“Nice!” Wang Xuanzhan roared as he struck out with lightning flashing around his spear.

The huge golden tiger’s claws collided with the tip of the spear, causing a blast of energy to radiate all around them.

Wang Xuanzhan was knocked back a few steps by the force of the collision, and the huge tiger also flipped onto its back before landing heavily on the ground.

“Hehehe, not bad, kid.” The giant tiger smirked.

Golden gales of wind suddenly began to whip up within a thirty feet radius of the tiger, reducing the surrounding trees to sawdust before burning them into non-existence.

An Lin stumbled back in retreat at the sight of this as his breathing began to accelerate. This was a complete domain!

You had to defeat a soul beast just for an iron holy grail? This trial was way too hard!

An Lin felt like he should just stand off to the side. With his pitiful level of strength, he would only get in the way if he were to join in on the battle.

Dragon scales began to surface on Wang Xuanzhan’s body as his aura began to increase in power. Thick, dark clouds began to obscure the sky above as flashes of thunder and lightning exploded in the sky.

His surroundings began to transform into his electric domain as bolts of lightning flashed like countless serpentine dragons around him. He had completely activated the bloodline of the ancient dragon clan, thereby allowing him to summon up terrifying power.

An Lin nodded in approval and admiration. This was the true power of a cultivator of Soul Formation Stage; the pressure he created was a lot stronger than even the huge golden tiger.

The huge golden tiger quivered as he sensed Wang Xuanzhan’s overwhelming power, and he unleashed an ear-splitting roar at Wang Xuanzhan, which transformed into golden shockwaves hurtling toward the cultivator.

The roar shook the ground around them in a radius of five kilometers, causing the ground around them to fracture and quake.

An Lin and Liu Qianhuan could only cover their ears in agony.

Wang Xuanzhan stood completely unfazed by his opponent’s soundwave attack.

“You call that a roar?” Wang Xuanzhan sneered as he too unleashed a dragon roar in response, “Roar!”

The roar which was imbued with peerless dragon might and the sound of exploding lightning instantly drowned out the huge golden tiger’s roar while causing the ground a thousand feet radius around them to cave in under the pressure.

An Lin and Liu Qianhuan could only cover their ears in pain. Not only were their eardrums about to burst, they felt as if they were about to be concussed from the shockwaves, and they almost blacked out while frothing at the mouth.

“Team leader, stop it with the friendly fire!” An Lin howled in anguish, but his voice was instantly dispelled by the terrifying soundwaves exploding around them.

The two of them were about to cry.

Just fight, for God’s sake! Why are they holding a roaring contest?

At this rate, his two teammates would die before the battle even began…

The huge golden tiger spat out a mouthful of blood at Wang Xuanzhan’s roar and stared at him with incredulity.

It wanted to use its roar to intimidate its foe, but it didn’t expect its opponent to have an even louder roar than he did.

No… this guy is far too strong for me…

The huge golden tiger’s intuition told it that it was about to die if it didn’t escape soon.

“Go to hell, Tiger Slaughter Divine Technique!”

It roared as it slapped its paws violently onto the ground, causing dust and debris to rise up all around them.

Wang Xuanzhan’s whole body tightened as he prepared to meet the tiger’s technique.

Three seconds later, his expression turned into one of rage. “Sh*t, it’s trying to run!”

Lightning crackled around his body as he pounced toward the direction where the tiger had escaped to.

An Lin and Liu Qianhuan were still rooted to the spot with their hands firmly clasped over their ears.

Tears began to well up in Liu Qianhuan bright purple eyes. “An Lin, am I deaf? Why can’t I hear anything…”

An Lin opened his mouth and shouted in confusion. “Huh? What did you say?!”

Liu Qianhuan saw An Lin’s lips move and also responded in kind. “Huh? What did you say?!”

“Bastard, you aren’t escaping!”

Wang Xuanzhan’s body transformed into the afterimage of a lightning dragon as he struck out with flashes of lightning intertwining his spear.

He was as swift as lightning and afforded the tiger almost zero reaction time.

The tiger only had time to twist slightly in the air before the spear pierced through the side of its body, sending bolts of lightning flashing for a thousand feet through the puncture wound and tearing apart the ground below it.

Blood spilled everywhere as the tiger collapsed to the ground, howling in anguish.

Wang Xuanzhan did not stop. Instead, he pounced toward the tiger, mercilessly slashing down with his spear in a terrifying display of power.

“Bowing Dragon Head!”

As the spear fell, the shadow of an azure dragon appeared and pounced down toward the tiger.

The tiger supported itself up onto its hind legs as it unleashed its domain to the fullest extent. A shadow of a huge golden tiger’s head appeared above it, and it roared as it met the shadow of the azure dragon head-on.

Boom!

The azure dragon and the tiger’s head collided and began to tear at each other with their sharp teeth. Terrifying explosions of energy erupted all around them, causing the ground to cave in as violent streams of turbulence created gale-forced winds around them.

In the end, the azure dragon vanquished the tiger head.

His long spear slashed down and pierced through the head of the tiger…

“Congratulations! The Heavenly Court has received one point!”

Vice-Principal Yu Hua’s voice sounded in the air.

An Lin and Liu Qianhuan who were following the trail of destruction all faltered at the announcement before whooping in celebration.

“Haha, Senior Wang sure is reliable, it looks like he took care of that tiger!” Liu Qianhuan waved her fists around excitedly.

After a period of deafness, they finally recovered their hearing and were in the process of making their way toward where Wang Xuanzhan was.

“It seems like there’s an announcement each time a holy grail is obtained, which means that the other teams clearly haven’t obtained any yet, so we’ve drawn first blood!” An Lin laughed excitedly.

Each and every point mattered, so even if it was just a single point, it was still a nice lead.

Elsewhere in the Zhong Long mountain ranges.

Augus sighed with emotion as he raised his head to stare off into the distance. “As expected of the Heavenly Court representatives, they’ve already gotten a point.”

Shirley chuckled lightly and waved her hands. “Let’s not fight for the top spot with them. If An Lin gets serious, not even the Defeat Judgement Seal can save us.”

Augus nodded in agreement. “Of course we’ll do our best to avoid confrontation against the Heavenly Court’s representatives. But as for the Buddhist Kingdom and Hall of Creation… we should still do our best against them!”

An Lin was someone that was powerful enough to slay even the Dark Night Monarch, so they weren’t dumb enough to pick a fight with An Lin. After all, they could only live once, so they should not let it go to waste.

The Buddhist Kingdom representatives also heard the announcement from above, but they had no time to react.

Because they were currently being chased by a bone dragon with an iron holy grail on its head…

“Fellow junior monks, go and hide in the ditch there!” Qing Zhi yelled as the 99 Buddhist prayer beads in his hands flew toward the bone dragon to form a restrictive spell formation that trapped the bone dragon within momentarily.

Qing Xin and Qing Yan charged toward the ditch with tears in their eyes.

What a pitiful experience this trial was for them. They were ecstatic when they saw the bone dragon presented the holy grail to them on a platter.

But then they found that they were no match for the bone dragon and were reduced to running for their lives. What a tragic fate…
