Chapter 1222: 1221 Ten Years Rent

“How much are you buying, just one room?”

Gu Kai’s lips curved into a smile that spread along his handsome features, reaching his eyes.

He suddenly looked strikingly handsome, stunning Bai Yiyi momentarily with his smile.

“I plan to buy three rooms on the second floor, that should be enough to live in. The money here can cover the down payment, and I’ll pay the rest in installments to you.”

Gu Kai took the card from her hand, looked at it for two seconds, tossed the card on the table, and arrogantly said, “Bai Yiyi, why should I sell the second floor to you?”

“You don’t have to sell, I’ll just move out.”

Bai Yiyi wasn’t angry; instead, she looked at him with a mocking smile.

If it weren’t for Tongtong, she would not have considered moving in.

Gu Kai’s face lost its smile, quickly turning grim: “You’re being unreasonable. Tongtong is my daughter, and the villa was meant for her to live in. How about this, you pay me rent monthly, and I’ll lease the house to you. When Tongtong turns eighteen, the property will be transferred to her name. I won’t sell it to you.”

“Rent?”

Bai Yiyi’s brow furrowed slightly. Renting was not as secure as buying; owning it would mean she could live as she wished.

But with renting, what if this man, on a whim, decided to trouble her?

As if reading her mind, Gu Kai casually said, “Don’t worry. For Tongtong’s sake, I definitely won’t trouble you. That place is Tongtong’s home. You’re just paying the rent to Tongtong, and I’m merely managing it for her.”

With that, he picked up the card from the table again, and with a grin, asked, “What’s the PIN?”

“Why should I tell you?” Bai Yiyi asked displeasedly, since it’s just rent, why should she tell him the PIN, was she supposed to pay him hundreds of thousands all at once?

“Rent, a one-time payment for ten years of rent. You’ll feel secure, and later we’ll sign a rental agreement, then you don’t have to worry about me kicking you out.”

“Dream on, paying ten years of rent all at once, no way.”

Bai Yiyi reached out to grab her card.

Gu Kai raised an eyebrow, lifted his arm above his head, Bai Yiyi stood up, and Gu Kai also stood up and backed away two steps, watching her with a smirk and spoke triumphantly, “Bai Yiyi, you can’t get it, just tell me, what’s the PIN?”

“That’s all my family’s money in there, if I give it all to you, how will I support my family?”

“You just said you’d give it to me.”

Gu Kai’s smile deepened, looking at the card in his hand, he cheerfully said, “You leave the card with me, I won’t spend a penny, just consider it as saving money for Tongtong’s future dowry.”

“Crazy, Tongtong is still so young.”

Bai Yiyi rolled her eyes coldly, seeing Gu Kai was unwilling to return it, she didn’t try to grab it again, “The password is Tongtong’s birthday.”

“Alright, I’ll keep it.”

Gu Kai chuckled twice, took out his wallet nonchalantly, and put the card in his wallet.

“I will prepare the contract tomorrow.”

Sitting back down, Gu Kai added cheerfully.

Bai Yiyi silently pursed her lips, too lazy to bother with him any longer, turned around, and walked toward the living room.

“Where are you going?”

Behind her, Gu Kai called out to her, Bai Yiyi didn’t look back, “I’m going to find Ranran and also see if Tongtong has woken up.”

The four little ones had played all afternoon and then fell asleep together.

“You might get kicked out by Mo Xiuchen if you go in now.”

Gu Kai scoffed, his tone carrying a mix of coldness and mockery.

Bai Yiyi turned her head and looked at him puzzled: “Why would Mo Xiuchen kick me out?”

“Don’t go and disturb their good moment. He hates it the most when someone interrupts his alone time with Ranran. Anyone who disturbs him will be resented.”

Gu Kai stood up, walked over, grabbed Bai Yiyi, and seated her back in the chair, “Mo Xiuchen and Ranran will come out when they’re ready.”

On the second floor,

“Mo Xiuchen, I heard Ziyi crying.”

Just as Mo Xiuchen was about to enter, Wen Ran suddenly heard a cry coming from the next-door nursery. A clear sense of awareness pierced through her blank mind, and her previously hazy eyes now filled with worry.

Mo Xiuchen frowned, although reluctant to stop at this moment, he knew in his heart that he couldn’t compare with those little darlings.

With a muffled curse, he got up from her.

“Mo Xiuchen, wait for tonight, when the three little ones are asleep, I’ll make it up to you.”

Seeing his frustrated mood, Wen Ran couldn’t bear it, sat up, wrapped her arms around his waist, and buried her little face in his chest.

Mo Xiuchen affectionately kissed her forehead, “Alright, you can make it up to me tonight.”

After having children, the only downside was that at crucial moments, at least four times out of ten, they would be interrupted, thus Mo Xiuchen cherished every moment he spent with Wen Ran all the more.

Gu Kai’s phone rang, he took it out to look, and said to Bai Yiyi, “It’s Mo Xiuchen, must be those little ones waking up, let’s go in and see.”

“You just said not to disturb them, didn’t you?”

Bai Yiyi glanced at him sideways and stood up.

“If it weren’t for those little ones waking up, do you think Mo Xiuchen would call us to go in?”

Gu Kai knew Mo Xiuchen best, knowing that he was ruthless to even his kin, and meant well to warn Bai Yiyi, who evidently didn’t appreciate it.

The two walked into the living room, where Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran were coming downstairs with Momo and Tongtong, followed by two nannies, one holding Xin Xin and the other holding Ziyi.
