Chapter 106: Reylin's call
[Author's note: Check out my new story, My wife's sisters want me to make a harem?!, and give a power stone or two if you liked, as I need those for WPC Contest. Thanks.]
"It's bad! It's really bad!" Maya yanked Reylin's arm.
They were in a school, on the third floor, with all other third years glancing at them with similar expressions.
No one knew that Reylin had someone already, so the rumors spread further.
Vis was also not here, so no one could dispel those thoughts.
Anyone would know that Maya and Reylin weren't into each other should he be here!
As usual, Maya was clueless about others and herself, and she stuck close to Reylin while sucking a straw.
Reylin snatched her orange juice and took a few sips, "What?" He glared at her from above.
A small hero flinched from seeing the same straw between his lips, then said, "We don't have any profit!"
"Profit, huh... You have set your goals high, Maya," Reylin sucked on the straw faster, then sneered at her after he let it go.
Maya flinched again, and she said, "We need to set up the business with other provinces! But no one visits us, and we also spend a lot of our guild money on the capital's resurgence..."
"That's why I said you set your goals high. Other than capital, you've been saving the whole province. They all need money, and you are a guild without a steady income. The entire region is the same.
Anyway, you need money, right? Call Titiana here." Reylin decided he would help his mother a little.
He smirked and called Maya's friend, who was the brain of their guild.
Titiana awkwardly stepped into the third year's floor, then ran toward Maya as if the hero's presence was needed to stay straight.
She glanced at Reylin and greeted him, "Good morning."
"Why are you all scared of the third years?" Reylin squinted his eyes, then snatched her orange juice.
He then threw an apple one, "I prefer orange."
"I don't mind either..." Titiana popped the hole with a straw and enjoyed the apple juice, ignoring the question.
Left without anything to drink, Maya took her used straw and requested some apple and orange juice from both of them!
Reylin retorted, "Take out your phone and check the crammed with newbie players' cities."
"Okay!" Maya took out her phone, "Hehe! This is-"
"A new brand phone! Yes, we know," Titiana narrowed her eyes, silencing the happy hero who kept giggling at her phone.
Everyone around Maya went easy on her as she was too cute, but Titiana didn't coat her words and stopped each time she was around!
Reylin nodded with content, "People can choose their beginner city. They spawn in the city based on their real-life location if they don't. Anyway, due to some events across the continent, people began choosing a few cities. Which ones?"
Titiana read the cities out, "Bam City, Immas City, and Wawam City..."
"Note these cities, and keep Exodium and the closest one to your province as well. Now, no newbie player can choose your city. This is to our advantage."
Maya and Titiana blinked while staring at Reylin.
They were getting quite excited.
Maya also slipped out what she wanted to talk about, "Titiana said that you could summon The Red Sky to attract new players! They start with some money, and they could use it in our capital! I also knew from Lioness that you like fireworks!"
The hero formed guns and giggled, "Let out fireworks and make a show! We will be grateful and repay you in the future!"
Reylin gawked at her, then burst out laughing, "I have a better idea. On my holidays, I met an interesting fellow. All you have to do is prepare a scene. Leave that to residents. As for your players, mobilize them and make escorts for new players. Faynom World is in quite a big predicament."
"Why does it feel like you are the cause for that predicament?" Maya and Titiana said while gazing at Reylin's smirk.
"Alright, you two cuties got me," Reylin shrugged with a smile.
His words made the two girls blush, and they quickly forgot about the predicament. Their hearts somewhat pounded faster, and the hero had it the worst.
Fortunately, Reylin switched the topic and explained his plan, "A lot of new players will swarm your city soon. I actually don't remember how much money newbies get, but check it and make it half the entrance fee."
He summarized, "You will get money for escorting players, the entrance fee, and I guess the concert."
"Concert?" Girls repeated with confusion rippling in their eyes.
Alas, Reylin didn't answer them.
He left them alone, and all they saw was him perfectly throwing an empty juice box into the bin.
Titiana flinched, "Let's return... They all look at me again!"
"It's your fault for having big boobs!" Maya laughed and escorted her friend back to their classroom.
-
Reylin entered the school's roof.
"Ah! Ah! Ah!" Moans assaulted him from the side.
He saw third school years his age doing some lewd stuff on the roof... He sighed and commented, "Can't you just skip school and do it on..."
A memory from the dungeon flashed in his mind.
Reylin corrected himself, "Life's short. Enjoy it."
A couple blushed at his words and quickly ran away from the roof.
Reylin took out a phone and dialed one of a few contacts he had... "William? Are you free next week?"
"Has mother bribed you?" William laughed from the other side.
Reylin clicked his tongue.
His brother heard, "Haha! You can't even imagine my face when I saw you calling me. It's your last year, so you gotta have fun. Ah, after school, I immediately created my own label, and facing peers was a rare event, to say nothing of people younger than me..."
Wiliam reminisced about his past and the time when he stepped into adult life. He used their second brother's help much due to him being a lawyer and stuff... All those older and boring people were a pain in the ass!
William shared his days, but Reylin bluntly said, "My adult life will focus around the game, so even younger players can be my 'workers'. Anyway-"
"What anyway?! How can you not like when underclassmen call you senior?!" William snapped, clearly missing those days.
He wasn't so popular then, and he could spend time with others casually...
"No one calls me senior," Reylin replied.
"I heard the game has changed you, but that woman is still in your eyes..." William wiped his tears.
"Fuck Yvonne, actually... I'm dating Aria now and have fun in the game world too. Come in and see. Keep that secret from mother, though," Reylin said with a big smile.
"Oh boy, I can imagine you two too well... I take on your offer, Reylin," William nodded with his lips up a few times, clearly surprised but also happy for his younger brother.
And that was what pulled William into the game!
His brother changed indeed!
Later on, Reylin had received a message from his mother thanking him.
It seemed like she couldn't convince older brothers to have some fun in-game as well!
Reylin smiled faintly, then hopped into the game.
It was time to level up again with those mini-bosses!
