Just as An Lin and Su Qianyun were enjoying a reunion embrace, Duan Tianyu crawled up from the ground looking as if he had seen a ghost.

His charred body stood up unsteadily, and he opened his bleary eyes, only to find that someone was abusing single people and couldn’t help but spit out a mouthful of blood. [1. There’s an analogy in China that being lovey-dovey is essentially visual abuse for people who are single, so that’s what “abusing single people” means here]

“F*ck you, Duan Tianyu, are you f*cking crazy?!” Dong Tian gritted his teeth as he lay on the ground.

“Cough… Go kill yourself if you want to die, don’t f*cking try to take me along with you!” Kong Ling sat up and also spat out a mouth of blood.

Only Ding Mao sat in silence without moving.

It wasn’t that he wasn’t angry; it was only because he was dead and no longer capable of being angry.

Duan Tianyu didn’t even know how to explain the situation. He had directed the four lightning dragons toward the woman but the lightning dragons suddenly changed directions out of his control. How was he supposed to explain something so bizarre?

However, he wasn’t stupid. He knew that the man who had just appeared was most likely the perpetrator behind his loss of control.

“What? Weren’t you acting like a cocky little bastard just then? Where’s your spunk now?”

An Lin walked toward Duan Tianyu with a devilish smile on his face.

Duan Tianyu grimaced and spoke in a cold voice, “Who are you? I’m here under the orders of Battle God Xu Ming to kill the murderer of the king of the Da Zhou Nation. If you dare to lay a hand on me, you’ll be viewed as an enemy of the Ao Xin Empire!”

“Hehe, so your king is allowed to try and rape whoever he wants, but his targets can’t retaliate in self-defense?

“Alright, I get it, strength is everything in this world… I won’t waste my time with words. I’ll spare your wretched life, f*ck off back to your Battle God Xu Ming and tell him… I don’t give a sh*t about your Oreo Empire or Ao Xin Empire or whatever. If I don’t like how you look, I’ll tip your whole f*cking empire on its head!” An Lin spoke with a resolute expression.

“You… How dare you!” Duan Tianyu glowered at him and clenched his fists in rage. He didn’t expect An Lin to completely disregard the threat of Battle God Xu Ming.

However, he didn’t even have the chance to flare up in anger before he was kicked away by An Lin.

An Lin walked toward Dong Tian next.

Dong Tian glared at him in rage and hatred. “You’ll pay for this!”

“Oh.” An Lin nodded with a cold expression and sliced his head off.

Dong Tian’s eyes were still wide with shock as it detached itself from his head.

“How dare you kill him!” Duan Tianyu roared in rage.

“I said I’d spare your wretched life and I’ll deliver as I promise.” An Lin replied coldly and made his way toward Kong Ling.

Kong Ling’s body trembled in fear as he forced a seductive smile onto her face. “Sword Immortal An Lin, Kong Ling is willing to become your slave and do anything you want for you if you can spare my life…”

Her char-grilled features coupled with her attempt at a seductive smile made An Lin’s eyes water. “I refuse.”

A black streak flashed past and Kong Ling was also slain.

He then turned his gaze upon Duan Tianyu. “F*ck off out of here, otherwise my hand might slip!”

Duan Tianyu’s body trembled at his words, but he didn’t dare to retort and could only leave in disgrace.

Everything was over.

An Lin stowed away his Evil-Slaying Sword and exhaled deeply.

Su Qianyun walked toward him with dainty little steps and looked at him with curiosity in her dreamy blue eyes. “What did you just say to them? And why did you let that man go?”

An Lin smiled and recounted their exchange before giving Su Qianyun a general summary of the world they were in.

Su Qianyun’s eyes widened in shock. “Doesn’t that mean you’re basically declaring war on the most powerful warrior on this continent? Why would you do that?!”

An Lin ruffled her hair with a smile. “Because I met you. Think about it, our other team members must be out there somewhere in this world, so I’m trying to get us famous! I’m sure we’ll be known throughout the whole continent after this…”

A flash of realization appeared in Su Qianyun’s eyes. “Wow, Classmate An Lin, you’re so smart!”

An Lin fell into an involuntary daze at her vibrant, dazzling smile and could only gasp internally at her beauty.

As for what they were going to do next, it was actually quite simple. They just had to make themselves renowned to the entire continent in an attempt to alert the other team members of their existence.

An Lin and Su Qianyun found another resting place and set up another campfire.

An Lin’s BBQ skills had been honed through extensive experience, and he soon had a campfire set up like an expert.

He brought out some of the Heavenly Lake fish from his storage ring and roasted them, much to the delight of Su Qianyun.

The two of them then began discussing the Zhan Qi Continent.

They could roughly gauge the power levels of the ranks through their experience.

If they had to compare them to cultivators on the Tai Chu Continent, Battle Masters and Battle Spirits were the equivalents of Dao Body Stages, and Battle Kings and Battle Emperors were the equivalents to Spirit Nurturing Stage. As for Battle Sages, An Lin and Su Qianyun had yet to encounter one, but they were presumably the equivalent of Soul Formation Stage.

Then there were the Battle Gods who were the most powerful beings on this continent. They could be around Soul Formation Final Stage, or perhaps even stronger…

They had never fought one so they couldn’t give an accurate approximation.

Thus, it could be derived that there was still quite a large disparity between the strength of cultivators on the Tai Chu Continent and the warriors of this continent.

They then moved on to the topic that was confusing both of them. Just what the hell was this Shou Yang Tomb?!

Could it be the portal to an alternate world? This was simply way too far-fetched!

There was another possibility that the Shou Yang Tomb was located somewhere in this alternate world and that there would be a way to leave this world, but they had to be patient and search for it…

The campfire was still burning, and the golden sparks fluttered like fireflies through the air.

Su Qianyun’s perfect features were given a warm golden tinge by the campfire, making her appear especially alluring. “I wonder how the other guys are going. Especially White Spirit Snake and Tian Lingling. They’re only Dao Body Stage, and this unfamiliar world is far too dangerous for them.”

This was a part of Su Qianyun’s character. As soon as her own issues were resolved, she began to worry about others.

“Tian Lingling is really smart and flexible, she’ll be alright. As for White Spirit Snake, I don’t really know much about her so she really is quite a concern…” An Lin nodded. He felt like these two were the weakest link in the team that he had to look out for.

The night was long, and they chatted for a while longer before they began to meditate.

Su Qianyun felt very calm and relaxed that night. Perhaps it was because she was no longer all by herself.

She stole a glance at the man beside her and was greeted to the sight of a handsome, masculine face, with a resolute hint of determination visible between his brows. His presence gave a serene and peaceful feeling… Could this be the so-called sense of security?

Su Qianyun couldn’t help but blush as this thought occurred to her.

She hurriedly closed her eyes and began to meditate in silence again.

The sun slowly crept over the horizon and color returned to the world.

When An Lin and Su Qianyun both opened their bright eyes, they felt like they were brimming with energy and eager to do something.

“Let’s go start something!”

An Lin suggested in high spirits.
