The status panel appeared in front of my eyes. I started to go through the details. Seeing that my stats have increased, I was not surprised because the forbidden chapter is showing 1%, which means my efforts were worth it.

Then I closed the status panel and stood up. I started to get ready.

About 20 minutes later,

I appeared outside wearing new clothes. I don’t know what’s going on, but thanks to that freezing liquid, I was able to heal from the burnt injuries.

“It’s time to leave Brendan City,” I said to myself.

This city has been bad luck for me. I had never suffered this much before. To think I was seriously injured because of a level-9 Magic Spell.

A sky-blue-haired young lady was standing in front of me.

“Who are you?” I asked.

“You must be the one who brought the Freezing Liquid. My name is Palma Wonders. I’m the daughter of the Wonders Store owner,” she introduced herself.

Hearing that, I was surprised because I hadn’t contacted her before.

“Okay, what do you want?” I asked.

I found no malicious intentions from her; otherwise, the system would have warned me.

“My manager did something bad…” After saying that, she began to explain what happened after the young man’s departure.

About 10 minutes later,

My heart turned cold. To think I was close to death again. I didn’t know what to say. Seeing that it was someone else’s territory, my rationality kicked in.

“It’s okay. I don’t blame you. Right now, I’m planning to leave the city,” I said to her.

Palma Wonders was surprised. She thought that the young man would be angry at her. Now she was relaxed.

“My father has invited you to our family,” she said.

Hearing that, I shook my head and replied, “It’s an urgent issue. I’m running out of time. I appreciate your father’s invitation, but I must leave.”

After saying that, I walked past her. Then I went to the exit to leave.

Palma Wonders thought of something before following him.

She blocked my path again. She looked at the young man and said, “My father will punish me. It all started because of me. If you need any help, you can ask us.”

Hearing that, I frowned. Then I thought of something before asking, “Well, I need to go to the border. On top of that, I need information about the known countries around us.”

Palma Wonders’s eyes flickered. She nodded her head.

She said, “Then come to my shop. We have information about the nearby countries.”

Hearing that, I nodded to her before following her back to the Wonders Shop. It didn’t take long for us to return to the shop.

Then I saw the same female staff behind the desk. She was startled upon seeing me.

I nodded to her before going inside. She led me to the guest room before she left. I thought she was going to get some books, so I sat on the sofa.

Palma called her father. She told him everything. After knowing that the young man wants to leave the country, Riley Palmer agrees to help. Since the young man doesn’t have hostility, he let go of his worry.

Inside the guest room, I was sipping the tea brought by the staff.

Shortly afterward,

Palma Wonders came, carrying books in her hands.

“These old books have recorded the history of nearby countries. We also have trading relations with one of the surrounding countries,” she said.

Hearing that, I thanked her. I lack knowledge right now. This information was of immense value to me.

Palma Wonders didn’t leave. She picked one of the books and sat in the nearby sofa.

Seeing that, I smiled and began to sip the tea. At the same time, I flipped through the pages of one of the books.

As time passed, my focus began to increase. After drinking the tea, I shifted my attention to the book.

Palma Wonders was not interested in reading the books. Rather, she was interested in striking up a conversation with the young man.

“Where are you going?”

“If you intend to travel to a foreign country, I can make arrangements,” Palma Wonders said.

Hearing that, I paused for a moment before looking at her. From the beginning, I was keeping an eye on her as well. She doesn’t seem to be bad.

She doesn’t have hostile intentions either.

“What are you thinking?” she asked.

“Care to tell me about it?” I replied.

“We have our own modern airship. We ship goods to other places, including foreign territories,” she said with a smile.

Hearing that, I finally gave it thought. It would be stupid to reject her offer. But why is she helping me?

“I appreciate your help. But I want to know why?” I asked her. My tone was straightforward.

Palma Wonders blinked her eyes. She decided to tell the truth.

“To be honest, I’m the youngest level-9 Wizard. My friends are level-8 Wizards. After the breakthrough, the gap between us increased. So I have been wanting to make friends with new people,” Palma said.

“When you entered our shop, I noticed I couldn’t see through you. I thought you were a level-9 Wizard as well,” she added.

Hearing that, my heart raced. She was not older than me, but she was already a level-9 Wizard. My heart set off storms.

“Monster,” I said in my heart.

“What happened?” she asked.

Hearing that, I collected my thoughts and looked at her. It’s impossible for someone to grow to this level through self-study.

“Do you belong to any wizard organization?” I asked.

Palma Wonders was not surprised, as everyone had the same reaction, though the young man in front of her had tried to hide it.

She saw his dumbfounded expression. She was happy.

“Yes, I belong to a Wizard Organization. It’s not in our country. It’s located in a faraway place. My master told me that it is a powerful land,” she said with great yearning in her eyes.

My eyes flashed with doubt.

“So you’ve never been to your wizard organization?” I asked.

“No, my master accepted me as her disciple during her travels. She will take me back when I become Supreme,” Palma said.

Hearing that, my heart raced again. What kind of organization allows only for Supremes?

“What’s your organization called?” I asked her.

“Mage Union,” Palma uttered.

I felt a thunderclap strike my head. It took me a couple of seconds to digest the information. When my expression returned to normal, I looked at her with new understanding.

“No wonder she has such a level at this age,” I said in my heart.

For a second, I felt good that I had listened to her. Otherwise, I would have offended a powerful person.

“Are you shocked again?”

“Everyone has the same reaction. No one wants to offend the Mage Union,” Palma said with a smile.

I smiled in response. She doesn’t know I’m one of their invested Wizard Seeds.
