Inheritor Of Magic: The Magi King

Chapter 1041 I Claim No Responsibility

Chapter 1041: 1041 I Claim No Responsibility

Wolfe watched as the tiny Faerie stabilized back into a solid form and then began to race around the room in celebration, no longer hampered by the mana fog that was rapidly fading from the room as everyone’s advancements finished.

There was still a heavy draw from his reserves as the Pentacles balanced themselves, with the newest two nearly equal to each other but far behind the level of the first three.

The outliers were the two Elves, who boosted the average for the Fae pentacle to nearly a full Rank ahead of the humans, with the Fae Pentacle sitting at low Rank Six, to the human group’s mid Rank Five.

“This is going to be awesome.” Wolfe laughed as he realized what he had done.

“How, and in what world, is this awesome? You have children with the power of Elder Fae, and absolutely zero idea of what to do with that power. They don’t even know any spells yet, but they have the ability to channel city destroying levels of power.” Saint Josephine reminded him.

Khalifa laughed. “That’s why he thinks it’s awesome. Saint Wolfe Noxus is a harbinger of chaos everywhere that he goes, and he revels in the upheaval of rapid changes and advancements.

Just wait until he starts giving trucks to the Fallen Empire, and they start driving across the Demon Realms to pick fights with the Wrath Demons.”

Wolfe smirked. “I should ask the Queen for a bonus for that. It will be so much more efficient than going looking for the humans when they are lost and slogging through the mud to get to the cities for an attack.”

“Even at the risk of having to admit that you are helping them invade her kingdom? She might make you help clean up the mess.” The Elf asked.

“Good point. Plausible deniability is important. We should let her think they’re doing it all on their own and not because we know that her people enjoy it.”

The other Continental Representatives burst into the room as the mana fog faded, when they could finally sense where Wolfe was.

The Elven Prince laughed as he entered the room. “Well, that was quite the event. I didn’t think that they would all advance at the same time, or all in the same city, except one. I was in Sylvan Coven when the young head of the Priya Family became a Saint, and the entire Fortress is in party mode celebrating her advancement.

Even from there, you could feel the disturbance here like a punch to the face. The witches are celebrating it, as they can tell that it was a large number of witches who became Saints, but they don’t know for certain which ones it was.

The answer is pretty obvious, but until it’s broadcast and confirmed, they will continue to make guesses.”

Wolfe nodded. “We will need a few hours to get things sorted long enough to make even the basics of an announcement. I have also added the last two pentacles, and the resonant power of the fivefold pentacle array is still building.

With three of them at Saint Rank, the power is strong, but it’s only going to continue to grow, and that could cause some issues with my own power stability.

They feed mana back into my mana cores, and Saints feed much more and with greater purity. That alone is going to force my final mana core toward completion, and I still haven’t started looking for the data on the proper methods for King Rank advancements for Magi.

The answers are likely at the bottom of the sea, so I couldn’t just show up. I don’t know exactly where the lost cities are.”

The older Fae nodded, and Overlord Gregory, a Wrath Demon, smiled at Wolfe.

“Well, son. You’re in luck because I was speaking with the water Fae just this morning, and they’re willing to help you find the Noxus Family home, as long as you promise to clean it up before you leave. They don’t care if you get rid of the curses, eliminate the undead, or just raise the entire damned continent, in their words.

So, as long as you hold up your end of the bargain, you can have all the time that you need to get your answers.” He explained.

“They want me to raise the continent?” Wolfe asked, confused.

“They want it, or the unholy magic and curses surrounding it, out of their ocean. So, unless you can cleanse it while it’s underwater, raising the continent is a valid option to them. Now, that would cause a massive upheaval, and tsunami waves all around the world, so I don’t recommend it.

However, it remains an option, so you can do it if you’d like.”

Wolfe just shook his head. He had caused enough chaos in the world without raising a lost continent from the depths of the ocean. It would be easy enough to cleanse the area and remove all the undead, so that would be his first option when he went looking for the lost secrets of the Magi.

“Alright, we have a few days of celebration ahead of us, and then I will talk to the water Fae about cleansing the area and gathering the knowledge that the Noxus Family sent to the bottom of the ocean.” He decided.

“Good choice. I think that they might have a few answers for you themselves, on top of whatever you find in the ruins. The water Fae who survived the Great War have an excellent set of records that they simply refused to share with me.

Not surprising, given that I am a Wrath Demon and not from this world, but they did say that they had excellent records of this world’s history.” Overlord Gregor replied.

Saint Josephine waved her hand upward. “That’s all well and good, but how about we go settle the people above us first? They’ve just undergone something shocking and unprecedented that has put almost their entire leadership group out of commission. These new Pentacle members aren’t going anywhere for a few hours, but they can take care of themselves.”

Khalifa gave the elder Fae a thumbs up. “True, I can still defend myself if something happens. I’m just a bit dizzy, and moving makes the world spin. Go help the others, they’re likely in worse condition.”
