Chapter 149: One year vacation
Because Reylin's appearance was so damn rare at Christmas Parties, he and Aria gathered a lot of attention from their surroundings.
To say nothing of him, Aria's Family was likewise big, second only due to the Crowns.
Both of them drew many eyes.
Reylin surrounded himself with Sebastian and Alex.
His good friend also had his wife with himself, so they were a pretty good pack. They tried a lot of dishes and exchanged a few greetings with others.
Those greetings were awkward, but people mostly asked about the gaming world since that was what Reylin was known for.
At last, the circle broke.
Sebastian went to speak with other butlers, mainly those who served the Crown Descendants round-the-clock.
His colleagues were interested in Reylin's change, and Sebastian likewise wanted to talk with his good friends.
Aria also found a circle of beautiful ladies invited by the crowns themselves, so she excused herself and exchanged drinks with them.
Alex and his wife were the same.
Left alone, Reylin sighed and poured a drink for himself.
He was alone for around ten minutes before William popped out, "You will have to snatch back Aria from them in an hour. That's when we will eat together with our parents."
Reylin smiled, "I know."
William smiled widely in response, "Let's bother our big brothers, then. After your declaration, I think all of them are more interested in the gaming world. That was pretty cool, younger brother."
He whispered and smiled in his usual mood, then took Reylin to the unique circle.
Although Crown Descendants were surrounded by many, no one dared to bother them once they all gathered.
Now that four of them sat down by the same table, people made a clear distance between them, and servants occasionally stepped in to deliver drinks and food.
Crown Liam's eyes rose as he faced Reylin, "You look like a different person without that signature smirk."
"You will see it often should you watch streams or play the game," Reylin sneered, then took the seat.
The oldest crown laughed, "So, have you already researched the company?"
Reylin's eyes narrowed, and he stared at his brother with incredulity. Perhaps, his brother already saw through his worries, but how could he? Just from watching how the world unfolded and its events?
Liam brought a glass with a drink to his lips, "I am addicted to studying. It became a habit of mine to study whatever I would do next... After the mother's call, I spend a little of my free time in the game world's forums and news.
And I was surprised to see the company's lackluster involvement in the game." Crown Liam's eyes closed, "The question I have is whether they tempered your character or you've found dragon's heritage, Reylin?"
As that question rang out, Reylin understood that his brother saw through the game world without even playing it.
He sighed and said, "I haven't found any dragon lineage nor had contact with the company. I visited them after that event, though."
Although Reylin signed a contract, he just ignored it and said, "The company boss is also gone."
"Hey, what are you talking about?" William glanced at his brothers, then laughed, "You talk as if the game world was the real world."
Crown Lawrence stayed silent all the time, but he inwardly understood what these two hinted.
He nodded after William's words, then silently took a sip.
Crown Liam sighed, "That's just my speculation. The company might have made a few strict decisions to make the game world as real as possible. Regardless of whether that world is real or not, I would still ask for it to appear in our world.
That's because it brought out your real self, Reylin. That world sparked your heart and allowed you to bring out your Crown.
The Crown perhaps no one of us deserves," Liam genuinely smiled.
"Even though the players brought more nightmares than ever?" Reylin asked.
His eldest brother shook his head, "People die as we speak. In both worlds, that is. If we are right, you should pay more attention to dark matter people.
Their control already snatched back your log-out button. Since they haven't used it yet on players, their limit is their own dimension. They can grow, and so you can. We shouldn't think of what happened, but what can happen," Crown Liam said.
He put an empty glass onto the table, then stood up, "I've saved countless people on Earth. Might as well achieve the same feat in another world. You don't have a solution to the resident's black hearts, do you?"
"We don't," Reylin replied.
Liam faintly smiled, then raised his hand.
His butler approached him swiftly and immediately, "Young Master Liam, what do you wish for?"
"I am taking a one-year vacation. Notify everyone of my absence in a few days," Crown Liam said, then strutted forward.
His butler blinked a few times, not believing his ears, but he promptly recorded the order as he saw chuckling brothers.
"He's pretty excited," Crown Lawrence said.
"Is he?" Crown William questioned.
His second brother just smiled, then took out his phone, "I will also take one year vacation, then. It's a dangerous world as of now, but who are we? Someone has to do the dirty work."
"Haha! I see! Well, it's time to sing some Merry Christmas! It's my time to shine," William dropped all serious talks and bypassed his first brother to take the scene for himself.
Reylin followed them with relief and genuine happiness.
He snatched Aria along the way.
They all sang the songs by the table, then revelled the main dishes.
After tasting a little, Crown Liam's eyes shifted to William, "How is your gaming?"
"I do crit every time I do something! Like, I have critical bleeding and stuff! It's so fun, you know? I like when people get shocked by it too! Haha!" William laughed.
Crown Lawrence chuckled, "Then, you take off your mask."
"And they say, as expected of the Crown! Haha!" William burst out laughing!
Crown Liam reached out for Reylin, "I look forward to playing with you."
"Me too," Reylin nodded, "I will leave the black heart's disease to you. You will definitely fix it as you also hold the crown, Brother."
That short exchange melted Crown Eva's heart!
Everyone was all smiles, then people scattered back to their rooms in the Crown's Palace and surrounding houses!
