On the Dream Continent.
A group of nymphs gathered beneath a Rainbow Tree for a tea party. Despite the many present, the grove remained tranquil.
Everyone was engaged in their own activities. Whenever someone spoke, the other nymphs listened attentively, waiting for the speaker to finish before speaking.
Everything flowed in perfect order and harmony.
“Everyone has arrived,” announced one nymph as she stood up and looked around.
“All of us are here…” confirmed the last nymph to arrive.
“Then let us begin!” Florrie declared that the tea party had commenced.
Each nymph wore a flower wreath upon her head. Some carried small bells in their hands, while others held harps or clay ocarinas.
They all wore flowing, loose gowns and possessed long black hair. Their pupils changed color according to their mood and surroundings, often displaying rainbow-like hues when in the Rainbow Forest.
If an ordinary person were to gaze directly into a Wood Nymph’s eyes, they would immediately fall into the Dream Realm.A table had been placed in the grove, set with exquisite tea ware. The teapot held fragrant flower tea, and silver platters were laden with delicate pastries.
First, a nymph played music and sang. During the melody, another nymph rose to her feet.
She stretched her arms like flowering branches and lifted her feet.
Beneath the Rainbow Tree, she danced gracefully near the swing.
After savoring the flower tea together, they sat down to discuss matters.
This was the natural rhythm of the Wood Nymphs’ lives.
“Sister Florrie.”
“So, what kind of spirit realm do you want to create?”
A Wood Nymph asked Florrie, revealing the purpose behind this tea gathering.
Florrie was the first Wood Nymph about to advance to Third-Rank, so the others eagerly anticipated what kind of spirit realm she would create, especially since they would eventually follow the same path.
The spirit realms of Wood Nymphs differed somewhat from the Dream Realms of Ancient Spirits. Since they had inherited only the spatial and dream aspects of power, they couldn’t perform miraculous feats like the Ancient Spirits who could modify and create their own domains at will.
Therefore, choosing their spirit realm was extremely important.
Once chosen, it would be difficult to alter later.
Actually, the first spirit realm to appear should be the place where the Wood Nymphs currently resided and held their tea parties.
The Rainbow Spirit Realm.
However, this realm was the origin point for all Wood Nymphs. It was created by the Dream Sovereign’s divine power and could not truly serve as a reference.
Florrie hesitated before answering, “I haven’t decided yet.”
“I love many places in the mortal world, but they all seem to be missing something.”
“I want it to be beautiful, but I also want it to serve a practical purpose, not just be pretty.”
Florrie looked toward the other Wood Nymphs. “Just as Lady Hila granted us God’s Form, she also set our mission as messengers.”
“She granted us the form that only divine beings can possess, even giving us the hair color of the Creator.”
“But she didn’t want us to be just pretty ornaments; she wanted our lives to have meaning.”
Wood Nymphs were a dream race born in the Creator’s Domain, naturally possessing longevity. They were a pure and beautiful race.
Yet because of this, they lacked strong desires and motivations.
Other nymphs offered their opinions: “I think it should be a forest.”
A nymph continued with her suggestion: “I imagine this forest on a mountain, with a tall tree house built on several levels.”
“The mountain would have streams, windmills, a small river, and bridges made of flowering vines spanning the water.”
“There would be wide stone steps leading upward, covered with fallen leaves and flower petals.”
Other nymphs marveled: “How vast that would be! Surely only an apostle-level being could maintain such an extensive spirit realm?”
Another nymph shared her own vision: “I wouldn’t want anything elaborate. If it were me, I would establish a spirit realm within a Rainbow Tree.”
“I would nurture an immense Rainbow Tree.”
“Inside the tree would be hollow spaces arranged in layers, each with different rooms, all interconnected.”
“Finally, it would lead to the crown of the tree, where I would build a garden under a glass dome with adjustable panels to control the light’s brightness.”
“I could sunbathe among the flowers every day and invite everyone to attend my afternoon tea parties.”
Once ideas began flowing, one nymph shared an even more unique and imaginative vision.
However, realizing such a concept would likely require one to be a Demigod.
