After confirming that things were in order, they went to the temple of the god of steam next. They went there to retrieve any letter that Tesla had sent to them.
The retrieval process took some time because his letters had been sent to Ivory Town. The letters had to be sent to Reinfield City again. For that, he had to pay some money.
There were other letters from other people. But he wasn’t interested in them enough to bother to pay for them to be sent to him directly.
He could only arrange for the letters to be sent by train to Reinfield City. This would take some days and might even lead to some misplaced letters, but it was cheap.
After taking his letters, he returned home in the inner city. This is where rich merchants and other upper-class people live.
Reinfield City is about four times the size of Ivory Town. But there are ten times more people in Reinfield City than in Ivory Town. So Reinfield has a higher population density.
Reinfield is also prosperous. This prosperity and the large population are not only because it has a spirit spring that is many times bigger than the spirit spring of a town. Most of its prosperity is because Reinfield is a merchant city.
Reinfield City was established by merchants, not nobles. Many merchants came together and built a city for doing business.
They built Reinfield in an economic location that makes it so that goods from different places are transported through the city. They also built many factories so the city is capable of producing many goods that leave its territory.
The city is demarcated into three rings and many districts. The outer ring is where commoners and workers live. It is also where factories are built.
The inner city is where the wealthy people of the city live. It is the best location that most people will be able to have access to.
The core of the city is where the administration of the city is. It is also where only the people belonging to the initial families that built the city can leave.
After many generations, the families of the merchants that built Reinfield City have become noble families. These nobles have staked their claim over the core of the city.
Just like they don’t let outsiders live with them, they don’t let outsiders take up important administrative positions either. They might compete among themselves, but they will never let outsiders encroach on their territories.
Legion doesn’t care about political power anyway. The only thing they care about is growing stronger. So if it were up to them, they would be in the basement of their house forever, slowly growing stronger.

So they made up their minds to enslave a noble and use the noble to do things that they can’t do easily on their own. Even if the noble can’t help them with finding the divine flesh that they need, the noble will help them with other things.
But first, they decided to advance their two other pathways that they can in order to reach rank 4. They want to advance to rank 4 and become epic beings first because this will help them use the Bloody Heart divine artifact better.
