Kyle was making major moves, trying his best to tie up loose ends but something told him he was about to enter the darker part of this world.

Kyle was ready for this new phase of his life because it was necessary for him to conquer the dark side of the industry if he was going to accomplish his goals.

Kyle didn’t waste time in calling the number given to him and it went straight to voicemail.

“Hm…” Kyle already left the building and was on his way to see Cassandra but he got the same feeling he did when Clarence was watching him.

Kyle wasn’t going to make the same mistake as he entered his car right away but through his rearview mirror.

He could see a car parked right behind him, the car wasn’t there when he got in, boxing him in.

Kyle knew he was in potential danger but had to remain calm in this situation as it had the potential to escalate.

Kyle remained in his car because there was a good chance others were lurking around.

He knew this was calculated and wasn’t a random occurrence but remaining calm was the only thing he could do.

However, the car pulled away and drove off, leaving Kyle puzzled about what just happened.

“Am I overthinking it?” Kyle thought to himself.

That was likely the case as it was the only explanation but Kyle knew he couldn’t become the strongest man in the world if he didn’t tame the underworld in the process.

“This is going to get complicated…” Kyle muttered under his breath but before he could pull off the driveway, a knock on his door was heard.

“The fuck!?” Kyle muttered before turning his head towards the direction it came from, the fact that he couldn’t see the person prior showed they knew the art of stealth because his attention was peaked.

Kyle had two options, he could leave this person in the dust and drive off but something told him this wouldn’t be a good idea.

Kyle lowered his window but at this moment, he wondered why he had no weapon to defend himself against potential threats.

There wasn’t much he could do if a gun was pulled on him and Kyle was beginning to understand this was going to happen a lot more often if he planned to dip his feet in that water.

“Can I help you with something?” Kyle questioned but the man in the black suit and shades simply gestured for him to unlock his door.

Kyle was skeptical because he looked like someone right out of a secret agent movie with the way he was dressed.

Kyle popped the door open and the man casually entered before opening a laptop, pointing it in Kyle’s direction.

“Ummm… Hello to you too?” Kyle said but the man didn’t say a word.

He noticed what was on the laptop screen, it was a call but Kyle wondered what happened to phone calls.

“This is a bit extra…” Kyle thought to himself but he knew it was connected to the card, if so, why didn’t the person just call him back?

[[Hello Kyle, I have been wanting to meet you.]]

The voice greeted from the other end, the bass in his voice felt unnatural to the point that Kyle thought it was being altered.

Kyle didn’t respond because he wasn’t sure what this was and had his fill of bad misfortune to blindly leap into this.

[[I understand your hesitation but this is for my own safety/]]

The voice said but what did he mean by this? Why would he need protection when he was connected?

“Is that so? Who are you and what do you want from me?” Kyle got right to the point because he wasn’t comfortable with this entire situation.

He assumed these were people from the Agency he attempted to buy but this was too sneaky to be that.

[[You will know who I am very soon but the question is… Do you understand that you’re a man that have some powerful people’s attention.]]

The voice said and all that came into his mind was Cleopatra, did she send this person?

Kyle knew he had to remain calm and not jump to any conclusion until there was definite proof.

“You’re the one that sent the text…” Kyle said and there was a loud silence that followed.

[[You’re perceptive, I give you that. But that isn’t the purpose of this conversation.]]

“Get to it, I have things to do,” Kyle responded right away. He needed to maintain his frame because if he faltered for even a second, it might be the end of him.

He had to give off the impression he wasn’t to be messed with.

[[Impatient, are we?]]

Kyle knew he had to tread carefully because one wrong move could put whoever was on the line on the offensive.

The last thing he needed was enemies and also knew he needed allies, this couldn’t have come at a more convenient time.

“I know I have gotten the attention of others due to my wealth but what of it?” Kyle responded, finally answering his question.

[[You do not exist in any database nor can we trace your bank account. The only people I know that go to such lengths are people with secrets to hide.]] The voice said at the other end.

“I see what this is… They want to see who is backing me,” Kyle thought to himself.

“What can I say? I have powerful allies,” Kyle responded but there was silence.

[[That is false… You have NO allies.]] The voice responded showing they had done thorough research.

[[… Unless you’re talking about Jane, Ella, or Nate…]]

This was when Kyle’s blood ran cold, whoever this person was had done their homework or they shouldn’t know about these names.

“What do you want?” Kyle asked, showing willingness to negotiate.

[[I want us to meet.]] The voice said.

“Then why don’t you come out here and say hello?” Kyle mocked, looking around but something soon invaded his nose.

[[Don’t worry, I will bring you to me.]]

The voice responded and Kyle realized the man behind him had sprayed something that soon made him lose consciousness.