The tea party continued until evening, when the Dream Sun at the edge of the sky was nearly setting. Only then did Florrie speak up.
“Everyone’s spirit realm ideas sound beautiful, but…”
“They seem to be just beautiful.”
If they were spirits of old, they wouldn’t have concerned themselves with such matters. Wouldn’t it be enough for something to be simply beautiful and enjoyable?
But Wood Nymph Florrie had her own thoughts: “I still want to find the purpose and meaning behind a spirit realm.”
At this point, a nymph suggested: “Sister Florrie, maybe you could visit the domains of other divine beings and get their thoughts.”
Florrie found this to be an excellent suggestion and nodded.
“Indeed. As messengers of the gods, we’ve never visited the Demigods of the mortal realm.”
“I should go meet them.”
—
The Pyramid Temple.
Besides the three supreme beings of the Creator’s Domain, the only divine beings Florrie knew of were the God of Alchemy and Desire, Iva, and the Scarlet Witch of the Blood Kingdom of the Deep Sea, also known as the Blood Progenitor.
However, Florrie believed there must be other divine beings in this world.
She had come to ask the Dream Sovereign about the whereabouts of other deities.
As messengers of the gods, the Wood Nymphs’ failure to clarify this matter until now could be considered neglect of duty.
However, since divine beings were so few and decades were merely a blink of an eye to immortal gods, this delay would hardly be considered even a brief nap for them.
“Lady Hila.”
“Lady Hila?”
Florrie entered the Pyramid Temple only to discover that none of the divine beings were present.
“Is anyone here?”
Florrie turned to leave, but as she looked back, she noticed a bronze mirror placed to one side within the temple.
She knew exactly what this mirror was.
After a moment’s hesitation, she approached the mirror, bowed respectfully, and then inquired:
“Mirror, oh mirror, may I use you?”
“Or can you ask Lady Hila if I may use you?”
The bronze mirror briefly illuminated, as if answering her.
Florrie then continued: “Mirror, please show me the locations of other divine domains.”
Miracle Tool: Spirit’s Magic Mirror.
Judging by its name, it seemed ordinary. However, the ‘spirit’ here was not a common spirit but Dream Sovereign Hila.
This Miracle Tool might appear to be just the mirror the Dream Sovereign used to observe the mortal realm, with no particularly high sequence number.
But what mattered was not the mirror itself, but the authority behind it. It was a tool connecting the entire dream star sea and capable of searching through all records from past to present. Everything that had ever existed or vanished could be found within this mirror.
Images began to appear within the bronze mirror.
First, the sun rose over the mountain range, turning the entire peak golden. Above the thundering waterfall hung a suspended garden, with flower vines cascading down from the heights. Above the waterfall stood a beautiful and exquisite castle, the Garden of the Cup of Desire, and a divine kingdom illuminated by countless lights.
The scene shifted.
The boundless sea raised enormous waves. At the bottom of the ocean lay a divine kingdom with ancient buildings from a bygone era that radiated the essence of time, and dimly flickering lights shone on weathered lighthouses. In the darkness of the outer layers, terrifying shadows moved about.
Next, in the gloomy underground, not a single ray of light could be seen, only pitch blackness. As the view drew closer, a massive, filth-stained gate appeared before her eyes.
Finally, Florrie saw a familiar, dreamlike, and ethereal space.
It was the boundary where the Dream Realm ended.
A Door of Truth stood tall in this place, slightly ajar. Behind it was a sea of knowledge, an ocean composed of countless images and fragments.
She had used the Spirit’s Magic Mirror, this Miracle Tool, to locate the positions of other divine beings in the world.
Florrie opened her eyes and memorized their locations.
“Then I shall visit them one by one!”
Florrie first arrived at the depths of the ocean.
This was the domain of the Demigod of Life Ability, whom she had encountered once before.
In the Blood Kingdom of the Deep Sea, a spectral flower suddenly grew from the ground.
Inside the Temple of Truth, the red-haired Demigod sitting on a throne of flesh and blood lifted her head and looked toward the disturbance.
