Extra's Death: I Am the Son of Hades
Chapter 624 - 624: You Will Help Supreme Of VoidThe Witch flew into the air.
As he was following her, he looked back at the giant Flame Sword.
Lonely.
That was what the Witch had called the sword.
It was covered in cracks, and no other Flame was near it, as if avoiding it.
‘It’s far from lonely,’ Nameless Death thought as he recalled the centuries in the other Cosmos.
A smile appeared on his face.
While it might take a while, he would definitely go back, and meet everyone.
The Witch and Nameless Death stopped in the skies.
She looked at him with a scrutinizing gaze.
“I thought you would be more angry with me. I refused you, after all.”
“There is no reason for me to be angry with you just because you aren’t sharing what is yours.”
The knowledge the Witch had belonged to her. If she didn’t want to share it, then Nameless Death would accept the choice.
“So are you ready?” she asked.
“Yes,” he replied.
Nameless Death would be lying if he said he was not curious. Why was she so confident he would help Supreme of Void after receiving the answer?
Light spilled from the open palms of the Witch.
It swallowed her and Nameless Death.
They appeared in the sky. Far below, they could see the land covered in red mist — Chaos Elementals.
The Chaos Elementals were slowly disappearing.
On the ground, Zagreus and Nameless Death were panting heavily.
“We did it. We saved the Site,” Zagreus said through his uneven breath. “The Berserker’s influence is gone. Now, we just need to breathe life into this planet.”
The Witch and the Nameless Death who were floating in the sky looked at the brother below. The true Nameless Death frowned.
“Is this the vision of future?”
“No, it is a simulated future. To be exact, I’m showing you what would happen if you succeeded in helping Zagreus,” she answered. “Now pay attention.”
Zagreus muttered, “Well, there is still a lot of—”
“Hmm, this is surprising,” said a figure that suddenly appeared next to Zagreus.
He had a lean figure with green metallic skin, and a crystal-tear shaped head. He had a humanoid figure, and his presence was regal.
The most eye-catching thing about him were his eyes. His pupils were the shape of a snake biting its tail.
The snake seemed alive. It continued to eat its tail, but it never ran out of the thing to eat.
“Who are you?” Zagreus asked, frowning. He had an ominous feeling upon seeing this new ‘person’.
“Oh, I apologize for ignoring you.” The man bowed. “I have just read the memories of this place. You were the ones who helped us find this location.
“For that, you have my gratitude. I am… I am an Eternal,” he answered with his title instead of his name since hearing his name would kill Zagreus.
“Now, I apologize again, but I will speak to you after completing my work here,” said the Eternal.
The snakes in his eyes shined and he looked around.
“So many Ashes….”
The Eternal raised his hand. A golden glow materialized around his arm and transformed into golden snakes.
They were slithering around his forearm.
He stretched his palm and pointed it forward. Then, the Eternal twisted his arm in the opposite direction.
“Stop….” Zagreus said. He had a bad feeling about the Eternal. “I—”
“Please rest for a while.”
As soon as the Eternal said that, Zagreus and the Nameless Death – the one from the vision – fell to the ground, unconscious.
Eternal kept looking around.
His hand suddenly stopped.
“What is this? These Ashes here are related to the creation of the Universe?”
A frown appeared on the Eternal’s face.
“Hmm, pruning this place will create a lot of trouble in timeline. I would have to reset the whole universe to the very beginning.
“No, even a reset is useless. Since these Ashes are required for this universe’s creation, without them it would never be born.”
The Eternal’s frown worsened.
Pruning the Ashes he found there meant the erasure of the Universe.
However…
“I suppose, this Universe would’ve had to end prematurely.” He shook his head.
Then, finally, he turned his hand again, and everything went black.
Nameless Death was stunned. He didn’t realize but his back was covered in sweat.
“What was that?” he asked the Witch.
“The universe was erased by the Eternal.”
“Why?”
“He said that, no? Because of the Ashes — the statues you saw in the Sites. Those things must not exist, and as such the Eternals erase them.”
She smiled, and continued,
“The Supreme of Void is hiding the Sites by covering them in his Elementals because of that. If the Ashes are found, then the universe would be erased.”
“They… that…”
Nameless Death had no words. His heart was pounding wildly in his chest. The universe would be destroyed?
Just like that?
Why didn’t the Universal Will do anything? What about the Supremes?
“They can’t do anything,” she answered as if reading his mind. “Why else do you think they never reported the existence of Ashes to the Eternals?
“Because they knew that once Eternals found them, they would prune these Ashes that led to the creation of the Universe, and everything would end.”
“I… see…”
Nameless Death still found everything hard to believe.
Could the Universe be destroyed just like that?
The Eternal twisted his palm in anti-clockwise direction, and that was enough?
‘Calm down,’ he told himself. ‘There is a chance she is lying to me.’
“Oh right. You might think I’m lying or you still might not feel like helping the Supreme of Void. And I don’t care about that.
“I did my part of the contract. What you do from here is your choice alone.”
She looked at him in the eyes, enjoying his confusion.
“You can leave now, Nameless One.”
A door appeared behind Nameless Death.
He looked at the door, then at the Witch. Knowing she won’t give him any answer, he clicked his tongue, and flew to the door.
As soon as he touched it, he was back to the Voraka Site.
He appeared beneath the White Hole.
