Chapter 1918: Hidden Player

When Odin thought of the Garden there is a bitter smile on his face. He sighed in his heart

It took him how many eons to be able to maintain his form on that garden

And yet, each time he goes to that garden, he could not help but wish to stay in it. Perfection is there and bliss is there

Immortality then become a burden instead of a blessing. He could only think that it is not yet his time.

But Odin did not hesitate to tell Azief this. Because his cause and effect is already too much, there is no worries adding some more.

This time Odin did not have the cautiousness he have in the past. Simply, because this time, it would be the End

When everything Ends, then cause and effect also ends. It is like the bank wiping out of all your debts.

” As for the other that is plotting against you and all the other scheme and plots, all of them could not see through all of the secret contained in every branch and every leaves in this tree”

“My plan was to tell you what happens in the other timeline. So, that you would know the full story and plan for yourself”

Azief hearing this could not help but open his eyes

Odin is not someone that likes to be all cloak and dagger about it.

Of course, if he have time and if the stakes was not so high, there is no problem leaving breadcrumbs and clues.

There is a reason why beings like them do not say things directly.

One of the reason is sometimes, certain things could only happen at a certain time

When destiny, fate and paternity meets, one could gain favourable situations

The other one is because beings like them did not like being entangled by cause and effect.

The things that requires them to step up would always involve deadly things and just because they are powerful beings did not mean that they could not be weakened.

When they do want to help, they help by leaving clues and hints.

But none of them would be as clearly as Odin now.

Odin himself likes leaving clues and guide people.

Azief however did not know the concern in Odin heart and how much determination it takes for him to do this. The moment he did this, there is no chance of turning back

But these glimpses made him certain of some of his guesses. And he could guess why this mortal chose to be like that in the other timeline.

Everything makes sense now

“So, if this is the case, then I should no longer stay on Earth” Odin have many plans when he descended down to Earth

He wanted to set up many chess pieces. He even chose a few already when he was at Earth. That is in the preparation if he was wrong in his feelings

And what is that feeling?

The feeling like there is a hidden player. He had always suspected this.

But after meeting Azief and seeing through the cause and effect and understanding certain things that he did not understand before, he confirmed the one thing he has always been curious about in that other timeline

And he could not help but sigh in his heart when he thought about it

“Maybe, hubris clouded my eyes” Odin thought to himself

he had never entertain the thought that after all this time, he never considered that instead of the chess players, he could also be one of the chess pieces
