Soo Yin slowly opened her eyes after a night of being unconscious. Her eyes immediately caught sight of the all-white room and the smell of something she really didn't like.
Her vision was still a little blurry, looking up at the clean white hospital ceiling. Soo Yin moved her hand which felt a little sore from the IV needle pricking her skin. Until she slowly felt a hair touched the skin of her hand.
"Dae Hyun," she said, glancing at the man who seemed to be still asleep. She stroked Dae Hyun's hair in a slow motion.
Soo Yin tried to remember why she got to the hospital. The last time she saw it was when she was waiting for Dae Hyun in the backyard of the restaurant. After that, she didn't remember anything anymore.
Dae Hyun lifted his head when he felt a hand caressing him with a gentle motion.
"Finally you're awake," he said, smiling immediately when he saw Soo Yin had opened her eyes. Though he was very worried that something would happen to his little wife.
"How can I be here?" Soo Yin said after realizing she was now in the hospital.
"You passed out last night," Dae Hyun said while rubbing her cheek with his thumb.
"Where have you been last night? I was waiting for you but you didn't come," Soo Yin said while pouting her lips. She was starting to remember what happened.
"I'm sorry because last night Grandma was hospitalised. I didn't remember anymore if there was an appointment to pick you up," Dae Hyun said with regretful eyes.
"Grandma is sick?" Soo Yin's forehead immediately furrowed. The anger she felt was slowly fading away.
"Hmm, Grandma had a heart attack," said Dae Hyun.
"Then how are things now?" Soo Yin became even more anxious this time.
"Her condition has improved quite a bit. Luckily we weren't too late to get her to the hospital."
"How did it happen? Did something cause it?"
Dae Hyun sighed heavily, remembering how the debate happened last night.
"Park Soo Hyun left and couldn't be contacted since last night. It turned out to be used by my two uncles to urge grandma to let them take over the hotel like they used to. But grandma didn't agree until Grandma fell unconscious," explained Dae Hyun a little about last night's incident.
"Aren't they just son-in-laws but why do they want to control the hotel?" Soo Yin chuckled because she didn't expect Dae Hyun's two uncles to turn out to be evil.
"Then how is it now?" Soo Yin added.
"Grandma asked me to return to lead the hotel but my uncles didn't agree. On the other hand, I also don't want the hotel to be destroyed like it used to be."
"Then what are you going to do?"
"I don't know, I'm currently thinking hard to choose. This is also because Park Soo Hyun disappeared. What an irresponsible man." Dae Hyun was very upset about how bad his brother was.
Dert…
Dae Hyun felt his phone vibrate. He quickly dug into his trouser pocket. It turned out that his father called.
"Where are you now?" asked Park Ji Hoon after the call connected.
"I'm looking after my sick wife. What's wrong?" Dae Hyun said.
"Your wife is sick? Where is she being treated?"
"In this hospital too," said Dae Hyun reluctantly.
"You'd better come here now because your grandmother wants to talk to you," said Park Ji Hoon.
Dae Hyun let out a long sigh, wanting to refuse but he couldn't.
"Okay," said Dae Hyun and then hung up the phone.
Soo Yin looked at Dae Hyun with a furrowed brow. Wanted to know what her father-in-law said.
"Did something happen?" Soo Yin said.
"Hmmm, father asked me to come to see grandma."
"Then go," said Soo Yin.
"Are you okay to be alone?"
"I'm fine. Your grandma is more important right now." Soo Yin smiled reassuringly as she squeezed Dae Hyun's hand.
"Stay here because I won't be long," said Dae Hyun who had stood up.
Soo Yin closed her eyes when she felt the soft touch of Dae Hyun's lips on her forehead. He even kissed her hand over and over again. Her annoyance slowly disappeared because of the man's sweet treatment.
"Go, don't let grandma wait too long." Soo Yin was forced to chase away her husband who hadn't left her side.
Dae Hyun nodded his head then walked away reluctantly, leaving his wife. He still felt guilty about what he had done.
The room occupied by Soo Yin was not too far from Hae Sok's room, indeed.
"Dae Hyun, where have you been?" said Mrs. Park to her son who had arrived at the door.
"I was out for a while, Mom," Dae Hyun said flatly because it was impossible to tell the truth.
"Hurry up and come in, your grandmother has been waiting for you for a long time."
Dae Hyun turned the doorknob. His gaze immediately focused on Hae Sok who was lying on the bed. There was a tube in her nose to help her breathe.
Hae Sok smiled as Dae Hyun slowly approached her. Then sat in the chair right next to the bed.
"Sorry, Grandma. I haven't been waiting for grandma since last night because I was in Soo Yin's room to look after her," Dae Hyun said with sad eyes from lack of sleep.
"Soo Yin is sick? What happened to her?" Hae Sok looked worried.
"Grandma doesn't have to worry because she's fine. Last night I forgot to pick her up at the restaurant so she fainted from waiting outside," said Dae Hyun.
"Then how is she now?"
"She has now been treated and is doing well."
"Why are you being so careless like that? Thank God she's fine. What if something bad happened?" said Hae Sok.
"I forgot after last night bringing Grandma here. Is there something Grandma wanted to talk about that Grandma called me?" Dae Hyun said.
"Do you still love Grandma?"
"Why would Grandma ask like that. Of course I've always loved you," said Dae Hyun, narrowing his eyes. Already understood that if his grandmother was like this then she definitely wanted to ask him about something.
"If you love me, then you should obey my wishes," said Hae Sok.
"Does it have anything to do with the hotel?" Dae Hyun had guessed it right.
"Go back to leading the hotel right now. Don't let the hotel built by your grandfather from scratch to be demolished by his son-in-law, Dae Hyun. That's why your grandfather had always disapproved of your two uncles managing it. They just wanted to take as much profit as possible without managing it properly." Hae Sok stared at the ceiling, imagining her husband who had worked so hard to build a hotel. Because before building it, they had to save money.
Dae Hyun lowered his head. He was really in a dilemma at the moment. But it was also impossible to refuse it.
"If you don't want your grandmother to die then go back to the hotel," Hae Sok threatened.
"Grandma, don't talk like that." Dae Hyun gripped the woman's wrinkled and loosened fingers.
"If you don't want me to say that, then do what I want," said Hae Sok.