She could sense someone intruding into her domain. Rashly entering a Demigod’s realm was extremely dangerous and unwise.
But evidently the intruder had done just that with great confidence.
Moreover, she sensed a familiar aura from the visitor.
Vivien thought for a moment, then remembered.
“A Wood Nymph?”
From within the spectral flower, a Wood Nymph wearing a flower wreath emerged.
She gazed at her surroundings. This place ranked second only to the God-Given City and God-Servant City in antiquity among known structures.
She ascended the steps and entered the Temple of Truth.
The being on the flesh throne asked: “Messenger from the Creator’s Domain, have you come to my realm bearing divine edicts from the Sovereigns?”
Florrie shook her head and replied, “Lady Hila created us and made us messengers of the gods.”
“But only now have we truly gained sufficient power to serve as messengers of the gods and to become a true race.”
She took out a seed: “This is an ordinary tool made from Rainbow Tree flower branches. You may use it to summon us if needed.”
“When planted, it will grow into a temporary Rainbow Tree and then revert to its branch form after use.”
“It can be used repeatedly.”
The red-haired Demigod extended her hand, and the flower branch floated into it.
She put it away and thanked the Wood Nymph: “Thank you, beautiful messenger.”
Florrie returned the courtesy and, having completed this task, asked, “Forgive my boldness, but may I ask you a question?”
The red-haired Demigod listened to Florrie’s inquiry.
“I am about to break through to Third-Rank. As a being of the Dream Realm, I will possess my own domain.”
“You are an ancient existence from the previous era, having experienced countless years, with experience and knowledge beyond my imagination.”
“Could you share your wisdom with me about what I can do? Is there something I can accomplish that others cannot?”
“What kind of domain should I create?”
Florrie also expressed her hopes: “I wish for it to be not merely a beautiful garden, but a place with meaning.”
The Scarlet Witch of the Blood Kingdom, the Queen of the Most Ancient Race, Vivien, told her:
“I am not of the dream races, but I believe a domain should blend one’s power and authority with one’s mission and aspirations.”
“You could unite your domain with your mission as a messenger of the gods. It could be a place for storing letters or a transit hub for correspondence.”
“I have heard that spirits manifest their power through wishes.”
“Letters themselves are vessels that contain the wishes and desires of mortals.”
Vivien, worthy of her former title as Sage of the Temple of Truth, saw through the essence of spirit power at a glance.
“In the future, you will surely collect numerous wishes from mortals and Ability Users among them, likely through the collection of letters.”
“By then, your current method will certainly prove inadequate. Your space might be the first step toward change.”
After listening, Florrie nodded and said, “Thank you for your suggestion. I find it very helpful.”
The red-haired Demigod spoke again, returning to her earlier question.
“Messenger from the Creator’s Domain! If I wish to journey to the Creator’s Domain, if I wish to have an audience with the great Creator Yinsai…”
“Only a true god can enter the Creator’s Domain. So, how does one become a true god?”
Florrie shook her head: “I have only heard the Sovereign say that becoming a true god would allow entry to the Creator’s Domain.”
“But I am but a humble messenger.”
Though Florrie called herself a humble messenger, no one in the mortal world would dare consider her an ordinary messenger or a mere peak Second-Rank Ability User.
This humble messenger could meet with the Sovereign of Life and the Sovereign of Dreams at any time.
Moreover, she could see the legendary Creator.
This was something many Demigods yearned for but could not achieve.
Noticing the red-haired Demigod’s disappointment, Florrie spoke again.
“The will of God Yinsai is fate itself. If He wishes to see you, fate will guide you to Him.”
Vivien sighed deeply: “Indeed! The will of God Yinsai is fate itself.”
“If He wishes to see someone, then fate will bring that person to His domain, just as it did for the former saint, Tito.”
She lowered her head to look at the Yinsai Scepter in her hand. Florrie could only faintly hear a few syllables.
“Yinsai… Trilobite Man…”
Florrie bid farewell to Vivien and arrived at God Iva’s Sky Miracle Garden.
“How beautiful.”
