Chapter 614: Identity Revealed

Almost anyone who knew about the Gao Clan knew what they believed in. However, it was not something a single person could achieve. With the way things were at the moment, it was impossible.
As such, the disciples of the Gao Clan rarely mentioned about the hopes and desires of their clan. They understood that they would be very difficult to realize.
“Grandfather, I have something to tell you,” Jun Wulei said with a serious expression. “I did not tell you before because I did not want to shock you.” Jun Wulei gave Mo Wen a reassuring glance as he spoke. He was certain that Gao Clan would not do anything to harm Mo Wen. Even if the worst were to happen, they would refuse to recognize Mo Wen’s identity and would do no more than ignore him.
“Say whatever you have to say quickly,” Gao Hanshan said lightly. Despite his tone, he had sensed that what his grandson wanted to say must be something out of the ordinary. His expression grew serious.
Mo Wen laughed bitterly. He had not expected to encounter such a situation. He did not wish to reveal his identity right now because he was still not strong enough.
His earlier meeting with the third grand elder of the Ming Cult had made Mo Wen realize that he was still far from capable. No wonder Demoness Gong had told him seriously that he must not reveal his identity even if he were to enter the Golden Elixir realm.
Now that he thought about it, he did not have a chance even as a grandmaster, much less as a warrior in the Golden Elixir realm.
He looked around him to find a possible escape route. Even though Jun Wulei told him that he could rest assured, he did not completely believe him. He was not the clan leader, so how would he know what the other members of the clan would think?
Jun Wulei took a deep breath and told Gao Hanshan about Mo Wen’s identity. He brought up Demoness Gong during the conversation. Gong Clan and Gao Clan had a very close relationship. The two had been dealing with each other for centuries. Gong Biluo being on Mo Wen’s side was an important bargaining chip in his favor.
“What, what did you say?!” Gao Hanshan could not believe what he just heard. He waved his hand and clutched Jun Wulei’s shoulder, pulling him up.
“Grandfather, he is indeed the heir of the Ming Cult. He has cultivated the Nine Yang Divine Technique and also possesses the Sacred Flame Insignia.”
One could say that a person who could not possibly exist had emerged. After all, it had been several centuries. If the heir of the Ming Cult was ever going to appear, they would have done so long ago.
The factions that had dealt with the Ming Cult in the past had always thought that the Ming Cult did not have any further legacies. It was believed that the famous Nine Yang Divine Technique had been lost.
“Scoundrel, how dare you hide something so important from me. I should beat you to death.” Gao Hanshan was furious. He threw Jun Wulei onto the ground forcefully. There was a loud crash and Jun Wulei fell into the magma ocean as if he were a meteorite.
“Scoundrel, you deserve a beating. I want to hit him too.” One of the other three elders rubbed his hands together and spat viciously as he looked down at lava sea.
“He does deserve to be taught a lesson. I will train him well when we return,” another elder wearing white robes said.
Then, the four old men all turned to look at Mo Wen.
“What do you all want?” Mo Wen swallowed. The way they were looking at him was odd. He did not know what they intended to do.
“You cultivated in the Nine Yang Divine Technique?” Jun Wulei’s granduncle asked as he stared at Mo Wen.
“Yeah.” Mo Wen nodded. There was no need to hide anymore.
“Show me what the Nine Yang Divine Technique looks like,” the other old man said eagerly. The Nine Yang Divine Technique was a formidable divine technique of the Ming Cult. It was even more powerful than the Nine Yin Divine Technique. Furthermore, there were many martial arts in the Ming Cult that were very closely related to the divine technique.
Mo Wen stretched out his hand silently. Specks of gold light flickered on his hand the moment he stretched it out. Then, his entire hand turned a gold color, as if it was made of pure gold. The power spread from his palms until it covered his entire body. Even his eyebrows were a pure gold color.
Mo Wen stood there as if he were made from gold. He shone with a brilliant golden light. A surge of warmth radiated from his body. It was hotter than the sea of lava.
“It is the indestructible body of Vajrapani. This is indeed the legendary Nine Yang Divine Technique.”
Gao Hanshan’s eyes shone as he stared at Mo Wen. Even though he was a martial arts grandmaster, even his breathing had grown rapid. Martial arts grandmasters rarely showed such changes in their emotions.
“Lad, you have indeed cultivated in the Nine Yang Divine Technique. How did you learn it?”
“Quick, show me the Nine Yang Divine Technique. It was said to be the best neigong mantra in the world. It was known throughout all worlds.”
The two old men from the Gao Clan went up to him eagerly, standing on either side of him.
“I gained the legacy of the Ming Cult by coincidence. As for the Nine Yang Divine technique, forgive me for not being able to give it to you. Only the leader of the Ming Cult can practice this technique.” Mo Wen took a small step back, putting some distance between him and the old men. The expression he wore was very gracious.
“You gained the Ming Cult legacy by coincidence? Do you know what the last cult leader was called?” Gao Hanshan asked.
