For a second there, Voss saw the figure of a mighty dragon with red eyes and scales overlapping with Arlo, and he was shocked.

Blinking his eyes, he blurted out, “Yulran?!”

“Don’t compare me to that old pervert.”

While saying those words, Arlo took a step forward, disappearing from his spot and dodging the second wave of beam Voss shot at him.

He was so fast that Voss and the onlookers weren’t able to follow his movement at all.

Voss’s eyes darted around in search of Arlo, but he failed to catch even a hint of his figure. It’s like he magically disappeared.

Even with his powerful sixth sense, he couldn’t sense where Arlo had disappeared to. Before he knew it, a fierce gale assaulted him from all sides, and the person he had been searching for and was on guard against suddenly appeared before him out of thin air.

“I am nothing like him.”

While reprimanding Voss, Arlo landed a fierce punch on his giant eye. He tried to dodge it but realized that he was immobilized. Arlo’s colorless aura was pressing on him from all sides. He couldn’t move even a single tentacle of his body.

‘I can only teleport away.’

It was a life-saving skill, and it had a cooldown of 5 seconds. Voss had the habit of using it when it really mattered, and this was one of those times. Arlo’s dragon fist was like a crumbling sky. If one were to get struck by it, the consequences would be too horrible to imagine.

Arlo realized what he was up to, seeing his figure giving off intense energy fluctuations.

“Aren’t you taking me too lightly?” He smirked and crossed his fingers.

With this simple act of crossing fingers, Arlo made Voss’s worst nightmare possible.

‘It failed?!!!’

Voss was shocked to the very fiber of his being as his teleportation didn’t work.

The very next moment, Arlo’s fist landed on his eyes. The impact didn’t only explode it and open up a 13-meter hole in his body but also destroyed the mountain behind it and forced the clouds overhead to part way, opening up the sky.

“Did he just teleport?”

Sandra wondered how Arlo suddenly appeared next to Voss. It didn’t look like he teleported there.

“No, he didn’t,” Roy said with confidence.

He could sense no energy fluctuation taking place when Arlo disappeared and teleported to Voss.

It could only mean he hadn’t used an ability or aura technique to do that and that he relied solely on his raw strength to move so fast that not just them but also Voss couldn’t trace his figure.

‘How high is his agility?’

Roy couldn’t inspect Arlo as there was a huge level difference between them, and he could only inspect those who were at most 15 levels above him.

He could only guess his true power level, and it had to be terrifying.

“What the public knows about him is definitely wrong. He isn’t just a grandmaster. He might very be equal to the Fierce Sword Count, a lord rank expert, better known as a swordmaster, or more powerful. And on top of that, he is a dragon’s disciple. He is a force to be reckoned with.” Roy concluded.

Meanwhile, seeing him regenerating, Arlo attacked him.

Voss tried to teleport again and succeeded this time.

A massive gap was created between them as he teleported as far away from Arlo as possible.

“You are using a technique only a Crimson Dragon can use. In recorded history, only Yulran has graced this world with his presence. How can you not be him? Do you take me for a fool?!”

“A long time has passed since you were sealed. You are just a relic of the past, nothing special, so of course, you don’t know that a lot of things have changed. What was undeniable in your times has long been defied by a few. There are people who defy common sense in this empire, and I am the strongest among them, and that’s what makes it truly terrifying!”

“Empire?!”

“The five kingdoms are no more. In the wake of the Sun Kingdom, all had to submit, resulting in the creation of an empire. Your dreams can no longer be realized.”

“In the past, I wished to conquer the kingdom. Once I return and gain control of Alis, I will take over the empire!”

“Save your bullshit for someone else!”

Arlo was like a ray of light as he powered up and charged towards him. Hundreds of meters were covered every split of a second. Voss, although he couldn’t see him because of how fast he was going, didn’t doubt that he would reach him soon.

“How can you be my match if you aren’t him?” His tentacles stretched out and whipped around. They weren’t soft but rock hard and extremely sharp. They lacerated space wherever they went. A fierce death trap was created around him, raising winds and creating hurricanes.

Anyone daring to step close to him would surely be shredded to pieces.

But Arlo didn’t stop advancing towards him.

“You are just too weak and slow!”

His figure flashed again and again as he dodged countless fast-moving tentacles and reached right where Voss wanted him to reach.

“You landed right in my trap.” All of his tentacles took a U-turn. Instead of spreading out, they closed in on them, hurtling through the air and stabbing towards Arlo’s back, head, and feet. “You really are just as arrogant as a Crimson Dragon. It will be the cause of your downfall.”

“What trap?” Arlo snorted, and his powerful voice rang in Voss’s ears like an explosion, causing his entire body to tremble and all of his tentacles to explode. “I don’t see any.”

Voss was left defenseless against him.

It was at this moment that Voss realized he had been playing with him from the very start.

Clearly, he was far strong than this avatar of his!

Suddenly, he heard Arlo’s voice.

“Since you can’t decide how you want to compensate me, let me do it for you! Your entire body will do!”

With those words, Arlo struck fear into Voss’s heart, and he retreated in a flash.

“I curse you to become my puppet. You will know of nothing, not love nor anger, except for the desire to serve me.” Voss cursed Arlo.

“Lookout! His curse is coming straight at you!” Roy shouted.