These were the first words Florrie uttered upon seeing the Sky Miracle Garden.
Iva was a Demigod from the Creator’s Domain, and his realm revealed that his aesthetics and habits closely resembled those of the Creator’s Domain.
Throughout the journey, the swaying Cups of Desire continuously produced sounds that resembled communication.
“Look, black hair.”
“What’s on her mind?”
“I can’t see!”
“Her heart is like a mirror.”
“I see it, I see a sea of trees, no… a sea of flowers.”
Even the Cups of Desire had never seen a race as unique as the Wood Nymphs.
She saw two figures seated at a high vantage point: God Iva and the Golden Queen of the Miracle Garden.
In the Miracle Temple of the Land of Sunrise, they worshipped the main deity, the Dream Sovereign, along with his attendant, God Iva. The legends of God Iva were always intertwined with those of the Golden Queen.
The Golden Queen possessed golden hair and golden pupils. Mortal legends said she could conjure gold and various extraordinary tools.
She could see through human hearts and desires.
In the stories of Suinhor and the Land of Sunrise, she always bestowed punishment on the greedy and blessings on the kind.
Florrie likewise presented the Rainbow Tree flower branch to God Iva and explained her origins and identity.
“Thank you, Florrie.”
God Iva appeared somewhat reserved. Although it was evident he was pleased by Florrie’s arrival, he remained silent.
He was a deity who was not skilled with words.
The Golden Queen, however, was extremely warm toward Florrie and offered her own answers to Florrie’s questions.
“The power of space and traversing the Dream Realm?”
“That truly is a miraculous power. When I was young, I fantasized about having a little house that belonged solely to me, where no one else could intrude.”
The Golden Queen told Florrie: “But what I can imagine is that this power could be used not only for delivering messages but also for storing things.”
“If one could establish a contract with you, allowing them to deposit items within your space, wouldn’t that be tremendously convenient!”
Florrie recorded the Golden Queen’s suggestion in her notebook, though it was unclear where she had learned the habit of carrying one.
At that moment, God Iva descended from the heights.
He approached Florrie and solemnly handed her a letter.
“Florrie.”
“Please deliver my letter to Lady Hila. Iva will forever be grateful for her guidance and for everything she has given me.”
Florrie nodded to this Demigod: “I will certainly deliver it to Lady Hila.”
Having visited the realms of both the Life Demigod and the Wisdom Demigod, Florrie discovered that Dream Realms differed greatly from divine domains.
After all, other Wisdom Demigods and Life Demigods would remain Demigods even without their domains.
The power of Life Ability lay in bloodlines, while the power of Wisdom Ability lay in wisdom and spirituality.
For Dream Ability, the domain was everything.
“Each person’s realm possesses its own characteristics, intimately connected to their power and mission.”
—
Florrie proceeded to visit another divine being’s domain.
This was a Demigod she had never heard of before. Had it not been for the Spirit’s Magic Mirror, she would never have known of this being’s existence.
This deity resided in a world beyond Ruhe Beast Island, a place that seemed to Florrie like the very edge of heaven.
It was a realm of pure darkness.
“Poof!”
A flower stem grew from the filthy Abyss, blooming with flowers of various colors.
The flower stem served as a coordinate anchor for the Wood Nymph to this location, indicating that she could now traverse there.
The tendrils of the Dream Realm penetrated the area, and the Wood Nymph emerged from nothingness.
However, as soon as she stepped out, overwhelming malice, greed, bloodthirst, and ugliness rushed toward her.
This caused Florrie, who had peeked her head out from the Dream Realm, to immediately withdraw. She cautiously observed the outside through a crack in the Dream Realm while concealing herself.
Like a young girl peering through a gap in her blanket at the darkness beyond, she watched.
She saw endless black mud surging and churning.
She also perceived a strange city in the darkness. Behind it stood a massive gate, its upper half protruding from the black mud at an angle.
Florrie saw the Gate of Spirituality.
This was the symbol of the current Wisdom Demigods. Upon seeing the gate, she confirmed that she had not come to the wrong place and that a Demigod truly existed here.
However, she found it difficult to understand.
