Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse
Chapter 3830: Journey Into The Unknown! IIIChapter 3830: Journey Into The Unknown! III
Golden brilliance poured across the space around them, an endless tide of paradox that bled into every lattice of their surroundings.
The last ripple of the Transcendent Foldpath ebbed, and the final boundary was crossed. As if the entire sea of paradox had been holding its breath, there came a stillness. Then...silence.
Noah’s eyes glimmered, already adjusting to the overwhelming sight as he sensed the shift.
His distinction as the Weaver of Existence- an authority layered with golden and black threads- trembled with longing as it sought to understand. The runes etched in his bones flared with heat, and his Living Wheel of Existence began to spin.
It hummed with a deep and surging anticipation. Like a heartbeat of something that had always been waiting.
True paradox!
His mind flooded with prompts.
The light of Paradox senses an extremely complex and pure brilliance similar to it.
The Living True Source of Loot rises up to observe.
The Living True Source of Cheats wakes from its slumber.
The Living True Source of the Protagonist watches with anticipation!
The Weaver of Existence is making an assessment of the current environment.
The environment finally resolved into clarity.
He was standing atop something wide and solid. For a moment, it seemed like a pillar, but he knew better. He knew the feeling of the structure beneath him.
It was a Spoke.
A Spoke of a Living Wheel of Existence.
It stretched far into the distance, vanishing into golden haze. His gaze couldn’t reach its end. The weight beneath him sang with paradox, the air laden with layered densities that made each breath feel like it was pulled from an ocean of paradoxical wonder.
All around, the sea of paradox gleamed. Not metaphorically. They were literally within a golden ocean of Folds, with Existence twisted into brilliance.
And then, his gaze rose higher.
They were not alone.
Twelve beings stood in silence, encircling the Spoke as it seemed demarcated in their encirclment.
They were tall- impossibly tall. Some appeared as towering humanoids stretching hundreds of meters high, yet when Noah blinked, they were as vast as galaxies. Light-years wide. Sometimes, just wheels of fire and shadow given form!
Foldless Ones.
Each one radiated a majesty so deep it could only be described as quiet horror. Their forms looked forged from the broken bones of ancient Wheels of Existence, skin like folded starlight, their eyes whirlpools of spinning gold or pitch black.
Out of the many races of beings Noah had seen, Foldless Ones were so far winning in terms of how otherworldly and ethereal they looked.
As if they were far above anything and anyone else!
Some bore one wing of obsidian, some had two golden wings folded behind them, and others had no wings at all- just the burning crest of paradox behind their heads.
But every one of them held a Spoke in their hands as if they were holding a spear. Spokes with the authority of Frequencies of Existence!
They looked...like warriors or soldiers standing guard over the gate of something deeper.
Their robes were pale white. Simple in color, yet Noah could feel they were woven from threads pulled out of paradox itself.
And the moment that he, Moiraine, Oryzarakh, and Aetheron appeared...
The twelve titanic Foldless Ones turned. And without wasting a breath, as one...they knelt!
BOOM!
The tips of their spears crashed down upon the larger Spoke they stood upon, the ring of impact echoing like a chime across the golden ocean.
"We welcome you back home, Great Golden Paradox, Moiraine Valoria."
Their voices rang in unison, vast and resonant. Not loud. But present. Like a wind that could carry mountains.
Moiraine didn’t smile. She merely waved a hand, dismissive, her expression smooth as if this was the norm for her.
"Where is the Honored Living Golden Paradox?"
One of the kneeling Foldless Ones rose slightly. "Sir is currently entertaining a group from the Living Silver Paradoxes in the Prime Parathrone Folds. It would be difficult to reach him now."
Moiraine gave a small nod. "Take us to the Goldfolds for now."
The twelve guardians all gave a slight nod to Oryzarakh as well. Then, one by one, their eyes landed on Noah and Aetheron.
Noah stood his ground. His body creaked under the sheer pressure that fell upon him. His Living Wheel groaned beneath the golden light as the gaze of twelve Foldless Ones settled briefly.
Each glance felt like a wheel was being pressed into his spine.
But it did not last long.
The Foldless Ones brought their spears together, all twelve tips converging at the heart of the Spoke. There, a radiant circle began to glow. Then it parted with a burst of Paradox.
A circular gateway...formed.
Through it, Noah could see a sky that was not a sky. It was also space.
It was...too large, too heavy with majesty!
Clouds as wide as continents drifted in golden arcs. Golden suns, galaxies, Cosmos, Existential Domains, Omniverses...all burned, rotating around even larger constructs- Wheels. Living Wheels of Existence, each glowing and rotating in intricate dances.
The entire skyspace thrummed with paradox. As if each motion of the golden stellar bodies and clouds and Omniverses were a contradiction. Beauty that defied logic.
One of the Foldless Ones turned up to Moiraine and spoke as they began to float up towards the opening.
"We have alerted the Foldcrowned Living Paradoxes to escort you shortly."
Moiraine nodded once.
Then, she turned to Noah.
"I welcome you to the Transcendent Paradoxical Folds, an endless array of Folds," she said, her voice solemn.
"At this moment, we are stepping out of one of the nine Schrödinger’s Gateways leading here."
...!
They place they were now leaving- guarded by 12 Foldless Ones!
Her eyes narrowed slightly as she watched Noah’s expression.
"Each Gateway is always guarded by twelve Prime Living Paradoxes who exist and do not exist. They must give permission and must not give permission for anyone seeking entry into this realm."
She let that sink in.
"It ensures that only Living Paradoxes pass through. If you were not one, you would have been crushed to oblivion by the weight of this place alone."
Noah’s gaze did not waver.
He watched the sky ahead. He saw the brilliance. The pressure. The unreachable.
And for the first time since arriving, he truly understood what this place was.
It was the home of Paradox! He knew this as he felt his own Living True Source of Paradox dancing and inching up in complexity and purity!
It was a place where all contradictions found a throne.
Moiraine’s hand rested on his shoulder.
Together, they rose from the Schrödinger’s Gateway. Behind them, Aetheron followed, silent but brimming with tension. Oryzarakh stood as a silent shadow, his presence heavy.
And before them...
Golden skyspace became even more alive!
