although the vast battlefield seemed full of killing intent, smoke rising everywhere, and powerful explosions with arrows flying.

But under the protection of each side’s Absolute Defense Barrier, the millions of soldiers on both sides suffered no casualties, making the entire scene rather dramatic.

However, whether it was Leo Ray, Ellie, our generals on the city walls, or each soldier, as well as the frantically attacking Grim Kingdom soldiers below the city, all understood clearly.

Once the Absolute Defense Barrier of either side shattered, what awaited that side would be only destruction and death.

Time was passing minute by minute, the flames of war inside and outside Sunset Fortress never ceasing.

In the core of Grim Kingdom’s Central Army, Jered watched the overwhelming deadly flames ahead, frowning slightly.

Faced with the full-force attacks of 20 of the Royal Family’s most elite knight regiments and various Main Forces Corps, the Absolute Defense Barrier of Sunset Fortress showed no crumbling signs.

“That Alien Prince truly has some skill; did he really successfully stop the other lines of the army’s attacks?”

Jered frowned even more deeply, contemplating inwardly.

“Otherwise, with Sunset Fortress’s Absolute Defense Barrier, it would be impossible to withstand such a fierce attack unless he gathered Coldflame Kingdom’s elite magical power here.”

“But how did that Alien Prince stop the other annihilating forces? It’s simply baffling.”

Just as Jered looked puzzled, the Saint King lazily glanced at him, speaking: “What is it? My most loyal Holy Knight Commander, are you afraid?”

“Your Majesty, why would you say that? I have no fear at all!”

Jered quickly kneeled on one knee, saluted with his hand on his chest, and said, “That Alien Prince is merely making his last struggle; no kingdom can withstand my Grim Kingdom’s million-strong army.”

“Good to know. Then, it’s time to reveal my first trump card.”

The Saint King lightly waved his hand, a sneer appearing on his noble and aged face, and said dismissively, “It’s time to let that base Otherworlder feel the invincibility of my Grim Kingdom.”

“As you command, Your Majesty, I will prepare immediately.”

Jered respectfully stood up and instantly disappeared as a shadow from the Saint King’s presence.

The continuous Magic Guided Cannon fire still raged against both sides’ Defensive Barriers, but within Grim Kingdom’s camp, a deadly undercurrent was silently brewing.

“Lord, don’t you feel something is amiss?”

On the city wall, Ariel Watson looked at the dazzling magic radiance and continually deflected arrowheads on the Defensive Barrier ahead, frowning at Leo Ray, “The opponent’s Battle Airship troops remain on alert and seem not intending to advance and attack.”

“It’s obvious now; it seems they have more than just the Battle Airship troops as trump cards.”

Leo Ray nodded slightly and responded, “The enemy is powerful. If they want to maintain this high morale, they won’t let this stalemate last too long; it seems they will soon play a new trump card.”

“The Lord’s words are true, though this passive situation is indeed uncomfortable.”

Ariel Watson sighed softly, furrowing her brow.

“Being as steady as a mountain and striking after the opponent may not be as satisfying as preemptively striking, but it can often deliver a fatal blow to the opponent.”

Leo Ray smiled slightly, easing his inner tension while saying to Ariel Watson, “As I said, as long as we endure this life-and-death battle, Grim Kingdom will face insurmountable ruin.”

Just as Leo Ray and Ariel Watson conversed, the brewing undercurrent below finally surfaced, and a change occurred.

Suddenly, golden light erupted in the open area between the enemy’s Vanguard and Central Army.

A gigantic Golden Magic Circle appeared, bright and eye-catching, even overshadowing the continuous magic cannon fire’s luminescence on both sides.

To the astonishment of those on our city wall, a semi-transparent Giant, taller than the city wall and gleaming with golden light all over, quickly materialized within the magic array.

As soon as the Giant took shape, it raised its enormous fist, like a wooden house, leapt from the ground, causing earth-shaking tremors, an astonishing momentum.

Since all this happened in the blink of an eye, by the time Leo Ray reacted.

The Golden Giant had already leaped over the enemy’s Vanguard, out of the enemy’s Absolute Defense Barrier, and came charging straight at us.

“Aim at that Golden Giant, don’t let it near the Fortress!”

Leo Ray had no hesitation and immediately gave new orders.

For a moment, our archers and Magic Artillerymen immediately turned their direction, pouring dense attacks towards the opponent.

However, whether it was dense arrows or powerful magic cannon fire, they only left empty holes on the opponent’s vast semi-transparent body, piercing straight through.

The Golden Giant, though pierced with numerous holes, quickly restored itself, its enormous fist already fiercely slamming towards our Fortress.

Boom!

A thunderous roar erupted, and the enormous Fortress clearly shook a bit.

Caught off guard, although the Golden Giant’s fist only smashed fiercely against the Absolute Defense Barrier.

Yet, the thousand of our soldiers near that giant fist instinctively sat down in panic, causing a stir on the city wall.

Subsequently, the second and third punches also fell fiercely at the same spot, making the entire city wall immediately become chaotic.

Our subsequent attacks, whether magic or arrows, still passed through the Giant’s body like striking a water curtain, evidently causing no effective damage.

“What, what kind of monster is this?”

Ariel Watson looked up at the Giant’s massive head with a trembling voice.

“Even both physical and magical attacks have little effect?”

And Leo Ray keenly noticed.

With the sudden appearance of the Golden Giant, it not only threw our city wall into chaos instantly.

But the part of the Absolute Defense Barrier being repeatedly hit by the opponent also dimmed noticeably.

If this continues, without the opponent’s Battle Airship troop moving, our Absolute Defense Barrier might be smashed to pieces by the opponent.

The consequences would naturally be disastrous.

Thinking of this, Leo Ray tightly clenched his fists, yet felt utterly helpless.