Why would a mythical being reside in such a place, an Abyss filled with mud and ugliness?
Florrie’s arrival and observation disturbed the being within the Abyss city.
“Screech!” A shrill cry emanated from the darkness.
“Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!” The sound of beating wings filled the air.
A black mass of Eagle Demons flew out, searching everywhere for traces of Florrie, but they could not find her hiding in a crevice of the Dream Realm.
Only Abyss Queen Melde emerged from the darkness. She flew to a place where nothing existed and asked:
“Who are you?”
Though she could not see Florrie, she could sense her presence.
Florrie, hiding in a crevice of the Dream Realm, was also observing Abyss Queen Melde.
She was a winged being possessing God’s Form, with eight wings. One side was dark and the other was light.
She was naked, and her entire body emanated a fallen, evil aura.
Florrie told her: “I am a Wood Nymph.”
“I am the messenger of the gods designated by the Dream Sovereign. Are you the apostle of this deity?”
Florrie did not step forward. She had never seen a deity with such a filthy, fallen aura.
Upon hearing Florrie’s words, the other showed no sign of welcoming her. Instead, she flew into a rage.
“You speak nonsense. What other deities are there?”
“The Lord of Radiance is the only god. He is the only deity in the world.”
The Wood Nymph stared blankly at Melde, not understanding what dream she was having.
“But? He is just an ordinary Wisdom Demigod, isn’t he?”
When Abyss Queen Melde heard someone insulting her deity in this manner, she immediately exploded in fury, spreading her arms. Black mud rose in huge waves that crashed against the world, whipping up a violent storm with her at its center.
“You talk nonsense!”
“Who are you? Are you sent by that false god of the Snake People?”
The Abyss Queen wildly wielded her power, unleashing her evil divine techniques.
But with the Wood Nymph hiding in the Dream Realm, the Abyss Queen’s power struck only empty space.
Florrie did not understand why the other was so angry and said, “It seems you do not welcome me, so I shall leave.”
Seeing that communication was impossible, the Wood Nymph retrieved her flower stem.
She turned and departed.
Florrie traversed space to enter the Dream Realm, vanishing into the distance in the blink of an eye.
Though the Wood Nymph race’s power could not be considered mighty, their innate talents made it impossible for ordinary beings to detain a race that commanded spatial power and possessed the gift of traversing the Dream Realm.
“Spirit Realm?”
“You hide in the Spirit Realm?”
At that moment, Abyss Queen Melde employed the power of the Gate of Spirituality to break the barrier between reality and illusion.
“You think you can hide in the Spirit Realm from me!”
“Come out!”
Using the power of the Gate of Spirituality, she opened an entrance to the Dream Realm and pursued Wood Nymph Florrie.
Melde led countless Eagle Demons upward, a black mass surging toward the Dream Realm entrance.
However, just as they reached the Dream Realm, a golden light suddenly appeared overhead.
A massive boat approached from afar, radiating a brilliance like the sun.
It was the Divine Boat that traveled between the Creator’s Domain and dreams, a sacred vessel that carried the dreams of all living beings.
Sequence number 2.
This Miracle Tool, having undergone several transformations, was no longer as it once was and now possessed overwhelming power.
Melde, who had opened the Gate of Spirituality, and her numerous Eagle Demons directly encountered the great boat.
The scene resembled a line of beings leaping into lava.
“Screech!”
The Eagle Demons cried out in agony. They melted under the sun-like radiance, transforming into black sludge that evaporated beneath the light.
As the light swept across, everything was reduced to ashes.
“Aah!”
Even the Abyss Queen screamed under that radiance, her black wings melting like wax.
She fled in terror, not daring to look back.
But the golden light from the Dream Realm and the Divine Boat shone into the Abyss.
Even vast sections of the Abyss evaporated.
Only when Melde completely severed the connection with the Dream Realm did the light gradually dissipate.
The Divine Boat continued its journey. Everything that had just occurred seemed not to exist at all. It had merely passed by as usual, emitting its light as always.
But for the monsters within the Abyss, it was like a nightmare.