“Chang Qingfeng,” Mo Wen replied lightly.
“Did he leave behind any last wishes?”
“There was only one. That the Ming Cult be resurrected and for the legacy of the Ming Cult to be continued.” Mo Wen smiled. He had thought that the last wish was not difficult to realize. But looking at the current situation, it was extremely difficult.
Gao Hanshan nodded and asked, “Do you think you can do it?”
“I don’t know if I can, but I will work hard to do so,” Mo Wen answered lightly. He would not forget what Chang Qingfeng had asked him to do as long as he could do it.
“If I said that this last wish was very dangerous and that you might have to pay the price with your life, what would you do?” Gao Hanshan narrowed his eyes slightly.
“Things that I cannot do now, I won’t do. I will do it in the future when I am capable of it. As for the price I have to pay, since I have already agreed to do it, then I will not regret it,” Mo Wen replied.
“If you never have the ability to do it then?” There was a gleam in Gao Hanshan’s eyes.
“I am capable, no matter who is blocking me.” Mo Wen had answered Gao Hanshan’s persistent questioning gracefully. Perhaps to others, this was an impossible mission. However, he had never thought so.
“You do have some spirit. However, I want to see what kind of ability you have.” Gao Hanshan laughed coldly. He turned his palm and a terrifying power erupted from him. The aura swept past them, causing the two old men from the Gao Clan standing beside Mo Wen to take a step back to avoid the sharp light.
However, Mo Wen did not back away. He stood there, his clothes billowing behind him. He looked calm and composed.
His soul power was not any lower than that of a martial arts grandmaster’s. Actually, it was even slightly stronger. The power of a martial arts grandmaster might be able to exert some physical pressure on him, but the mental pressure was negligible.
With the strength of his physical body and mind, he would not be frightened by a martial arts grandmaster’s power.
“You have a little spirit. The fact that you are not backing away only tells me that you are ambitious. But it doesn’t mean that you are capable.”
Gao Hanshan reached out slowly and waved backward. A terrifying strong wind swept past them. A large palm gathered before Mo Wen’s body. The palm was formed by invisible gale but could be seen clearly.
In terms of cultivation, Gao Hanshan had an even higher level of cultivation than Bu Xingyi. Mo Wen had rarely seen a martial arts grandmaster with such power. It was obvious that there was now extreme pressure being brought to bear on Mo Wen.
However, Mo Wen had never been afraid of pressure. There had been many close brushes with death during his life, and he was, therefore, able to face any situation calmly. He could do so even if he encountered Bu Xingyi who wanted to kill him.
The power behind a martial arts grandmaster’s palm was shocking. But it did not pose a threat to Mo Wen.
Mo Wen did not use any spiritual weapons at all. He moved quickly and even took a step forward. A gold light rose from his body. His body, which was already shimmering with the indestructible power of Vajrapani, shone even brighter.
A thunderous crash rang out from within Mo Wen’s body. The thunderous crash spread far and wide to such an extent that it could be heard ten miles away.
A terrifying aura rose from Mo Wen. There was a wild surge of power from his body as if it was a streak of lightning.
He moved his palm forward, exactly as Gao Hanshan had done. Mo Wen’s strike was like a mountain pressing down.
Gao Hanshan’s palm of gale could not hold out against it. It dispersed immediately against Mo Wen’s strike.
“What a powerful attack.”
The old men from the Gao Clan who were standing watching all looked at Mo Wen in shock. They could tell that the strength behind Mo Wen’s attack was no weaker than their strength. It was already at the pinnacle of the Golden Elixir realm.
To them, this kind of attack ability was not impressive. But Mo Wen was just a youth and his cultivation was only at the intermediate level of the Golden Elixir realm. At most, he was just a little stronger than an average practitioner at that level. He was definitely not as strong as a warrior at the pinnacle of the Golden Elixir realm. How could he display such shocking strength?
“What powerful martial arts. This is interesting. Is this also a legacy of the Ming Cult?” Gao Hanshan’s eyes were filled with shock. He had never seen any kind of martial arts that could increase the attacking ability of a warrior by so much.
Gao Hanshan’s abilities allowed him to see that Mo Wen’s attack had increased by such a large amount because of a certain martial art strategy. Even though the attack had expended a quarter of the youth’s inner Qi, the fact that he could use martial arts strategies several ranks above his own rank was deeply impressive.
“Grandfather, don’t hurt Mo Wen!” Jun Wulei had just emerged from the sea of lava to see his grandfather attacking Mo Wen. Jun Wulei was so afraid that his face turned pale. If Gao Clan attacked Mo Wen, how would he be able to answer to Gong Biluo? He would feel guilty forever.
“This has nothing to do with you.” Jun Wulei had just emerged from the sea of lava and was immediately returned to it thanks to another strike from Gao Hanshan. Jun Wulei once again disappeared below the surface of the magma.
