Chapter 11: The Flame Goddess
After Reylin got thrown into the prison, he just left a faint remark, "Watch out on the number of players you put in. At some point, should they all log in at once, they will just kill themselves and respawn."
He logged out after witnessing the guard's contorted face.
After a whole day of gaming, Reylin woke up with his hair wet in real life. His body was probably stressed to the unknown state, and he needed some light exercise on the bed.
He moved his legs, clenched, and punched the air for a while before calling out, "Sebastian!"
Reylin's butler barged into the room and bowed, "At your wish, young master!"
"Hungry," Reylin said and closed his eyes.
"I will prepare something quick! Give me five minutes, young master!" Sebastian bowed again and turned around.
"Did something happen in my absence?" Reylin asked just before Sebastian left the room.
The butler gulped and said, "Young Master has become known due to that incident with players... Various comments are going on, but mostly negative. Young Master also has received a few calls, and Miss Yvonne has left one message..." The last name forced Reylin's eyes open.
All his old 'friends' had left one message each, but Sebastian didn't mention them.
Yvonne was a particular case, and she couldn't be ignored.
Her family status was the same as the Crown Family, but they were from a different continent. Nonetheless, international businesses were inseparable and an essential part of politics.
Thus, her family and the Crown were in constant contact.
Alas, the family wasn't why Yvonne couldn't be ignored.
Reylin sighed and raised his body off the bed. He took a seat in his chair and clicked his mouse a few times. On the screen, the recent news unfurled, and he saw the promising players and the theories about their unique classes or skills.
Reylin was on the list, and his class was rumored to be, "The Flame Demon?" He sighed for the second time before closing the list.
Flames were the best as they were.
They didn't need to be demonic or any different.
That was it.
"Young Master, your food is ready!" Sebastian entered the room exactly after five minutes, and he put the plate with food carefully.
Reylin instantly dug.
Standing behind, Sebastian stood silent and didn't dare to open his lips. At this point, after serving Reylin for many years, he knew that asking for his thoughts about the negative comments was unnecessary.
Reylin wouldn't care, and if someone said something to his face, he would adapt.
Should someone compare him to other brothers, he probably would snap and throw some bombs.
But random people from the net? Reylin utterly didn't care.
"I got imprisoned," Reylin chuckled.
"I am not surprised, Young Master." Sebastian nodded, "Did Young Master light up the forest? That could have threatened a lot of lives, and I am sure the royal family reacted accordingly."
"You sure know me well. Yeah, I did exactly that. To be honest, I thought they would take care of it without problems... Apparently, it's too many resources and work." Reylin sighed.
Alyona told him that no casualties were recorded, and no bodies were found. A lot of time hadn't passed by then, and the flames didn't spread to utterly erase the bodies. Besides, Alyona also said they had magic items to check for the souls.
No soul was found, so there were no casualties.
Sebastian nodded with relief, "That's great."
The silence unfolded between them, and their eyes remained on the screen.
Soon, a person Reylin didn't want to see would appear here, but even Sebastian wasn't so fond of her. If he could choose, he would have gone back to the other room! But Reylin didn't say anything, so he stood and eased up the atmosphere.
Sebastian asked, "How was the game world? It was like watching live-action, young master."
"I checked a few things out of curiosity. The game developers did a good job of reproducing the real world. Weak-minded should search for private psychologists, however." Reylin chuckled.
"Blood and gore, the flesh and broken bones... I saw a few videos with horrid scenes.
If such gore scenes weren't mentioned in terms of services, the game developers would have been swarmed by lawyers." Sebastian faintly smiled.
At last, Reylin clicked on the mouse and called Yvonne.
That small talk and food were enough to bring him back to his mood.
Sebastian also passed a lighter for Reylin, and the flames flickered next to him.
On the screen, Yvonne's face appeared.
The moment Reylin saw her, Yvonne waved her hand, "Hi, Reylin! Have you gotten a girlfriend?"
"I haven't."
"Oh, this makes me worried. You are still not interested in girls at this age?" Yvonne shook her head sadly.
