Daydreaming?

Charles felt a bit helpless. The plan he had just come up with, while not perfect, had the right general direction. At the very least, it could allow the stronger Beast Masters among the ordinary ones to successfully enter the forest.

If only Teacher Ezra hadn’t left Genosha for the Abyssal Great Wall, he could’ve just had Ezra lead him directly into the Lnfinity Lsles forest, and he wouldn’t have needed to think of any other plans.

After all, even the powerful forces of the Haunted Marsh would treat a Level 9 Beast Master with respect, allowing Charles to enter the Lnfinity Lsles forest without any issues.

Charles couldn’t be bothered to explain anything to Leonard. However, now was a good opportunity because Leonard’s loud shouting had drawn the attention of many Beast Masters in the tavern.

They were all curious about what had happened, and several were whispering to each other:

“What’s going on? Did they have a disagreement?”

“That can’t be. How would Leonard dare to clash with someone who killed two Level 6 Beast Masters?”

“I’m talking about the other guy, the one who looks like a Level 5 Beast Master.”

“Sigh, a bunch of disorganized fools. The forest is still blocked off. Us ordinary Beast Masters have no way of getting in. Instead of trying to come up with a plan, they’re arguing.”

“Exactly. Everyone knows there must be amazing treasures in that forest. If we can’t get in, we’ll just have to watch as the people blocking the forest take everything for themselves.”

“Whoever finds a way for us ordinary Beast Masters to enter the forest, I’ll follow them no matter what they say!”

Charles, calmly observing Leonard’s skepticism and listening to the murmurs of the other Beast Masters around him, spoke in a quiet, detached tone to Leonard,

“Do you think something impossible for you could be a very simple thing for someone else?”

“Sometimes, the limits of one’s imagination can be the saddest limitation.”

Leonard could no longer hold back. How could a Level 5 Beast Master possibly come up with a better plan than his? There was no other way to get in besides forcing their way through!

Even if there were, there was no way it could be something this small Level 5 Beast Master could come up with!

Leonard shouted,

“If you come up with a plan better than mine, I’ll apologize to you in front of everyone.”

“But if you have no plan at all and are just babbling here, you’ll…”

Before Leonard could finish his words, Rex’s large frame immediately stood up, his muscles flexing as he looked at Leonard with strong displeasure and said,

“What? What do you want to do to my newly made friend?”

He couldn’t just sit there and watch Leonard treat Charles like this, especially since Charles had bought him two drinks. He couldn’t ignore the fact that Charles was being bullied by someone named Leonard.

Although, in Rex’s mind, he also believed that Charles was probably just saving face when he claimed to have a better solution.

At that moment, every Beast Master in the tavern turned their attention to Charles, Leonard, and Rex, watching Rex rise from his seat. Leonard’s companions quickly stepped forward, fearing that a conflict might break out.

In the tense atmosphere, which was on the verge of escalating into a major confrontation, Charles calmly tapped the bar, looking at Soren as he said,

“Give me a glass of plain water, please. There’s a lot to discuss later, need to clear my throat.”

Soren, seeing the calm expression on Charles’s face, knew very well that Charles must have a great deal of confidence in what he was about to say.

In the tavern, Soren was the only one who didn’t doubt Charles’s words at all because he knew Charles better than these ordinary Beast Masters.

When Charles ordered a glass of plain water, everyone in the room was momentarily stunned. Such a calm action contrasted sharply with the tense atmosphere that was building up.

It was like a robbery taking place in a restaurant. Everyone else was nervously awaiting danger, but there was one person calmly enjoying his afternoon tea, completely indifferent to what was happening around him.

Charles picked up the glass of plain water from the bar, took a sip, then slowly stood up, turning around to face the ordinary Beast Masters behind him who were watching him intently.

With a calm expression, he spoke:

“Actually, I believe everyone here has some understanding of who it is that has sealed off the forest. Those people are powerful and condescending, preventing us ordinary Beast Masters from exploring the forest.”

“It seems that, besides forcing our way in, there’s no other way.”

“Is that really the case?”

Charles’s voice was calm—there was no passionate speech, no bitterness or anger. Instead, he simply laid the injustice and the facts before everyone.

