As Sun Jichen went to his knees and pleaded for mercy, Ping Chao himself was dumbfounded.
"Are you for real?" Ping Chao glanced at him in disgust. "You're afraid of a mere owner that relied on the support of the royal family?"
Given how he wasn't highly appreciated in the Ping Clan, Ping Chao naturally wouldn't have thorough information regarding Jiang Ming's identity.
Thus, he only saw Jiang Ming as the owner of Moon Bazaar by relying on princess Bing Tong and nothing else. He merely believed Jiang Ming was a lackey or puppet for the royal family.
Meanwhile, Sun Jichen was on the verge of crying when the idiot young master he chose to follow was beyond hopeless.
'Goddamn idiot, why are you still provoking this death god?' Sun Jichen cursed inwardly as he ignored Ping Chao's scolding.
So what if he continued to scold him? In less than a few days, he might probably be dead with his corpse rotting by then.
"Sir Jiang Ming, I really had nothing to do with this. Spare this lowly life already." Sun Jichen begged Jiang Ming, proclaiming his innocence in this matter. He was always trying to avoid the Moon Bazaar, so why would he suddenly come out here to mess with him.
Jiang Ming found it hilarious to see the previous arrogant Sun Jichen person becoming this timid and cowardly.
As they say, only when someone encounters real troubles, would one ever change their personality and behavior.
"Alright, you can scram already. I'm a reasonable man, so I know you have nothing to do with this," Jiang Ming waved his hand and let him off. There wasn't any huge enmity between them, to begin with.
So long as Sun Jichen knows his place, he could continue to leech off other ignorant young masters. Though he really needed to choose a worthy one instead of Ping Chao.
"Thank you," Sun Jichen felt like the sun was shining onto him as he hurriedly stood up and ran far away, not even bothering to sneak a glance at the twisted face of Ping Chao.
"Hmph, a damn coward!" Ping Chao snorted coldly and no longer bothered with Sun Jichen. He was merely a lackey to him, and not anyone important. It was just that he felt like he lost his face to have a lackey be frightened by another person.
"You're Jiang Ming, right?" Ping Chao turned around and glanced at him, looking up and down. "My father told me to not mess with you yet. However, I can't seem to find any special qualities regarding you."
"Oh? So your father has warned you beforehand?" Jiang Ming raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by Ping Chao's father's warning.
'So despite being warned, he still came to provoke me?' Jiang Ming was laughing inside as he knew what to do with an arrogant man like Ping Chao.
He didn't even bother to say anything as he increased his movement speed.
And in a flash, he directly raised his legs and kicked the most precious area of a man.
CRACK!
The action was simply too fast and by the time Ping Chao realized what just happened, an adrenaline rush of pain emitted from his body.
"AHHHHH!" Ping Chao screamed in agony as he plopped to the ground with his legs crossed, his hands clutching tightly on his empty balls.
Ping Chao's eyes had turned bloodshot as he tried to suppress the ongoing pain. However, no matter how hard he tried, it would only intensify the pain. White foams started leaking out of his mouth as he wanted to faint from the pain, but couldn't.
With his loud scream, the other people that had long noticed the drama were stupefied. They were dumbfounded by the ruthless strike of Jiang Ming.
"Isn't that Ping Chao? The second son of the Ping Clan's Patriarch?"
"Holy smokes, it really is Ping Chao. His manhood has been crippled now."
When one of the crowd recognized the agonized man on the ground, they glanced at Jiang Ming, only to realize he was the recent superstar in the Central District.
He alone had publicly decapitated Chen Peizhu in front of the emperor and still got to live scot-free.
How could they not know his frightening background when the royal family didn't even bother with his public execution?
As much as they wanted to see how the scenes unfold, the people that get to live in the Central District were clever. Thus, they hurriedly fled the scene, acting completely ignorant about this matter.
ραndαsΝοvεl ƈοm One person was from the backing of the royal family while the other person was from one of the 6 powerful clans. They aren't going to side with either one of them and would prefer to wait until one side had a true winner.
It was a sad fate for those who were selling things because their business had just crumbled with this single incident. Who would still patronize them with a young master from the Ping Clan being crippled in his manhood?
Meanwhile, Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders and calmly tidied up his clothes. He didn't even bother speaking any more nonsense in front of Ping Chao since it was a waste of time.
'The 6 powerful clans are my enemies now, so this lowly Ping Chao could be sent as a warning.' Jiang Ming thought.
Sometime later, he went back to the store that sold him the mutton skewers as he asked for more. The owner of the store was scared shitless as he hurriedly gave Jiang Ming all the mutton skewers he had and didn't charge him a single cent.
It was obvious to Jiang Ming that he did not want to risk offending him.
Thus, Jiang Ming happily took all of the mutton skewers and prepared to head toward the academy. By now, he was sure Yang Liqin had contacted Yuan Chunhua, so he had no other choice but to cooperate with him.
When Jiang Ming left the Central District, some people from the Ping Clan secretly dragged the painful Ping Chao away from the scene.
Not a single complaint or word was uttered by the Ping Clan as the incident was brushed under the rug.
They were brewing some sinister and huge plot, so of course, the Ping Clan would not dare to spoil things now from an idiotic person like Ping Chao. At most, they would simply keep this debt of vengeance to heart and wait till they have succeeded in their scheme.
20 minutes later, Jiang Ming had already forgotten about Ping Chao as he entered the academy.
When those students saw Jiang Ming walking, it was like he had turned into a celebrity as each one of them was praising and saying flattery words.
Their enthusiasm was a huge headache for him since he was never prone to something like this. Most of the students were obviously trying to curry favor from him or try to increase their relationship.
That was the reality of the cultivation world. If you are a nobody, then these people wouldn't mind thrashing you further.
However, if you are an influential and famous person, then everyone couldn't wait to stomp on others to get close to you.
'I really want to kill them all,' Jiang Ming exclaimed inwardly in frustration. He hated these types of people the most, but he knew he couldn't kill them since they weren't holding a malicious intention toward him.
It wouldn't be justified for him to outright kill them because Yuan Chunhua would be the first one to throw a fit at him.
It took him a long time to finally get rid of these people as he arrived at Yuan Chunhua's office. Given Yuan Chunhua's reputation, the other students naturally didn't dare to barge into her office.
When he entered with an exhausted face, Yuan Chunhua, who had been going through some documents, stared at him with a confused expression.
"What is going on with you?" She asked in a dumbfounded tone. Ever since his demeanor had changed, this was the first time she had seen him in such a sorry state.
Jiang Ming didn't reply for a good minute as he went toward a small counter and poured himself some water to rehydrate.
"Don't mention it… Those students in the academy are like leeches. Once they latch onto you, they want to suck all of your blood dry." He said in a weak tone.
Yuan Chunhua giggled softly when she saw his dilemma. Seeing him being helpless like this reminded her of the time when she was still tutoring him properly.
During those times, she really couldn't take an eye off him because if she did, then he would have encountered some troubles in every corner. Though it was a hassle, she didn't know why she was never annoyed once.
She thought it was probably because of Yang Liqin's influence back then, but right now, she couldn't say for sure.
'What is going on in my mind?' Yuan Chunhua's eyes were fixated on Jiang Ming as she wondered silently.
