When they were putting on her makeup and setting the scene up, she specifically suggested to the show’s artistic team to have the makeup artist stick some glass onto her feet. That display even managed to scare several groups of guests just now.
Boohoo, were my acting skills too bad?
After Gu Ren interrupted her fear like this, Ye Zhi became much more courageous. Gu Ren was by her side, so what was there to be afraid of?
Ye Zhi began to look around at the setting in the hospital with a purely appreciative attitude.
Gu Ren and Ye Zhi walked in the hallway of the haunted hospital ever so recklessly, not at all conscious of being in a horror scene.
Netizens in the live broadcast room were amused by their reactions.
“Leave a bit of mercy and reputation for the ghosts and just pretend to scream,”
“Now that’s my idols, behaving as calm as ever. The ghosts are all K.Oed(1).”
(T/N: Gaming term, though now used normally as well. Comes from the word ‘knockout’ and is an abbreviation of it)
“I can imagine the psychological struggle of the female ghost staff just now. It’s probably something like, ‘it’s not like I don’t want to scare them, but the opponents were just too strong’.”
Since the competition was still timed, Ye Zhi and Gu Ren quickened their pace and pushed open the doors of the wards one by one. However, none of them found anything that symbolised either of their names.
Finally, they stopped in front of a suspicious ward that was dimly lit. Inside, a patient sat on every bed and there was a nurse standing by each bed respectively.
When Gu Ren and the others opened the door, everyone in the room turned their heads silently, gazes fixed on them.
Their faces were pale and seemed devoid of any sign of life as the invisible tension in the air began to spread.
The light in the room was weakly lit and Ye Zhi immediately looked at Gu Ren, who squeezed her hand gently.
Ye Zhi knew that Gu Ren couldn’t find clues in the room because of his night blindness, so she had to step forward this time.
In order not to make netizens suspicious of his lack of participation, when Ye Zhi was searching, Gu Ren still held her hand tightly and stayed by her side.
Ye Zhi planned to take the record sheet directly from the hands of the first nurse ghost. She thought that perhaps there would be clues displayed on it.
Ye Zhi guessed correctly, but the ghost nurse took a step back— she was also a CP fan. With a heart full of selfish desires, she wanted Gu Ren and Ye Zhi to complete more intimate tasks.
“Please choose a nurse to complete the task.”
Ye Zhi didn’t move, “I’ll just pick you then.”
As soon as she spoke, a ghost nurse at the back walked in front of Ye Zhi with a few strides and shoved the record sheet into Ye Zhi’s arms.
“Use mine.”
It was the first time that Ye Zhi met someone who actively offered to provide clues. In order to help Gu Ren see things clearly, Ye Zhi grabbed a flashlight from the hand of one of the patient ghosts.
The light of the flashlight flashed over the sheet and the small aperture of light fell over the lines of words. Gu Ren leaned over slightly and both their gazes were fixated on the report.
“During the search process, one of the guests should pick up the other in a bridal carry to complete the next task.”
“Location hints for items: your starting point is the ending point.”
Ye Zhi was stunned and subconsciously looked at the nurse ghost who had hastily given them the clues. With excitement flashing in her eyes, her intentions were very obvious.
The first nurse ghost felt like she should be their leader. She suppressed her anger at the interruption and tried to speak in a cold tone.
“Please start now.”
