Chapter 289 Taking Down Voss (Part-2)

Roy saw gusts escaping Voss's body and coming for not only them but also the villagers.

These gusts transformed into white ghost-like figures.

Inspecting them told him that they were a part of his curse.

If they were to enter someone, that person would fall victim to Voss's third avatar's curse and become his.

"Now you can dodge it, but the people below you won't be that lucky." Voss continued speaking to Arlo like a nasty bitch. "Its range is a few hundred miles, and everything in its range will instantly turn to dust. You have no choice but to defy it if you value their life. But if you defy this curse, they will fall victim to my second one and become my slave. What is it going to be, baldy?!"

Saying this, Voss fired the blast at Arlo. At the same time, he cursed everyone in the surroundings.

"My choice is quite obvious."

Arlo crossed his fingers, defying one of Voss's curses.

"I am going to use Power Defy to Defy your dirty little curse from affecting the innocents."

Roy saw all the ghost-like figures in mid-air disappearing. They turned to nothing as if they had never existed.

Arlo might come off as a pretty carefree guy, but he was burdened by immense responsibilities. He was the Third Hidden Blade of the Great Sun Emperor and one of the three heavenly knights of the Empire. His identity might be unknown, but who can deny that he had served the Empire wholeheartedly and loyally in the past and saved what it used to be from destruction? He was one of the main reasons why it came to be. Without him, the chances of the Empire ever coming into being were slim, next to none. The heroes in the light were recognized, but he and the other hidden blades weren't. But their accomplishments were greater than the emperor himself!

"And I am going to break your other curse with my fist."

Arlo's hands surged with strength as his first shot out, producing a golden light that quickly magnified and transformed into a 1000-meter large five-claws dragon with wavy whiskers.

It flew forward, raising strong gusts of winds, and met with Voss's ultimate in mid-air.

Boom!

The ultimate of the two powerhouses contended against each other, evoking resounding reverberation and powerful shockwaves that swept out like surging tides in an ocean.

Rays of lights burst out from the point of impact and illuminated the surroundings.

It was nighttime and completely dark a second ago.

But now it looked like it was daytime.

"It looks like we are equally matched." Voss gritted his teeth.

'Is this all I amount to?' he wondered.

"No, we aren't."

Arlo chuckled, and the five-clawed golden dragon suddenly opened its mouth.

What happened next, don't even ask.

It was something so shocking that Voss's butt hurt even though he technically didn't have one.

The dragon swallowed the ball of disintegration!

Daytime ended immediately.

Nighttime fell again.

The aura of their ultimate, which was pressing down on the people, scattered away, and they were no longer immobilized. They stood up and left their homes behind as they left the village with some money and their families in their hands.

The shockwaves resulting because of the two giants fighting might end them if they remained in the village longer.

"Come to the temple. I will protect you."

Whoever said this was someone the villagers worshiped.

They took shelter in the temple, which was the most eye-catching area of the village.

The dragon in the sky inflated as if it had eaten something bad.

Tevenlor's eyes thinned to the size of the needle when he sat that.

"Take cover."

He had just warned them when the dragon burst open like a balloon, and hundreds of rays of annihilation burst out, moving in a curve.

The rays transformed into various weapons as they fell down towards Roy, the people around him, and the villagers like rain, threatening to end them.

It seemed like the rain of weapons would end them and demolish their homes today.

"There's no need to."

Damien yawned as if it was not raining swords and told his people not to worry about it.

"Is it too insignificant for you to worry about?!"

Roy gaped at Damien, and his mouth was threatening to fall off his face, his jaw threatening to fall to the ground.

"You guessed that right."

With those words, Damien verified his guess.

Then, not only Roy but everyone around him also felt shocked. Does he really have the strength to overcome the rain of weapons that just disintegrated the mountain on the right, or is he just joking and overestimating himself?

Suddenly, Damien heard Arlo's voice.

"Hurry up and handle it."

Damien: "Yeah, I was planning to."

"Heed my call and appear, Red End,"

Damien raised his hand. Honestly, he was too beautiful. Maybe even a Goddess would pale in comparison to him. His hand was slender but powerful and full of muscles, slim ones, the type that didn't compromise his speed and granted him strength and elegance.

Roy saw roses blooming out of his slender but powerful palm, swirling into a sword.

It was like the moon; its surface was white and shiny. Only its tip was of a different color, redder than blood.

"Red End!"

Damien called out to his class weapon, and countless petals surged out of the sword, changing shape into a maiden with tender skin and a rosy face.

She looked like a fairy, a very sexy one.

Although not as beautiful as Roy's wife or Damien, she was extremely charming, and it was not wrong to say that a man would lose himself in staring at her.

A circlet made out of roses adorned the woman's shiny forehead. Jewelries of all kinds stuck to her skin like a man to his wife at night, accentuating her otherworldly beauty.

She had wings, transparent ones. Specks of dust fluttered out of them each time they were flapped.

Who was she? Roy and the Female Siren wondered.