It was precisely this calmness that quickly ignited the anger in the hearts of those listening. Many Beast Masters began to breathe more heavily, their fists tightening instinctively. They didn’t fully understand why Charles was saying these things, but their emotions were undeniably stirred!

Next, in the midst of Leonard’s incredulous expression, Charles slowly revealed his thoughts.

There was something everyone had overlooked—when it came to the Lnfinity Lsles forest, the information had only been spreading in small circles. No one wanted to increase the number of competitors and everyone had been trying to keep it quiet. The same applied to the powerful forces from the Haunted Marsh.

What Charles wanted to do was to make this information public, to let everyone know, especially the Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths.

The Lnfinity Lsles forest, located in Celestial City, actually belonged to the Abyssal Depths. The Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh were the true outsiders. Yet these outsiders were acting as if they were the masters, blocking the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters from exploring the forest.

This was wrong!

It shouldn’t be this way!

It was a great disgrace!

The Abyssal Depths Beast Masters should unite to resist the control of the Haunted Marsh Beast Masters. Only then could they reclaim their dignity.

Charles’s voice grew louder, no longer calm, his gaze fiery like a torch as he stared at all the Beast Masters before him, igniting the hidden fury in their hearts.

Someone gritted their teeth and whispered,

“That’s right! This is the Abyssal Depths, Celestial City, not a place for the Haunted Marsh people to run wild!”

“Exactly, why shouldn’t we, the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters, be allowed to enter? The Haunted Marsh Beast Masters should be the ones kept out!”

“Absolutely! We should make this public, unite all the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters!”

Charles looked at the reactions of the other Beast Masters in the tavern with satisfaction. This was the effect he had hoped for. In reality, there was no need to say much. The Abyssal Depths Beast Masters already had the anger inside them; all he did was ignite that fire at the right moment.

Soon, some Beast Masters in the tavern grabbed their phones and began posting topics online, while others immediately left the tavern to inform their friends and acquaintances.

Only Leonard stood there, stunned, staring at Charles in complete shock.

He took a deep breath, lowered his head, and slowly said,

“Sorry, I lost control earlier and said some things I shouldn’t have. I apologize for my behavior and what I said.”

No one had forced him to apologize; he truly realized now that this man in front of him wasn’t just talking nonsense—he actually had a better plan.

One Abyssal Depths Beast Master was nothing more than an ant in front of the Haunted Marsh Beast Masters.

But what about a dozen, a hundred, or even a thousand Abyssal Depths Beast Masters?

Even the high-ranking Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh would have no choice but to seriously consider the power of this force.

In response to Leonard’s apology, Charles didn’t say much. He completely disregarded Leonard. While Leonard was a Level 6 Beast Master and had organized quite a few people, none of that mattered to Charles.

An apology was the least Leonard could do. If he hadn’t apologized and kept provoking Charles, Charles was certain that the outcome for Leonard would be miserable.

After a brief thought, Charles directly spoke,

“Alright, you go do what you need to do. Like I said, try to get all the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters together.”

Faced with Charles’s arrangement, Leonard didn’t feel like he was being ordered around. In fact, he felt that Charles’s plan was much better than trying to force their way in!

If they forced their way in, even if successful, only a few people—maybe a dozen at most—could enter. But if Charles’s plan worked, the potential outcome was unimaginable!

Once Leonard left, Rex sat back down, looking at the calm Charles with some curiosity. He said,

“Brother Charles, you’re full of surprises.”

“Your mind works far better than mine. If we really manage to get into the forest, why don’t we team up?”

“Don’t worry, I’ve been here for a while now. Aside from a few nameless Level 6 Beast Masters, no one is a match for me!”

Upon hearing Rex’s words, Charles was intrigued. Rex’s strength was impressive—he had killed two Beast Masters of the same level without using weapons or summoning mystical beasts, something that most Beast Masters couldn’t do.

The Beast Master who could make Rex feel this confident must be even stronger.

So, Charles asked him who those Beast Masters were that Rex thought were strong enough to be a challenge.

Rex lowered his head, thinking for a moment. Aside from the talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh, there was one person who felt particularly dangerous to him: a Beast Master with no limbs!
