Chapter 171: Split up
"Seems like we are in Bonna Continent," Crown Liam inferred in the middle of their journey toward Milkyona's Kingdom.
He studied humanity's anatomy and how mana coursed through bodies to enhance his gameplay. That was connected to the past, so Crown Liam naturally learned about continents and a little bit of their past.
Bonna Continent, in the past and present, had the most Milkyona believers. It was a continent with many volcanoes, and snow never fell here. Winter never found a place for itself here, and it was a warm continent overall.
Reylin nodded, "It is doubtful for us to avoid some trouble. Our goal should be to silently experience the ascended deeds, but we also should think of the future."
"What do you mean?" Emilia asked, "Be more direct!" And then she elbowed her beloved in a usual way.
Reylin chuckled, "Teleports should work now. We can't learn about them since they are jammed in the present. Still, if we take usable ones with ourselves and study them in the Crown Continent, we should be able to make them work between other continents. Second layers as well. It wouldn't hurt to go around different races and ask about it."
Those became the goals for the Crimson Dragon's party.
Everyone still paid attention to their time. No one wanted to be in the past for too long, and players didn't want to spend days in the game. Their bodies were still at risk, after all.
As their journey toward Milkyona's kingdom continued, the party talked the most about time travel.
All were scared to leave any profound impacts on the citizens and other races.
"Here we are," Reylin's eyes rose at the towering walls.
Those walls were so tall one would think their purpose was to fend off giants. Even from afar, Reylin could see many humans going atop these, vigilantly keeping attention on their surroundings.
Emilia inferred, "A few steps forward, and we will be found."
The kingdom before their eyes was so much protected by the walls that no one could peek inside or see anything other than it.
"Our main problem is teammates who look far from humans," Crown Liam glanced at ghosts, then fire monsters.
All those existences shifted their eyes to him.
He laughed, "Crimson Dragon's Eyes reveal his identity. In his case, closing his eyes would do, though."
All monsters dropped their heads low as it was indeed the case.
If they were to equip robes, the humans still would order to take them off. Reylin also didn't want to use brute force as even a little existence could be the reason for the future's heroes. It was not uncommon for heroes to have a poor origin, was it?
Reylin sighed, "Emilia. You will lead a small party to Milkyona's Kingdom. Learn about their affairs and whether they have any incoming war. Listen to the stories about her and try to find any clue to the teleports and second layer.
We will remain hidden here," Crimson Dragon declared.
He didn't want to part with anyone, but the situation required it.
Of course, Emilia would lead the usual party with players and residents from the Crimson Dragon's Personal Army. All knew her and respected her fire skills. They also liked her wholeheartedly, so Emilia's life was not at stake at all.
All would protect the lady not due to her being the Crimson Dragon's woman but due to what Emilia had achieved so far in the Scarlet Flake Kingdom.
Emilia nodded with a resolution, "We will come with abundant information!"
"Yes!" Her teammates howled in response, eager to get their mission done flawlessly!
Crown Liam laughed, "Let me go with them. Although I haven't worked too much with you guys, I know how to speak with people."
"Are you implying something, brother-in-law?" Emilia asked with squinted eyes.
"Dear sister-in-law," Crown Liam pushed his glasses, "You often let emotions control your speech. At worst, you also dare to punch us, brothers. I would rather have an eye on you and keep the talk done."
Emilia's teammates nodded, betraying their lady!
A former nun trembled from embarrassment. Her lips parted and closed a few times, trying to find something to refute. Anger soon flashed in her eyes, then Emilia turned her eyes to Reylin to find help.
He smiled at her widely with his usual smile, which utterly dismantled Emilia.
Reylin said, "I love you this way."
It wasn't rare for Emilia to be happy, then quickly turn angry! Her emotional outbursts were the usual topic for Reylin, but his smile was what utterly settled Emilia's emotions. She stood with scarlet cheeks and resolved herself even more.
While all laughed due to that scene, Crown Liam clapped his hands, "We can't go there without clothes intact. We need to take spare equipment and have our monsters tear them apart a little. We are in the past where humans fight against races every day."
"That's true!" Emilia nodded, trying to add some value herself.
Crown Liam hid his smile, then clicked on the system, "Let's see... I guess this one will do." He took out spare equipment and threw it toward the fire four-legged monsters.
They showed hesitation, but their claws soon cleft those clothes as their masters told them to do so. Other people from Emilia's party threw their clothes as well.
On the other hand, Emilia skipped her way toward Reylin.
"Tear some of my clothes," Emilia whispered.
Reylin naturally didn't raise any objection.
He even found out that this kind of stuff was quite fun and arousing. He proposed it for some fun next week, to which Emilia agreed.
After some tattered parts got carried away due to wind, Crown Liam brought a knife to his cheek and slid it.
He did it on a few other spots as well, then requested one big claw strike on his chest! That was yet again another cover to their identity.
Emilia saw it with big eyes, then turned her eyes to Crimson Dragon.
Reylin's pet, that was!
"Be gentle!" she whispered to the beast whose big eyes blinked a few times.
It was time to split up.