"No one can tame me except my waifu," Reylin replied.
"But I am not going to date you," Yvonne tilted her head, smiling teasingly at him.
She was half right, though.
Reylin met her for the first time when he was fourteen years old. Back then, Yvonne was already looking mature as a sixteen years old lady. Her appearance struck Reylin as she was born with red hair and eyes.
Her skin was pale but healthy, and her oval face was overly cute. This matched dangerously well with her well-matured body and those two jutting out bombs.
Back then, Reylin was already thinking of the goddess of flames, the flame woman, and so on.
So when he saw Yvonne for the first time, his heart fluttered.
Alas, Yvonne had said the wrong words.
[Fireworks? You mean useless and fleeting things that people waste money on?]
"How much did you pay for those sappers after my last visit, bitch?" Reylin's hand clenched as he remembered her words.
That was not only it but as the wealthy politician's daughter, Yvonne was exposed to the big world from the early days. She saw her father both happy and grieving about the international and inside the related business.
She grew into a wicked woman that thought only of herself.
Reylin was aware of her heart after he'd snapped at her.
"A few thousands... I don't really remember. Trivial matter. They found just one hundred bombs... How did you manage to smuggle so much here anyway?" Yvonne asked, despite knowing how.
Reylin spat and said, "Just one hundred? Were those sappers perhaps frauds?" He chuckled and deeply looked into her eyes.
In this way, he planted a little uncertainty in Yvonne's heart, and she surely would call a new group of sappers later on.
Yvonne put the matter aside and asked, "How was your first day in the game world?"
"I was imprisoned," Reylin said with a stoic face.
"Hahaha!" Yvonne immediately burst out laughing, and she said while wiping off her tears, "I thought you had escaped after killing those players, but that can't be it. Anyway, haha! Well, you have joined the ranks of the bad guys, Reylin. Want me to pay your bail?"
"Want me to blow up your face?" Reylin glared.
"I think you want me to blow you instead? That's not happening, though," Yvonne chuckled.
"Look, I am still underage." Reylin snickered.
"Don't play that card on me with a two years gap between us. Aren't you eighteen in just three months? Hmm... Should I send you some nudes for your eighteen birthday? That surely would be the best present for a pyromaniac such as you." Yvonne gave a nice side-glance that caused Reylin to shiver.
He closed his eyes, "Bitch. Say what you want from me."
"So cold despite wanting to see me... Sure," Yvonne read Reylin's heart well and carried on after that small remark, "There are twelve continents in the Faynom World. I am in the continent based on my time zone, and I will work to conquer it. My goal is to subjugate the royal family and become the queen first. This is a long-term plan."
"Oh, the first day, and you already have your eyes set on the throne. Players are happy with battles against monsters, let alone humans. Haha! Hey, Yvonne. I am not interested in being one of your pieces." Reylin waved his hand and glared. 'Anything else?'
"I think you have already felt irritated a few times because of the limitations. Oh, I can't make my flames scream more than bombs in real life! Eh? Something like that?" Yvonne retorted and added while her face brightened from Reylin and Sebastian's reactions, "You will find the most fun in the royal family and the hidden organizations opposing them! I've already entered the Black Wings Royal Family. Don't try to bother them too much until I allow you, okay? That's all from me for now, Reylin! Your big sister Yvonne is going back to the game!"
Yvonne pursed her lips and sent a kiss for Reylin, but he instantly snapped, grasped his lighter, and threw it straight at the screen!
"I will blow up your castle if you become the queen!" Reylin stood up and roared!
"I am very much looking forward to it. I will subjugate you at that time," Yvonne's call turned off.
Reylin threw himself back to the chair, "This woman... This woman..." He clenched his shirt and thrashed on the chair.
She was right!
He answered the call because of her appearance!
That was the waifu he had imagined many times. No, she was more perfect than all Reylin's imagination, but he would never dare to approve of it!
Sebastian held the chair and worriedly asked, "Young Master! Is she really unconquerable?"
As those words rang out, Reylin calmed down, and his eyes narrowed, "Is she really?"
