Chapter 761: 758, Leather-covered Man No Need to Fear_1

“Civilization Ascension…” Manilla III muttered to himself.

To him, it sounded like a perilously ambitious plan. There was no guarantee that Skru Star would win every future war. Even a slight misstep could lead to annihilation!

Yet, given Skru Star’s resources, this might be the only option, especially for the God Level beings. Their only choice was to either ascend or wait for death.

“Did Pu Langte and the others agree to this plan?” Manilla III asked.

Before Manina could answer, a white spot of light appeared in the middle of the Grand Hall.

The light quickly expanded.

An elderly man, clad in a flaming red suit of armour, emerged from the light spot. It was Pu Langte, who had travelled via space transfer.

“Hey, old friend, congratulations on your successful advancement!” Pu Langte’s hearty voice echoed through the hall.

“Old friend, you seem to be in good shape too!” Manilla III walked forward excitedly, extending his hand to firmly grasp the hands of this dear friend who he hadn’t seen in fifty years.

Manilla III and Pu Langte had always been close friends. They were the two most brilliant jewels of Skru Star’s first golden age. They were the ones who transformed the Raging Sun Empire from an insignificant nation into an empire.

Now, the two old friends meeting again felt very familiar.

“I heard from Manina that you’re planning to invade a planet. I never thought you’d make such a big decision while I was absent?” joked Manilla III, looking at his old friend.

“We cannot lose this opportunity, old friend.” Pu Langte laughed heartily, although his tone was somewhat grave, “We don’t have much time left. If us old bones don’t take the initiative now, have you considered what will become of the Raging Sun Empire 300 years from now?”

“Sigh, you’re right,” Manilla III also sighed deeply.

Although he and Pu Langte both appeared glamorous at God Level’s peak, with no challengers on their planet, they both only had a mere 300 years left to live.

The worst part was that there was no one ready to succeed them in the Raging Sun Empire.

Whether anyone would be able to ascend to God Level in the next 300 years was entirely unknown. It was even possible that they would all die out, leaving the Raging Sun without a single God Level being.

Now, compare this to the neighbouring Lun Kete alliance.

Although the God Level beings of Lun Kete, Sidim and Victoria, only had Divine Rank lower-level strength, they were a new generation of Divine Rank powerhouses born within the last 500 years.

If they, the two old fellows, didn’t put in more effort, the Raging Sun Empire would become completely dominated by the Lunkete people 300 years from now.

“Old ancestor,” began Manina abruptly, “You shouldn’t worry too much about our problem of succession. I recently discovered a genius who was promoted to the seventh stage at only 200 years old. Given sufficient resources, I believe he can ascend to Divine Rank within the next 300 years.”

“Oh? And who might that be?” asked Manilla III with curiosity.

“His name is Langqi, he’s the current commander of the Skru expeditionary forces. Let me summon him here right away,” answered Manina.

“Very well, bring him in. I’d like to have a good look at this young genius,” said Manilla III cheerily.

What happened in the Raging Sun Royal Palace will be touched upon later.

Three hours later, Zhong Feng arrived at the Raging Sun Imperial City — Sun City, via a plane.

Thanks to the fake identity provided by Elder Zhu, he smoothly reached his destination without hindrance.

Upon leaving the airport, he hailed an autonomous float-taxi and provided the destination address to the taxi’s AI system.

Once boarding, the taxi immediately lifted into the air, flying towards the city district.

Sun City was extremely prosperous, its skyline filled with skyscrapers wherever one looked.

The fire column in the Raging Sun Royal Palace had not entirely dissipated yet.

Many Skru people on the streets and looking out the windows of buildings along the way were gazing in the direction of the fire column.

Zhong Feng also kept himself busy.

He took out a local Raging Sun styled camera from his backpack and captured every noteworthy scenery along both sides of the road, a treasured piece of reference material.

The autonomous taxi zigzagged along the street.

Eventually, Zhong Feng arrived at a small alley in the southern part of the city called “Praise Shine”. A big red five-story building stood there, which was Ti Qi’s office in Sun City.

The Raging Sun Empire’s intelligence organization “Glare” had not yet discovered this office.

In fact, the entirety of the Ti Qi organization was beyond Glare’s knowledge.

However, this was not because Ti Qi was extraordinary, but because the organization had only been established by Elder Zhu recently. It was less than two months old, so it was quite normal for Glare to be unaware of this small organization.

After disembarking from the floating taxi, Zhong Feng pressed his fingerprint on the car door to pay the fare, preparing to turn around and walk into the building.

But at that moment, the floating taxi wobbled to both sides, saying in an extraordinarily cheerful tone, “Thank you for your ride! I’m so HAPPY to have had a customer like you! Remember to call me again next time, hehe!”

The floating taxi joyfully rotated in the sky a couple of times before flying away without looking back.

The pedestrians on both sides of the street had heard the taxi’s voice and turned their gazes towards Zhong Feng.

Zhong Feng felt extremely awkward.

He quickly told the bystanders, “This is just a special service of the floating taxi,” tightened his clothing and hurriedly moved away.

The floating taxi’s “special service” was custom-designed by Sun City’s taxi company for the politically correct community.

The Lun Kete alliance had its politically correct trends, like prioritizing sexual minorities, minority ethnicities and promoting animal and environmental protection.

The Raging Sun Empire had its own politically correct trends, such as advocating for violence and freedom, prioritizing its citizens and especially rejecting the Lun Kete people’s political correctness.

Members of both countries’ politically correct communities could receive a great deal of preferential treatment in aspects such as transportation and privacy. So, Elder Zhu’s fake identity for Zhong Feng was that of a politically correct person.

As a member of the politically correct community, he could enjoy “exclusive services” when using taxis in Sun City. He could choose from dozens of modes such as “Normal mode”, “Immersive Racing mode”, “Sleep mode” and so on.

Zhong Feng was curious, so he randomly chose an “Active mode”.

This was a choice he would later come to regret deeply.

After choosing this mode, the entire taxi seemed to come to life, becoming extraordinarily lively and cheerful.

Not only did the car body shake and sway without cease, but the AI system inside also continuously cooed at him, like a pet dog looking to be spoiled at home.

Especially at the time of payment disembarking, the voice of the floating taxi nearly caused him to die of embarrassment.

“I really made such a fool of myself. If I had known, I would never have chosen active mode,” he thought bitterly to himself.

However, upon further reflection, Zhong Feng suddenly realized he was still wearing the skin of a Skru.

Since he was posing as a Skru, why should he be embarrassed?

With his head held high and chest puffed out, he walked towards the small building opposite.
