The choice was between three lesser slaves or one very powerful slave. It was either the route of quality or quantity. They went to both which helped them sever their ties to Ivory Town and met the advancement requirement.

That is the only pathway whose advancement requirement they have met. They still need to meet the advancement requirements of the pathway of killing, thr pathway of the telepath and the pathway of the undying.

The advancement requirement of the pathway of the Telepath is to hypnotize three people and make them kill someone they care deeply about.

Instead of three people, they could also hypnotize a rank 4 being. But they don’t want to try that at all. It is much easier for them to go through the quantity route to complete the advancement requirement instead of the quality route.

On the other side is the advancement requirement of the pathway of undying, which requires them to turn their rank 3 divine ability called Armor, from virtual to real.

Depending on who you ask, this can be difficult or easy. It is easy for them because they know what they need to turn the effect of a divine ability from a temporary effect to a permanent effect.

The Armor divine ability is a divine ability that creates a phantom armor over the body to protect the body. After activating it, the phantom armor overlapped with the living armor.

The phantom armor doesn’t block attacks completely like the Aegis Shield does. It will only block a certain portion of the attack.

Currently, the Armor divine ability is at 5% mastery. That means it can only block a portion of an attack that is 5% equal to their constitution attribute.

Since their current constitution attribute is 40, if a rank 4 godclad with a strength of 80 units attacks them, with a fist for example, their Armor divine ability will reduce that attack by 2. So their Aegis Shield will only have to block 78 units of the entire attack.
